You need a "family hobby." I am also around your age and I have discovered that the only way I am going to keep my family together is to do stuff with my family. If you go back to work in an office that will just confirm that you are all going your separate ways in life, but if you can stir it up a little bit and be a little eccentric and drag everyone along for the ride! (which is what I did with all different kind of bizarre field trips and hobbies). The hardest part is getting everyone to trust each other again, but I do think that it is the right thing to do, and added bonus to taking your family hostage for fun outings is that you are less lonely.
