My SIL bought one, used it a couple of times and sm
now it is a useless gadget sitting in the spare bedroom. I agree that an exercise ball would be a better choice. I really like mine and actually USE it!
I've seen him a couple times but although

his tricks are great, I just can't stand to watch him, even though I have tried. There's something about him that bugs me but I can't put my finger on it.

Still, all in all, I think he is very good. Don't know how he does it.

I've done it too a couple of times.
I moved from OH to FL when I was 19. I wanted to get away from the snow! I had the best time and wouldn't trade the experience for the world.

I lived in Atlanta for 5 years, moved from there 5 years ago. The area was way too congested for my liking. Just to go to the grocery store was bumper to bumper traffic. As a matter of fact, there was traffic any time of the day or night. Even when you leave Atlanta and go 1 hour in any direction, you are STILL in traffic! It was ridiculous.

The other thing about Atlanta that we did not like is that because of the rapid growth, we had trouble hiring anybody to do anything. We would get estimates for work on our house. They would want the money up front and then say "we'll be here when we get here and don't bug us until then". It was awful. We ended up always hiring illegals (which there is also an abundance of in Atlanta and surrounding area) who always did a good job and always showed up! It even took 6 weeks to get a phone line put in.

I could rant and rave for a long time about Atlanta but you get the picture. I really cannot recommend it.

On the other hand, I am feeling a little jealous of your freedom. Do it while you can! Good luck.
I'm not a teen, far from it but I get SVT a couple of times a year sm
I usually get it in the middle of the night and it usually lasts about 4 hours. I am prescribed 40 mg of verapamil, which I take 1 at the onset and then 1 every hour until it eases up. I usually end up taking about 4 or 5. That works for me, but then I'm usually wiped out for a few hours afterwards.

My first experience where this lasted more than a few minutes, I went to the ER and they gave me 6 mg of adenosine which converted me. They were able to see the SVT on my EKG, so the cardiologist was able to correctly treat me. They have offered me other treatment options, such as electrophysiology ablation, but since I only get it a couple of times a year, I'm not at the point where I want it treated surgically.

Good luck.
I love it too. We go a couple of times a month..

spend about 500 bucks each time. Sometimes we come home with money, sometimes not, that's why they call it gambling. DH has won 2 jackpots this year on a penny machine, first time he put in 40 bucks, was betting 50 cents at a time and hit for 1200 bucks; the second time same thing, hit for 1500 bucks. I usually do pretty well, only play penny machines and have won as much as 800 bucks on one spin. We never spend more than 500 each. It's our vice and we enjoy it. We visit my family every year in Philly and for the 2 weeks we are there we usually gamble at least half the time. We save our money, take a couple of thousand with us for that purpose only and if we win great, if not, that's okay too.

'Round here
Our 1st cousin's kid a 2nd cousin, so that cousin's kid would be 3rd, and so on and so on...at least that's how we do it!
Walking 'round in Women's Underwear lol
Not really my favorite but the funniest...lol
How 'bout this:
Yogurt smoothies.

Make up some cool name they'd like, "radical frosties", "shivering shakes", or something only they would appreciate, etc.

Get non-fat, non-sweetened plain old yogurt. Add fruit like strawberries, bananas, blueberries, etc. Sweeten it if need be with fruit juice, molasses, honey, brown sugar or heaven forbid, regular white sugar. A few teaspoons of sugar will not cause their teeth to fall out, nor will they get diabetes. Everything in moderation. Pay attention to the color of what you add - no kid wants to drink a beige glass of something.

Make it up ahead of time and stick in the freezer for 10 minutes or so to get it frosty. Blend it again before serving and put it in fun glasses with colorful straws, straws with umbrellas, goofy party decorations, action figures, stickers, etc. Ever see those cool huge martini-style glasses in neon colors at Wal-Mart?

Give it to them for desert! They won't even know what hit 'em!

Don't sweat it. Don't ask them what they want, just make nutritious healthy meals. If they are hungry enough, they will eat what you make. If they don't, they can get what they want themselves, but make sure there are no Twinkies, cookies, etc. as an alternative! I don't know of any kid that starved because they didn't like what was for dinner.
How 'bout one of these!

This is in such bad taste, but with the recent teacher & teddybear thing, I couldn't resist poking fun at this "religion of peace."

How 'bout this quote:
Gentlemen, please, rest your sphincters.
'Bout time, huh!?
.
How 'bout Katrina? Love that name.

Even though there was a devastating hurricane by that name, I still love it and always wanted a granddaughter. Have all sons and they all had sons.  Thought I would have a chance this time as my 35 yo son and wife are pregnant. But no, ultrasound shows another boy on the way.

At least the family name will continue.

Wow, a couple of people need to take a couple of happy pills!

