that's the product that is mixed with velveta, usually around christmas and new years's, in a slow cooker for a really great dip, but it can get hot to someone not used to eating more spicy foods. The can is more the size of a can of soup than regular vegetable cans.

Rotel
Combination of diced tomatoes and chilli peppers. Some people use it in everything they cook. Frankly, I can live without it.
Rotel
I think what you might be talking about is a product that's canned tomatoes with chili peppers. I've lived all over the Midwest and have always been able to find it in the canned tomato aisle.
What pray tell is Rotel ?? nm

Also for an added idea take a brick of softened cream cheese and pour some mexican Ro-tel on and serve with chips. Also add some cooked ground sausage to the Velveeta with Ro-tel.

Rotal adn Velveeta are staples in my home and I live in WA and I can buy it at any major grocery store.

HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY!!!!
Is Rotel a Southern Thing?

I just heard of it today, for the first time. Is it like cheese whiz?

That depends...There are rotel tomatoes but..
There is also a rotel dip: Ground beef, cheese whiz/cheese sauce, rotel tomatoes that is cooked up and served over nacho/dorito chips.  Is that what you are referring to?
