my point is I would like people to be aware that it is common (sm)

so there is not such a stigma about it. I don't think it is as big a deal as people make of it.

My point was that it was common for everyone else's kids...
to be there. The day before I left, one of the VPs was having a pizza party in the break room for her daughter and some friends...not even relatives.
I would say go for it. Just be aware of surroundings and people, but
xx
Some people are just not aware how dangerous
it is. I tried to talk with my sister-in-law about her husband (the half-brother of my husband). She has worked in the medical field. I was so sorry my words not heeded. I have been around him, seen him falling asleep just sitting down, the wreck, even out of town with my husband 1 night my DH told me about his horrible snoring, he is overweight but diabetic too and does not pay much attention to that. You cannot help where they don’t want it.
I totally understand your point but people saying itch when they mean scratch
.
Case in point - I am talking about people thinking things out
I said some women went to a psychiatrist. He asked them to strip - which they did- he is a psychiatrist- he does not do physicals. They are on television telling how they pulled their blouses up when he asked them to. Now do you understand?
his head is over the door. People double-take, point, and laugh. Everybody loves big sweet Walter. n

Be aware
there are companies preying on job seekers.  I have received several spam emails, they look legit, but they want a one time payment fee accompanied by an application, resume, etc.  Google them, then block and delete them from your email account.
not that I am aware of. --sm
I do believe that amazon has it though. or just type in TheSecret.com and it could take you to their website.
and be aware anyone with one of those--sm
Smart Alarmclocks, like me, that the smart clocks are not smart enough to know that the govt had to make yet another d*u*m*b move and change things (and the reason is???)and will not change to daylight savings time on the new date. now these Smart Alarmclocks will change to daylight savings time on the ORIGINAL date and change back on the ORIGINAL date, so we paid extra for something that is totally useless now....I want my money back or change the time back! which I thought was a useless idea in the first place!

had my daily vent. sorry. keep smiling. ks
do be aware though...
After my tubal, OMG...my periods were horrible.  Never had a problem before the tubal, but after...I got severely iron deficient, absolutely no ferritin whatsoever, and had to have IV iron therapy to get back on track, not a fun experience.  Just be aware that this can happen, maybe speak to your doctor about it before you decide to go ahead with the tubal.  Good luck with whatever you choose!
just be aware that--sm
what the temporary denture looks like in hand is nothing like what it looks like in your mouth. You just cannot tell by looking at it how it is going to look on you, or how it will feel. good luck. I hope you are more happy with your outcome than I was/am. :^)
I am very aware
of what you're saying, but at this point, I'll do anything to get my daughter away from this loser. My son did not actually see the records per se, but he is privy to information regarding inmates at the jail. And no, I do not expect my daughter to not have sex again, but if I can help it, it WILL NOT be with this joker. Why am I being made out to be the bad guy here? I'm protecting MY child...she's still a child, only 17, and still living under our roof, with us supporting her. So yes ma'am, I have every right to do whatever it takes to protect her from her own bad judgement.
I'm aware of that
As I noted in the previous post, I did say that the love I felt was for the man he isn't now. There also is a degree of romantic idealism at work here. Hard though it may be to believe, when I was a little slip of a lass, when I dreamed of my future spouse, it was of a dark-haired blue-eyed cowboy, living in the middle of nowhere, with a bunch of horses, and in R, I found that. The first time I laid eyes on him, my heart stopped, and even after being together about 2 years, even after all that had happened, that was still the case.

However, him serving time in jail at this point will, in essence, save me from myself. When his drinking would escalate to where I couldn't cope at all, I have run home and stayed there, shed my tears, etc. He would always contact me, begging me to "come home", saying he understood things needed to change, etc. I'm thinking that after I've sent him to jail, he's not going to be asking me back, and in a year, no matter how much I love him, I will have moved on in my life. To steal a cliche, I'm not one of those people where absence makes the heart grow fonder. I'm not exactly out of site, out of mind, but to maintain the psychological hold that he has, whether it's love or whatever, requires more ongoing attention that he is going to be able to provide from a prison 600 miles away without phone calls (I don't have a landline he can make a collect call to) or even email (I don't think they get those in prison, do they?).
Well aware, still a shock
when you see it laid out in black and white, and it becomes a reality.
I'm well aware of the statistics but

that's all they are.  You cannot make factual claims based on statistics.  I personally know of people with both pancreatic and ovarian cancer.  While the survival rates are grim, there are survivors.  Furthermore, the claim stated that he had 5 weeks to live.  Since when does a doctor stick an expiration tag on someone like that? I've worked for several oncologists and not one patient was ever given an expiration date as exact as that.

