I am glad to hear someone talking about this. I am 49 and have had this problem for the last year or so. It's very annoying.
Tylenol PM is over the counter and supposedly nonaddictive. I take it 2 or 3 nights a week, and I am able to sleep through the night. I only take it when I have been working until 9:00 or 10:00 PM and know I will be too keyed up to sleep. Sometimes you just know you will have trouble staying asleep!
Anyone else have this problem - I cannot fall asleep if hubby has the air conditioner going. I need absolute quiet to fall asleep. Maybe it's the wearing earphones 10 hours a day!

melatonin is something completely different. It raises the serotonin level, the sleep level. Too much of it knocks me out. Nightmares, hangover the next day.

You're not supposed to take Tylenol
if you consume alcohol. Don't take it if you consume alcohol regularly, and don't take it if you drink a lot of alcohol in one night.
Tylenol (acetaminophen) is dangerous, not aspirin
Patti is right - aspirin can safely be given to dogs. It's Tylenol (acetaminophen) that is dangerous to give to dogs, and I believe also to cats. (Anyone with doubts, please call the nearest veterinarian, but I know several vets have told me so, I've had probably 20 dogs in my life, and though I love cats, I'm allergic to them  ) The animal livers can't handle Tylenol like human livers (and it's also very dangerous to our livers in overdoses) Chocolate is also bad for dogs, by the way.
They usually advise Motrin and Tylenol for pain. sm
I see a lot of this in ER work, and they are never really concerned. Only the pt is concerned and in pain. Take some otc pain meds and it should go away soon.
Hot (but not super hot) chocolate and a couple Tylenol.

One in particular where the guy is huge and obnoxious and shouts his way through the whole commercial about his cars. Why do they have to shout??? 
TV holiday commercials
Of course, there are zillions of commercials now with Christmas coming up. I just had to tell you my favorite and see if you have one. This would be fun.  This week, there have been tons of diamond commercials on TV, Zales, etc. There is one where the family comes down the stairs and somebody is sneaking a look in a present (it should be one of the kids). All they show is the mom and a close up of her face being caught! Then they say something about diamonds etc. I usually don't pay attention to commercials but I love that! She looks like a real mom, and I felt like that was what I would do, getting caught at sneaking a look. (Of course it would not be diamonds, but I'd still get caught even if it was a blender LOL).
Those and the herpes commercials...(sm)

drives my DH crazy cuz I always grab the remote from him during commercials to change the channels. I have gotten very good at watching at least 3 shows at one time. Guess maybe I should have been a man. LOL!
