Trulyl inspiring. What you have both found your soul-mates for life. For most,
and I can tell you from experience and experience of friends and family, a lot of problems in marriage is caused by selfishness. I'm saying a lot, not all problems.
If you both give selflessly (thus, having to work at it), then you can have a great marriage.
Some marriages come naturally (like yours) and others not so natural. Two people brought together with different needs and wants and desires and we must let them "be" and give a lot of ourselves, and them to us, and then your marriage can be wonderful.
start by taking charge of your life in 1 small way
Start exercising again. If you can't walk, do you get a channel on tv that has a fitness show? Can you borrow fitness tapes from the library? I wouldn't start with the divorce right away; I would pick something smaller to change to start with. I know this is easier said than done. Good luck.
I think soul..

God keep her little soul...sm
I have a 3-year-old daughter, just a couple months younger than Caylee Anthony. This story has shaken me from the very start. I just cannot understand. My life would be over if something happened to my daughter. I'm sure the grief would kill me. I hope and pray that she is with God now and that her family, the ones who loved her, that is, can have some peace and healing. So incredibly sad.
Wise ol' soul
I really do, especially around this time of year. But, I ws lucky to have him as long as i did.
And, Silver has always been a wise ol' soul. He is a great comfort. But, unfortunately Silver has cancer and is getting really thin. So, I think he will be with my husband before too long.
That picture was taken a few years ago.
battle for your soul
I finally had to pretend God and the devil were fighting it out for my soul. So I wasn't standing up to the cigarettes, but the devil himself. God won. A little melodramatic, but withdrawal is pretty dramatic.
soul mate
I am not sure what your definition of a soul mate is or your definition of a good husband, but when you complain about your husband not being helpful enough to you, it sounds like you want to hire a nanny.
You are a good soul to care for her
It sounds like no one has cared for her in quite some time. I believe kennel cough is easily treatable and hopefully the other things will be too. She must be going through a rough time with all that going on and adjusting to her new home. I hope she brings you much joy and happiness !
My stepmom, rest her soul
used to love to have my child visit (we are talking in 60s/70s and so) as did her mother who visited them quite a bit. She always talked about how my son loved to be around her mother, her mother quilted, broke the beans in the summer as did my son right along with them. The stepmom only in say 14 years or so (they first took him home with them, my dad and his wife when my son less than 6 months old) that my son acted out on her- at a grocery when she had bought him something and he wanted more. She was mortified that he would have done this. She said he never did this again as he got his privilges taken away. The kids now are certainly in a different place then when mine growing up and I think the Man above for allowing me to raise my children then, not now.
poor troubled soul?!
Hopefully, the good Lord will see to it that this "poor troubled soul" gets what he rightfully deserves for killing and quickly! Instead bless the innocents that happened to get in this idiot's way!
If she'd had an abortion you would never even know about it.

By not having an abortion.
Like I said, it's not ideal, but so many people are so judgemental toward people who have kids young - at least they didn't take the easy way out and get an abortion. I am not a pro lifer, but I do respect people who are willing to step up and raise their kids no matter what age they are. I have friends who were forced to have abortions by their parents because they got pregnant young because the parents were so afraid of what people would think, and that's not right either.
I don't think their mom is going to win any mother-of-the year awards, but if she didn't accept Jamie Lynn's decision than she greatly reduces her chances of having a good relationship with the grandchild. Babies are a gift - even when they aren't born into the perfect suburban home. I'm not saying teen pregnancy is a good thing, but it happened, and now she has to make the best of a tough situation.
I'm against abortion, as well.
If you're referring to recognizing their civil union as a marriage, I am against it.
If abortion is murder ...
How do you treat a woman who has had an abortion? Do you treat her differently from a woman who strangled her newborn? Or a woman who killed the neighbor lady because she wanted the neighbor man for her own?
bless your soul....thanks for watching our for defensless friends.

I LOVED Bobby Sherman and David Soul, sm
Now, it's Zac Efron. Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm WAYYYYY too old, but he is such a cutie, and I don't think I'm the only mom that thinks that way - thank heaven's he's 21..
I prefer Danny. He's got soul, unlike Adam.