Treatments do work and can shrink the size of someone's cancer, thereby increasing their survival rate and prolonging their life.  Your chance of survival is also based on many factors:  lifestyle, hereditary factors, early detection, methods of prevention, etc.  While many may eventually succumb to the disease, still some do survive.  I would never spread spread rumors with my source being a gossip column.  What does the name tell you?

I'm well aware of such business ventures.
It is one thing to have legal international business ventures and quite another for our financial institutions to be actively pursuing illegal aliens in this country and offering them financial sanctuary.

Go douse yourself with some of that flea repellent, lol.

sorry...just ask. They're much more aware of music than you think! :) nm
s
I was not aware this was a test question. SM
I answered honestly. I am sorry it was not to your liking. If you want me to agree with you, okay, your ex is nuts and call the police on him. Whatever.

Just remember one thing, troubled people tend to gravatate toward each other in life. Think about it.
Being aware of it doesn't mean they would excuse it...SM
Especially with the bee in the bonnet that was obvious based on the follow-up post by OP. There ARE teachers and administrators who go on power trips.
I'm not aware of any standards at public places
And to add to your point about Mexicans, all their dirty business is NOT only under their fingernails. Have you not heard of the gangs they have all over this country...something 13 or another they call themselves. They are viscious, ruthless people, and are going into areas where they think the local law officials won't be on to them. They try to intimidate and scare communities into silence so they can get their garbage drug trade and smuggling stuff going in silence. Our prisons are so full of illegals, they can't hold the legals, but of course, lets not gather them up and deport them back to their wonderful country...lets house and feed them, give their kids a free education better than they're getting there, free healthcare, the list goes on and on. Now, our president wants to make sure they can get SS benefits....for WHAT? In our community, you can go into Wal-Mart late in the evening and our stores are full of young Mexicans, mother, father, and always a baby, maybe 2 or 3, but where do you suppose they were born? The parents can't or won't speak English (since they want to be a loyal US citizen). My daughter teaches a school where the kids abound and their parents are most likely illegal, but until we stop this practice of giving citizenship to an illegal born in this country, this will never change. I'm with Ron Paul on this one....we can't keep a sovereign nation when we allow an invasion of our country. We can't absorb these people into our communities without major negative consequences.
your being heard made her aware of her rudenss

Were you at all aware of the 60s and 70s? That's exactly what the bulk of rock stars WERE doing!
fffff
that's not my intention. I just wanted to make him aware s/m
of how he was hurting my son's feelings. I do see your point, though. Hubby has never been violent...I will NOT tolerate that. He is just gets frustrated very easily and yells.
they are aware of it, not a virus, they fixed it once and are working on it NM

Klonopin is a wonderful drug but a benzodiazepam. Be aware of withdrawal.
I was placed on Klonopin during a stressful year when sleep was elusive, leaving me dragging all day.

It worked amazingly. But, there came a time I had to get off of it. I thought I could just stop taking it. Not so. The drug leaving my system placed me in a state that was far worse than the anxiety I took it for. For three months, I had ringing in my ears, was in an agitated state that I likened to listening to fingernails being scraped across a chaulkboard and then having that sound magnified a thousand times.

I watched a show that featured drug addicts in a methadone clinic and one person interviewed said that the worst drug to get off of was "bennies." Worse than heroin and methadone, and I believe him. I also came to realize there are many people hooked on these powerful drugs simply because the withdrawal is so very unpleasant to go through.

