on the contrary...

My parents are that age. I guess I look at death differently. It amazes me that everyone is SHOCKED when a person in their 80s or 90s dies. You really cannot expect someone to live forever. My dad runs circles around me and my siblings and I'm sure one of these days he will probably just collapse and die, or die in his sleep. Will I be shocked? No. Sad? Yes.

The news said Ed McMahon had been in the hospital the past 4 months. Would I want someone I loved to suffer for 4 months in the hospital. Absolutely not.

Quite the contrary, it's an excellent and (sm)
proven way to reduce weight and improve your health.  There are different phases to low carb.  Not all do it for the weight loss, in fact, but the energy and good overall feeling that comes with eliminating processed carbs.  If you've never tried it, don't knock it.  Once one has achieved their desired weight loss with low carb, they can still maintain a low carb lifestyle without further weight loss.  It works and it's proven.  The energy that you get back is the biggest plus to this LIFESTYLE - yes, it's a lifestyle, not a "diet."
Vitamin K does exactly the contrary, it
COUNTERACTS the blood thinning.

So, people whose blood has become too thin by possible overdosing on blood thinners, SHOULD eat foods containing a lot of vitamin K.
They should especially eat yoghurt which contains a lot of vitamin K.

Aspirin is a strong blood thinner due to containing salicylates.

There are also a lot of foods that contain salicylates and people who take prescription blood thinners, like Coumadin, Heparin, Plavix etc... should avoid those.

You can Google foods that act as blood thinners, opposite foods that contain a lot of vitamin K.

They have the opposite effect.

I think green vegatables also contain vitamin K and will help stop excessive bleeding.

NO BASHING, please!