Human nature...sm
How many people make New Years resolutions (pledges)? How many break them during the year? Teens are fighting hormones, peer pressure, constant exposure in TV shows/movies, etc. With few exceptions, I think pledges are meaningless unless the person making them is determined to carry them out. I agree with another poster about the father-daughter pledge events. I think it is a bit creepy.
Human names
I name all mine human names as they are a part of the family. Plus, when you meet someone by that name it is hilarious! I especially love old fashioned names for them. Right now I have a Hazel, Eliza, Eleanor and Stella that I named. Named one Nick as I found him at Christmas time for St. Nick.
I agree with abortion being a choice.
should everyone see an ultrasound beforehand? I am for the choice to do as you choose. I believe in freedom as well, but there are people out there that believe abortion is murder. That is all I was stating above there. What I am saying is that there are circumstances like some named in this thread that shall we say "warrant" an abortion, but those "rules" would need to be up to the lawmaker. Are we only talking about teenage pregnancies or pregnancies after the age of 45? What type of pregnancies are we talking about that the mother should look at the ultrasound beforehand? There would be a lot of ifs, ands, and buts, for this to become a law, wouldn't some agree? That is all I was stating there. I think this may have been misinterpreted. Of course, I believe a woman has the right to choose in regards to her own healthcare whether it be an abortion, a hysterectomy, or to have a fracture fixated. All the same to me. Sorry if I have offended anyone, but that is how I feel.
Anonymous question regarding abortion (sm)
With this being a major factor in the political arena right now I wanted to ask this:
For anyone who has ever had an abortion (and there are many of us), were/are you ok with it still or did you have a period of extreme guilt/anxiety over it? I had one and did not terribly regret it, other than a short grief period, until I actually had children. I went through about two years of horrible guilt and remorse. I am now pro-life. I feel an abortion kills an innocent child and causes emotional scars for the mother that will never go completely away. I feel that I am not deserving of complete happiness in my life, ever, because I denied my child the right to have a life and attempt to find happiness. I know my reasons at that time and I know I felt like it was something I had to do, but the fact is many of us had them to avoid the shame, embarassment and/or financial burden that we feared. We thought we couldn't give our child a decent life even if we had him/her. The thing is, for the small price of some embarassment/shame and inconvenience, we could have given a family without a child a chance to have a child to love and raise, we could have given that child an opportunity to grow and seek happiness, even with obstacles to overcome. Instead, many of us chose a more selfish route, convincing ourselves it was less selfish. Anyway, that's how I feel about it. How about you.
I'm pro-choice. Abortion is not murder. SM
Abortions are performed very early on in pregnancy. I'm afraid to say this, but basically, it is a lump of tissue. Women have to right to form their own opinion, but the idea a person is aborting a roly-poly fully formed baby is a crock. This is propaganda devised by right-winged fundamentalists, many of whom happen to be men.
I do believe in practicing safe sex, so abortion will not be needed. That is the ideal, but we are all only human.
No, I never had an abortion. I had my daughter at age 25, after being married 5 years. My daughter was married at 30 and had her first child at 31. We are both Pro Choice.
What about Gay Rights and FOCA (abortion) then?
hmmmm?
We can legalize Gays and Abortion but prostitution, pot, marijuana etc. (much lesser evils) should be "prosecuted heavily", oh come on .... It's all about "feeling good". If gays 'feel good' with each other and teenage moms 'feel good' to abort then what's your issue with pot or marijuana users? Don't they have a right to feel good with all the economic benefits for government?
Whoever said abortion feels good? nm