I suggest taking it periodically, never more than two weeks in a row. I only wish my doctor would have said that I would become physically addicted to it to the point that medical supervision would be required to stop taking it. Instead, they appeared to think I had developed "drug-seeking behavior" because of my anxious calls to the office when I was experiencing the symptoms.
Please be aware that St. John's wort with any SSRI or MAOI can be dangerous - sm
...unless your physician is aware that you're using it in addition to your Rx meds. (Other things, like 5-HTP, if I'm not mistaken) can have similar potentially dangerous side effects in combination with Rx antidepressants. Just sayin' ....
We have something in common
you and I have the same ansswer for number 13. My daughter will be 18, how old is yours? Isn't that a really special thing, I love that her birthday is near Christmas.
These are very common...

most are bought earlier in life, but you are not a bad person.  These are actually very interesting enhancements to an already "spicy" time.  We enjoy these, not every night, but on occasion.  They are a blast!

it is common --
when people take sleeping pills or narcotics, esp in combinations, they can wake up somewhat disoriented, forget what they've had, or believe they need more...and can result in accidental overdoses.
We have a lot in common when it comes to TV
Love Y&R and boy it is heating up right now. Really enjoy Ellen and am also a Foodie!!!! I never really watched Old Christine althought I think Julia Louis Dryfuss is incredibly talented. In the evenings I tend to watch reruns of Will and Grace, sex and the City, and then I do a 180 and also wathc The Andy Griffith Show. LOL!
it is common,
and a bother, but not usually a representing a problem (per my daughter vet).
It sounds like you sure do have a lot in common.

I believe everyone has a soul mate, in case that matters.  Best wishes and have fun, fun, fun!

Common questions that men ask

Questions that I've been commonly asked in the "dating world" since I'm single.

"Why arent you married"

"Do you want kids?"

"Why hasn't someone snatched you up"

"Do you date?"

or when the guy states...

"I'm a really nice guy"

"I'm a great catch"

"I've always been too busy to meet someone special until now"

Another thing..for some reason, I find divorced men who have kids living with their mother to be a turn off.
I feel that they made their families and now they are dating while the brunt of child care is now on their ex wife.
Maybe it's ignorant of me, I don't know. I really admire men who LIVE with their children or I'd prefer to date men who didnt have children at all.

I guess the purpose of this post is mostly a rant..anyone identify with any of this?

It is rude but common.
I guess you can assume the non-responders will not be coming but it is not uncommon for people that do not respond to show up anyway. If that happens, embarrass them loudly when they arrive! :) I found that including an email address on the invite helps, some people are just weird about calling, especially if it is to tell you that they can't make it.
welcome to my world...we have so much in common.

we have 14 kids in 6 houses on my street.  all under age 10.  the kids are all staying home all summer.  i did put my 2 in summer school but its only 4 hours in the morning.  we have been going through this for way too long. our rules are that my kids have to stay in my yard,,,they can have friends over, but they are not to get out of my sight.  sick of having them bullied, and then myself bullied when their parents find out i have yelled at their kids....lol, i had a post a few days ago about my trashy neighbors and they bad kids...the topic went on for a while.... long story short...we are selling our house and getting out of here.

Common sense
I remember in 9th grade, back in the 1970s, we had to give a speech for English in front of the whole class. Mine was on first aid. I demonstrated several pretend procedures on a volunteer. Then my volunteer was suffering from a snake bite, so I was demonstrating the technique that was in vogue at the time, where a knife was used to cute the puncture wounds and so the poison could be sucked out. I pulled out my demonstration knife and my teacher suddenly came on camera to examine my knife. Not being a dummy, I had made a cardboard knife, colored the handle part black, and covered the blade in tin foil. In the back side I had taped a fine-tipped red pen. It looked real on camera as long as you held it the right way. That teacher didn't like me, and he spent a good 30 seconds examining the weapon, during my taped presentation, before he was satisfied he could not get me in trouble for it.

No, I was no dummy.
These must be common dreams
I have the same ones with my teeth falling out and I'm always dreaming of being in school either forgetting my combination or not been able to find my classroom.

A common effect...sm
According to the Ohio State University Extension, it is because there was excessive preheating--longer than 5 mins.  I assume they mean while the tomatoes were being heated prior to being placed in the jar.  From experience, it does not affect the taste.  As long as the seal is tight, they should be fine.  Just shake the jar before opening.  Welcome to the wonderful world of canning!  Did you get tomato bits on the ceiling like I do every year?
Your husband and I have a lot in common sm
I have decorated my house on thriftstore and garage sale finds, ultra cheap sales or hand me downs. Far from being tacky or old, it is cozy, comfortable and inviting. People come in and don't want to leave.

I am a cheapskate and I admit! I love being the way I am. Now, of course, I have my exceptions, like owning $20K in sewing machines to practice my craft...

