i never saw your post until today. have courage though, so you don't have regrets. my husband did something similar to me -- tried to intimidate me (images of death threats) into not going to see my family across country. I went anyway. Nothing happened. I think sometimes men are so afraid of losing us they try to keep a tight grip. 25+ yr later it is a good marriage, but we've been through a lot.
