Open-ended MRI imaging centers is what you need to look for. We have plenty here where I live (Florida)...but MANY people cannot stand the long narrow tube to lay in for hour(s)....just like me! So, keep on searching for open-ended MRI centers!! *S*

Did you try Replacements Limited to search for your pattern pieces? Or even an eBay search? ..sm
Replacements Limited has been very helpful to me in the past. If you're determined to paint your own, go into Michael's and check through all their paints for those made especially for glass and ceramics. You'll end up having to hand wash and dry your item since the paint can't be fired on, but it should work, even if you have to keep touching it up as the years go buy. But do a search first and maybe you'll get lucky that way! :)
You might have to copy and paste to open this, as I tried a few times and it does not open. SM
It is worth looking at and warms your heart.

a dog up the road hated my 3/4 ton truck; turned out it was because he had been hit by an almost identical truck a few years before.
With all of my cats I have ended up
having to put them down because of pain and discomfort issues - was always scared I would be in your shoes at one point, and still may be - have 2 more now. I never could figure out which would be worst - making the decision or waiting. Hope it is the best it can be for both of you.
I ended up havng both
I first asked for a hysterectomy when I was 39 because of the suffering, but was told no due to my age.
Fast forward to age 43. I started missing a day of work every 17 days. Decided to have the NovaSure ablation. At first it was great. No products to buy! No missing work! But I still knew I was having a period because I would get emotional...not to the degree as before the procedure, but still depressed and irritable about every 17 days, plus I did continue to have low back pain and a bit of cramps. Over the next couple of years, I would spot on occasion.
At the end of the 2nd year, I started having extreme abdominal pain. Everyone thought it was GI related - irritable bowel syndrome. Nothing worked and finally the doctors stopped believing I was actually in pain...pain to the point I almost had to go on welfare because I couldn't work.
On my 3rd ER visit due to pain shooting down my legs from my pelvis, the ER doctor gave me a Medrol Dosepak, diagnosed me with neuropathy and referred me to a neurologist. The steroids reversed the ablation and I had the worst period I've ever experienced. Lesson here is never take steroids if you get the ablation. It wasn't in the literature of adverse reactions.
I decided to go back to my GYN who had told me to get the GI stuff straightened out first, but found she went out on an extended medical leave, so I went to another one in her building. Even with an ultrasound and examination, he said my uterus was enlarged, but not overly so.
After I had the hysterectomy, he told me my uterus had enlarged to such a large degree that it had been acting like a stopper for my GI system. I couldn't have BMs because the uterus was blocking the exit route. I spent 9 months in serious pain, bounced around from doctor to doctor, extremely frustrated not to know how to fix what was happening and not being believed, and gained 50 pounds from the hormones.
I am so glad I had the hysterectomy done. I feel great and I'm getting my life back.
Reading back over this, I sound like doomsday, don't I? LOL...I always get the extremes of everything in my life, so take my experience as aBnormal.
I saw a few attorneys and ended up sm
making up my own separation agreement, had an attorney look over it and he said it was fine. Attorney didn't want me to get the agreement, he wanted his $3K down and to drag it out in court for a year or so.
Go to the emergency room. That's what I ended
up doing for the same reason. I talked to my insurance company and he made me promise that I would go to the ER and tell them that I was in a mentally critical condition. They did give me anti-depressants although it does take a while for the full affect. At least you'll have something on board in the meantime. You should also be able to go to your PCP and get the same results. Whatever you do, go see a doctor. Either your PCP or go to the ER. They do understand and will help.
You will continue to be in my prayers.

I've ended the cazillion dirty glasses in the sink every day problem...
My husband and I got tired of the kids coming to the kitchen a bunch of times during the day and each time grabbing a new glass to drink from - even after we asked them to pick a spot on the counter to keep their glass at and rinse it out/wash it after every use. Previously we'd end up with the dishwasher filled on the top level with glasses every day.
I went to Target and found different colored plastic tumblers. I bought a tumbler for everyone in the household. At supper time tonight I put all tumblers on the table and told everyone to pick their favorite color. After this was done they were all told this is now their color to use, and they're solely responsible for their tumbler each day, and are to rinse/wash it as needed throughout the day. I then went to the cabinets and proceeded to pack up all but 4 glasses we have in the cabinet - and those 4 I've moved to the very top shelf. They know that if their tumbler is found outside of the kitchen the problem is solved of "who left the glass on the living room table?" None will be allowed to wonder to bedrooms or they'll lose their tumbler and have nothing to drink from but a small juice glass. If we have company they can use the 4 glasses on the top shelf.
This should work and we'll no longer have dishpan hands!
Ended up taking her to stat care last night...not hand foot and mouth. sm
Ended up that she had an allergic reaction to a Chestnut tree that she had been playing on!!! She had a few on her toes because she had been wearing sandles and was climbing on a fallen tree. She was picking the leaves and "seeds" and picking them open. The oil from the tree gave her a reaction and caused the blisters to form. Thanks for asking...and thanks to all who answered my first post!