The one here has more automated registers than human cashiers (sm)
and they don't work half the time. They often have one or two "real" cashiers and 5 or 6 self-check outs open. Recently I had an entire cart full of things I intended to purchase and waited in line while one person after another had a problem with the self-check registers and the poor one cashier assigned to them ran from one to the other trying to help. I got so frustrated that I left my cart full where it was and walked out. Also their bathrooms are absolutely disgusting!
I know its human nature to discuss things such as
there is a 21-year-old college student missing from my home town. She has not been seen since Friday. Her name is Leah Hickman. Her sister and the police were on Fox News last night - Greta (not sure of her last name) interviewed them. Please keep Leah and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Wow, aren't you 2 just the nicest human beings?!! NOT. sm
How mean you are and hateful -she's still a person and deserves some compassion, not hatred because she is overweight. It's a hard struggle to lose weight, I speak from experience. You just sound like a fat-hater, which seems to be the only politically correct HATE allowed in this country these days.
Dogs/Adoption of human kids
Boxers are just adorable! I love them! I have 3 pugs. I dunno - I just have this thing for pushed-in face (brachycephalic) dogs. Pugs are a pretty lazy breed. They sleep about 34 hours a day. They are very cuddley and loving. My oldest is 8, my second is 7 and my third is just shy of 6 (the older 2 are males, the youngest is a female). I have 2 black pugs and 1 fawn. I am going to be devastated when they die. They're going to have to lock me up in a psych ward and keep me heavily medicated. Hubby and I have been married almost 18 years. We tried for 14 of those to have a (human) baby. We went to all the best specialists, including the University of Connecticut, when we lived there. We're amongst the 20% of people where they just cannot figure out why we could not get pregnant, so my pugs are my babies. As fate would have it, 2 years ago, my uterus prolapsed, a grade 2 prolapse. I was wiping one day after going to the bathroom and felt a bulge. Well, having worked in the medical field since 1988, I was curious, so I pulled out a mirror and thought "I'll be damned - that looks just like my cervix." It was. Because of the degree of prolapse, I had to have an abdominal hysterectomy about 2 months later.
Now, adoption, you say? It's nothing more than buying a baby anymore, with the lawyers getting rich. An American baby runs around $40-50,000 and there's no guarantee the mother won't rescind on her offer, which would just absolutely devastate me. Foreign adoption? Runs around $20-30,000 dollars. We just don't have the money. I think Chinese and Russian babies are just beautiful and would love to have one.
Our next option is foster children and we're seriously considering that in a couple years. I'm leaving it in God's hands. It's God's will in God's time and if He wants me to have a baby, it will happen. If we're lucky, we'll end up with a wonderful foster child (they all carry baggage - though who doesn't? - if you don't believe this - go see the play A Chorus Line - if you've been knocked around by life, even just a little, bring tissues. Every member of that chorus line has a very sad story to tell) that just might come up for adoption. Like I said, God's will in God's time. Right now, I consider myself very lucky to have my puggies. It's all I can do not to get a fourth, but they average 75 pounds, and I weigh 120. There's no way I can handle 4 of them dragging me down the street. The visual is enough to make me laugh.
Human placenta can be served as a food?
Some experts use this for beauty purposes as an ingredient for beauty products but this is what I've got as I watch our television set, human placenta is served as food in some restaurants in other countries. Is it true? Have you tried eating or tasting it? News for me !!!
See the link below for a recipe.
I LOVE human names for animals...
...I think they are really cute. I especially like the idea of having old fashioned names for them! Thanks for the idea!
No matter what laws are made, if women want to get an abortion
then they will. I have a couple of abortions prior to a marriage and prior to my 2 children. I have never so called suffered because of my decision, in fact I was young and could not have taken care of any children. I do not regret this decision. Either legal or illegal, makes no difference in a woman making the decision to seak an abortion.
Don't you remember Ronald Reagan's stance on abortion? sm
It was "I'm PRO-CHOICE. If the unborn baby has a choice, I am PRO-CHOICE."
You are correct: The majority of people would NOT vote for abortion
But they WOULD vote FOR Reproductive Choice. Speaking of "activist judges" - how do you feel about the handful that installed a War Criminal in our Whitehouse?

Disagree-it is NOT human nature. My husband thinks that too (sm)
My husband covered his fishing pole in the back of his truck one day because he said some "average Joe might walk by and take it" because it was just too tempting with it showing. Average Joe wouldn't rummage through the truck and take it - that would just make him a thief, but if Average Joe saw a fishing pole there in plain sight, he might take it. That is wrong to say that you cannot expect someone to come into your home and work for ou and not take anything, that it is human nature. It is NOT human nature. It is stealing and it is wrong. I am not perfect by any means but if I was working as a housekeeper I would not take anything that was not mine.
So were they stolen by a thief? Lol or just a person with human nature? (sm)
I probably would have just warned the cleaning person that some things had been missing and if she happened to put something in a new place to let me know because were having some things we could not find. If it continued I would find someone else.
and the crime rate dropped 20 years after abortion was legalized

Loneliness is part of the human condition. Learn to embrace it
It is inevitable that for the first year, you will feel drawn back to what you are familiar with (Stockholm syndrome?). But, try to relish in the peace in the house and create a routine that includes some pampering. When my thoughts turn to feeling isolated being single, I read books, garden, watch T.V., go shopping or go for a walk.
Since you have kids, they will be a pleasant distraction.
There is hope in me but deep down I have to realize at 48, that I am not good at relationships, attracting men like your husband with addictions or personality characteristics that are difficult to deal with (immaturity).
It seems that being alone with occasional bouts of loneliess is preferable to a relationship in which I have to be the adult.

anyone taking Yaz ........... sm
anyone taking Yas specifically to treat PMS symptoms??? my doctor gave me three months' worth of Yaz to see if it helps my symptoms. i haven't taken the pill in ages. when i used to take it, i got really bad migraines. i've been doing a little research, and found that people have side effects like nausea, anxiety, weight gain. i know side effects differ from person to person, but wondering what your experience was. i'm not a big pill taker.
thanks
Try taking
vitamin C 500 mg with the iron, it is supposed to help with the iron absorption and help with constipation and nausea as well.
On top of being anemic, I also have psoriasis, so I have my hair falling out (including pubic, lol) and constantly looks like I have extremely dry skin on my face, ears and scalp.
