I used mayonaise on my hair that is almost waist length... I thought I was going to go insane until I got rid of them!!! Put at least 1/2 quart on your hair, work in and place a plastic bag over your head for at least 3 hours.... Honestly, all the OTC stuff did nothing... this truly was the fix.

Has anyone ever used Vasoline to get rid of lice? If so, sm - how do you get it out?

Try putting mayo on it (not kidding), and then wash it out. It works great for dry hair. Also, I've found that you are better off going to a salon than using home products for coloring; ask for one that doesn't dry your hair made from plant extracts; Aveda makes a good one, and I've had problems with dry hair in the past, but not now.