What is your pattern name on back? I bought a magnolia pattern several years ago, actually paied $72 for an 8 piece setting from ABC Distributing. Gold trim with wine and hunter green stripe on outside with pinecones, magnolias and Berries, Magnolia pattern from Tienshan China. Curious if it is same set. Later I meb my best friend of 10 years now. We are so much alike and were stunned to know that we had the same set of china. Identical pattern. The only difference was that hers had a gold, wine and then deep blue band where mine was green. Hers also cost several hundred dollars and was a Savannah pattern or something of the like. What if you got a solid color gravey boat other than white, to match the set and maybe trimmed it with gold. Would still like to know that pattern.

Good Search engine
Hi Folks,
I am wonderng how many MTs know about the search engine Good Search. This is a search engine like Google but it is really neat because for every search 1 penny is donated to the not-for-profit group of your choice. You can pick out the group you would like your donations to go through by clicking on the letter of the alphabet and searching for your charity.
Of course I hope you will choose the group I volunteer with which is Pet Rescue By Judy, http://www.petrescuebyjudy.com
At any rate, this is a wonderful way for MTs to donate money to charity without any real effort on our parts and since there are so many of us we really have a great opportunity to help these groups. You can still use your other search engines but any clicks for charity over on GoodSearch will help! You can also use it when you do online shopping, say for instance on eBay. If you go to GoodSearch and just click on the shopping icon and then on eBay, you can shop as usual but a percentage will be paid to the charity of your choice and it does not cost you anything. They have many places participating in their shopping program.
Thanks for considering this

College search - For those of you who have had experience -
In your opinion, is it more fruitful to go on an open house when all the departments are out there with handouts and such, or on individual or small group appointments with maybe a little more one-on-one?
I'm overwhelmed already, and we've only been to two colleges!

several people said scrubbing nail polish remover worked for them (not for others). Unfortunately, you seem to have quite a mess to deal with. IF it does work, maybe you could get the girl to come back and help clean it up? A good chance to teach the girl that inappropriate behaviors bring consequences, a lesson she does not seem to be learning from her parents. Good luck with that carpet.
Good luck in your search...
Also remember, anything that says is is like 10k gold--especially white gold--also has nickel. Be very careful with your skin!
I am one of those people who belongs in a bubble almost literally.
there are usually places where you can get
kitchen cabinets, sinks, and bathroom vanities and sinks and other fixtures that are discontinued models at a discount and if the kitchen is small you can probably find what you need.
Know both places well
Grew up in Texas and have live near or in both what would you like to know and I will try and help.
Want to say this, some of the places
are not what I would consider very nice upkeep. Have been to the Flamingo to see shows but old, run down to my liking, also very smoke filled casino where you walk in off the street. I am surprised has not been 1 of the 1 demolished to tell you the truth. Monte Carlo may be ok- is on the strip. Lots stay at MGM, looks really nice from the lobby view. The Stratosphere is really low on my totem pole, did not like the atmosphere there. You want to stay on the strip I would think, easier to get around. The taxis are costly, ride the trolley, also there is free rides to places. The last time I was there found a place off the strip I wanted to see show- called the hotel and they told me where to catch free ride!! Lots of places offer those- people just don’t know to ask. The buses are cheap enough. Lots of walking- long, long blocks.
Hi, not just the ads here, although I do think that of all places,,,,sm
an MT forum and networking site should be more representative of what actually takes place in this field. There are ads on the internet, TV, magazines, just about everywhere. I think they should tone down the "rhetoric" quite a bit, and stop using hopeful young woman/moms as THEIR meal ticket with mostly UNREALISTIC and misleading "guarantees!" Really gripes me! Thanks for responding!
They are a scam. Do a search, lots of info.

Have been loads of places
Greece, Mexico (5x there), Puerto Rico, Bahamas (4x there, Jamica, Alaska and my hubs fav is Las Vegas (6x there)- I was only in Jamica for a week but had a blast there, so much to do. I probably would save my favorite and most gorgeous (water included) was probably Alaska. Very hard trip for me, so far and I thought only trip of a lifetime but I think I have changed my mind and would love to return. It would be between Jamica and Alaska and I am past the beach thing now. Have a great time!
Been to lots of places
My favorite all-time place for me has to be Salzburg Austria (birthplace of Mozart), if you want sunny beaches the best time my hsbnd & I ever had was Ibiza (one of the Balearic Islands located in the Mediterranean Sea). We had two weeks of peace and quiet in a little bungalow. Spent every day lying on the beach, drinking sangrias & munching on paella and fresh seafood. Hiked all over the place. Had to take a bus from the airport to the hotel which was a very interesting ride as I felt like I was in a Romancing the Stone movie (we rode with animals on the bus). Sounds horrid but it was actually fun. My other "beach" vacation spot is Greece. Was there for a week. Lots and lots and lots to do there. Beaches, sightseeing, shopping. Mind you these were the mid 1980s when Reagan was president (and our country was a little well more liked than now), so not sure about safety in other countries. Hands down though I say Ibiza has to be the best if you want a relaxing beach vacation.