Sewing is NOT free and it is NOT cheaper, not all the time. The difference is that if I sew a coat I will have for 20 years (have one I have had for 16 right now) rather than 2 or 3 years. I can put better fabric into something that is important, or needs to wear a long time. I have a closet full of interfacing, zippers, rick rack, hem tape, thread, lace, ribbing, trims, ribbons, buckles and assorted junk. When I go to sew, I go in and pull out what I have that I can use and often I have everything I need. THAT saves some money if you don't mind storing 50 zippers for which you paid a dime each. I can also makes pants to fit my strange behind. There is a lot of joy in it for me too, or I probably would not mess with it.

Shoot, 20 years I ago I charged $22.50 an hour for my sewing skills. Your husband needs to wake up on that score. If I were your friend, I'd happily do his stuff...for my going rate of $30 an hour today! LOL he'd love that.
Use some common sense
Just as women have things they are uncomfortable with, weight, breasts, etc...men don't want an ugly uncircumsized penis, so get over it and do your boy a favor.  Not to mention all the health reasons.  Sheesh!  My son or husband hardly remember the little skin at the top of their penis being taken off.  Give me a break!
Its so weird, but this is common for these families
with BPD members - when a new person comes along who is actually healthy emotionally, they are always "blamed" for everything. I wish I had more time to share some of this fascinating data, but I have to work...and there are probably those who aren't interested.  When you experience these sick games for years, and then actually read the exact same stuff in medical/psychiatric journals, it is just mind blowing! You realize its NOT you and you're not imagining this stuff. Very enlightening. I wish you all the best.
This is very common for men after this type of surgery....sm
I would see this a lot when I worked for a group of cardiovascular surgeons. Make an appointment for your husband & yourself with his surgeon so that they can first off assure him that this is normal. Some hospitals have post-CABG support groups and if your hospital has this, go as that will help him. Men especially have a hard time post-CABG because the male ego is "I can do anything and won't get sick" and it crushes their ego to have their heart become diseased. Continue to try to get him involved in things without nagging. The doctor may also place him on an antidepressant short-term if they feel it is indicated. Good luck!
Of course they're common! Now just show him how to use it so he can get
s
I think that's probably a common and rational fear (sm)
I can't stand it and I imagine most people, especially females, but also males, don't like it either.
I heard the name Hogg is quite common in the
xxx
The common date here in Oz is 1 December,
and then everything down on 6 January. I can't imagine not having a tree until Christmas Eve.
Most common sense folks on here would know that
some get all riled up when you start talking about moochers! Now, this lady is a plain out and out moocher. She now has 14 mooching babies, of course, through no fault of their own but their mother's greedy selfish ignorance.

I tried to have a rational discussion about moochers on welfare ther other day and for the life of me couldn't get one poster to get her mind wrapped around the fact that there are truly JUST moochers out there, who do not work, do not contribute to societ; they just take, take, take, and do nothing productive. She thought I knew nothing and that welfare was ONLY for those TRULY in need. This is exactly what I was talking about. I see it every day in my community, the baby making factories who refuse to work, sit on their butts, and have more babies, all paid for by the taxpayer. This is a perfect example.....same situation only she had 8 at one time instead of one by one until she finally got to 14.

Maybe the poster will get a picture of what moochers I was talking about and stop acting as if she were being targeted.

Since this lady is on disability, all her 14 children will also receive a monthly disability check. Now, multiply that times ALL the illegal babies here with all their illegal parents also getting assistance and you wonder why this country is going down the tubes and why California is going belly up?

Quite common terms in the South. We
call everyone something like that, whether we know them or not.
Seizures are fairly common in Springers.
But what is the age of onset? Usually if age of onset is after 5 years, it is something other than epilepsy. But in a very young dog, it probably is epilepsy. A friend of mine has a Australian shepherd (named Major) that was having multiple grand mal seizures a day. Medicine helped, but what made a big difference for her was changing the dog's food to Canidae. Of course it's not in place of medication, but the dog went from multiple seizures a day before medication to 1 seizure a week with medication (may have had to add a second med, not sure), but then changing to Canidae improved him to 1 seizure in 6 months! She also has a Pembroke corgi (named Minor) who alerts them to each seizure before it hits their Australian shepherd.

She named her dogs Major and Minor - what a nut. :oD

It is very common in the south to keep your maiden name as your middle name. But, I sm
was talking about not taking your husband's name at all.
excellent common sense post!
So true! Great post!
