He had an arterial bypass and the wound in his leg opened, the repair site ruptured, and he nearly bled out in the living room. Then tried to walk from the living room to get help (MIL was sleeping.)

It was a horrible mess. Looked like someone had been murdered in there.

Their homeowner's insurance didn't even balk at paying to replace the carpet and paint. Yeah, it was that bad. It was on the walls too.