some urine has gotten under, between, or into the wood panels on the floor. You may end up having to pull those out and replace them. Don't use any kind of cleaner that has ammonia in it - as it will ATTRACT the cat to that spot.
There is a very good product called "Nature's Miracle", and they also make a cat-specific formula, too. It has enzymes that eat the invisible crystals of urine that you can't see or smell, but your cat - with 1000 x's better smell than humans, can still smell. There is also a similar product called "Anti-Icky-Poo" that works the same way.
Be sure your cat has more than one litter box, and try keeping them as clean as possible. Most cats don't like scented litter, so try using unscented only. The hard-clumping kind is the best, because you'll leave less traces of urine behind when you scoop. Experiment with litter depths. Lots of cats don't like it very deep. (Like my cat). Kind of defeats the scooping feature, but having to wash & replace litter more often due to using less may actually be a good thing.
My cat actually prefers NO litter... and either just a bare box, or one with some paper towels on the bottom. Only thing is, that way it's only good for one use, and has no odor-control.
If you use a domed litter box, try removing it. Some cats feel claustrophobic in them, and they can intensify odors inside (like a human's port-a-potty). If it's a big cat, try a larger litter pan. (A plastic sweater-storing box, like you'd get at K-Mart or Wal-Mart, makes a good "jumbo" litter box.)
If you only have one box, add a second. (A good rule of thumb is one box per cat, +1 extra). My cat likes to pee in one box, and poo in the other.
Try putting the box(s) in the spot(s) where he goes. If it's not in a good place for YOU, but he's using it reliably, you can gradully move it about an inch a day to your desired location.
Is there anything psychological that could be going on? (Which is MY cat's problem!) Is the litter box in a noisy place, like next to a washer or dryer? Is there a new cat hanging around outside that he can see and is worried about? (That was also happening here... I bought some cat/dog repellent and spray it around outside every couple days to keep them away from the front door, where my cat can see them.) I also tried spraying some of it in areas where I didn't want her to pee indoors, but with about 80% success.
I'm in the midst of trying the Feliway "Comfort Zone" synthetic pheromone products right now. It's EXPENSIVE stuff! But anything's worth a try at this point. One bottle is a diffuser (kind've like a bathroom scent-thing) that you plug into an electrical socket in the room. I use mine in the corner of the kitchen where the litter boxes are. There's also a spray bottle. If the cat is SPRAYING (like on the walls), they say to spray it where the cat sprays. It's supposed to be pretty effective. But for litter-box avoidance it can be less effective. For that problem I sprayed a little bit IN the litter boxs (she has 3!), and found the first 2 days it worked well. Kitty had a relapse this morning, so I'm hoping that was just a slip, and that the Feliway will keep on helping.
I called Rescue again, and they said that even though she tested negative for a UTI, that she would still have a very low-grade one that doesn't register on the test. They swear by putting the litter-box-avoiding, negative-urine-tested cat on about a month of antibiotics anyway, and that it often clears up the problem.
So I may try that next. The ONLY other thing I haven't tried yet is putting her on an antidepressant such as Prozac or amitriptyline... which I don't think her pet insurance will cover, and I don't think I can afford. I guess amitriptyline is sometimes a good choice, not only for its calming effects, but also it's anti-inflammatory properties.
It's not an easy problem to deal with, so I wish you luck, and I hope I might have had an idea that might help.
Different places when no office available
I have been in just about every room of my house at one time or another. I started out working in the kitchen years ago because I had dialup and the apartment I lived in had only a phone jack there. The kitchen was my favorite because it was away from all the noise--that was when the kids were smaller, though.
I have had a desk in the bedroom before. It was handy when the kids were at school or hubby was home to take care of them, otherwise it was a pain because it was in the back of the house and if they needed something I had to get up from my desk.
The family room is okay, unless you have really loud family like mine. My kids must be deaf sometimes, I swear. Oh yeah and they argue in there over the TV the PlayStation, etc. However, you can deal with some of that from the desk without having to get up. It is a fair trade most of the time.
I had two different mobile setups over the years. One was laptop which was okay, but before WiFi, so expensive. The second, I had a desk on wheels that had everything I needed. I could roll it out to the back porch and sit there to work while the youngest was out playing. This was good for mild weather. Be forewarned, if it is really hot outside where you are, you may have PC problems. I used to have one that would overheat and shut itself off. Ugh!!. Oh, BTW, direct sunlight is bad if you have a laptop or plasma screen, so make sure you have shade!
I currently have my own "little room" for now which basically is the size of a really huge walk-in closet with a window and a door. I shut the door when the kids are home because the words "please be quiet, I cannot hear when you are yelling at eachother" apparently are not in teenager-ese.
Hope this was helpful!

Not in a million years would I want a celebrity lifestyle with all it's attendant trappings! I cannot begin to imagine the stress level that comes with it, including protecting one's privacy and that of one's family as well. Too often, I have seen a celebrity or their child brought before the glaring spotlight for America to inspect and dissect because of some err in judgment on their part. Besides, I'm not good enough with money to handle my meager salary, let alone the vast amount that a celebrity garners! LOL