Was that just 1 block
or ??? and power walking is??
Oh, please! End times! People have been saying that since the beginning times!
It's just sensationalism. It seems that journalism has gone to a warm place in a handbasket. I briefly majored in journalism back in 1980, and what passes for journalism now would have flunked any of us right our of an entry-level course! It's all sensational reporting, because networks think that brings in the viewers, and thus drives up the advertising price that they can charge during broadcasts.
Another of my pet peeves in "journalism" is the phrase "Unconfirmed sources say . . . " Yeah. Right. Unconfirmed sources is just another way of saying, "Rumor has it . . . "
Next time there is breaking news, listen for it. It's said over and over again, because the networks and stations want to get the news out first. I don't know what happened to fact-checking and pursuit of the truth in journalism, but it's all about getting info out fast, and keeping the public tuned in with the most sensational reports that they can put out there.
Back in the days of the Roman Empire, people were treating each other pretty badly and in unbelievable ways, too. Crucifixion comes to mind. So, I don't really think modern news reports are pointing to end times any more than at any other time in recorded history.

Older here, going around block again
You, I think, have the ability to get him checked into the hospital for an examination psychiatrically for 72 hours even if he does not want to go. This is very abnormal behavior- you are right in there being something wrong. It is not just with aging- I am in mid 60s and although forgetful sometimes, say with where I put the keys or putting things around the house, the cutting of one's hair such as your husband is doing is 1 prime example of behavioral problems such as in mental disorders and to not even know you are doing, well if I were you I definitely would have him committed for the time you can and as his wife, you can. Check out a mental facility and find out. You or he both could be in danger of bodily harm- a person who is unaware as he is (such as not knowing he is multilating himself with the hair cutting) could be very dangerous. I hope you will seek help and keep us advised.
Is there a way to block a number...sm
from calling your house if that caller is calling from a cell phone.  My mom has tried to block my dad from calling her house and it says this number cannot be blocked.  I was also gonna block his # from my phone as well.  I know it sounds terrible but my husband just came home today from working out of town and we were trying to watch TV and spend time together.  My dad wouldn't quit calling.  I mean we are talking every 10 minutes.  I answered it about 4 times thinking he would quit calling if I talked to him.  No he would just keep calling.  And I am not exaggerating -- it was every 10-15 minutes.  It will make you want to throw the phone out the window.  All he says when I answer is I'm bored.  I am like ok and why don't you watch TV or call a friend or something.  He will literally keep calling and say I am just so bored.  I can't take this.  Why won't your mama take me back?  Blah Blah Bhlah.  My mom said a call from a cell phone can't be blocked.  There has to be something I can do.  I was gonna block my house # and if he keeps calling my cell I can just turn it off.  Does anyone know a way to block a cell phone call?
I use H and R block on line

About 10 minutes away for me....I was a block away last night.
xx
I used star77 to block anonymous
callers but it doesn't work for those who put the phone number on caller ID. It has really gotten bad in the last few weeks. I work nights and they start at 9 am and go on all day. I'm on the no call list but really would like to block all toll free numbers. Any one know how to do that? I have digital phone through Time Warner.
Way to block phone number?
I just answered the phone and same ole, same ole company calling that I do not wish to talk with. If no return phone number comes in on my ID, is there some way after the fact of blocking this number out?
A house on the next block is on fire. Winds are
about 20 mph and I lost track of the number of firetrucks have responded.  Just last night our community had a benefit concert for another family that lost their house to fire just before Thanksgiving.   Hopefully everyone is safe and the fire doesn't spread.
Remember the New Kids On The Block when they were huge?? When they came to sm
Hawaii where I used to live, I won a radio contest from a drawing. The New Kids actually came to the radio station and drew one winner for the grand prize. There were thousands of entries. Donnie, one of the band members, drew a name after the drum roll, live on the air, and he called my name! I almost fainted! haha I always said I was their biggest fan. So, I got the works...Limo ride, dinner with the band, their family members, radio and t.v. cameras (I was actually interviewed for a Japanese t.v. station through an interpreter). I felt like a star myself....haha....Anyways, I sat next to Joe McIntyre (I heard he was on Dancing With The Stars recently) and I flirted with him the whole time. He was my favorite anyway (back in the day, if you were a fan, you always had a favorite and I was in love with him). I remember he had a wicked Boston accent and I loved it! I am part Hawaiian and he asked me a million questions and I asked him questions too. There was definitely an attraction! I was 16 going on 17, I think. We were the exact same age. He was such a gentleman. I took about a 100 pictures...

After we ate I was escorted to the concert where I had front-row seats, backstage passes, etc.

It was a huge moment in my life for me at that time. I didn't want the night to end. I wanted to be invited up to Joe's room. I swear, I think he really wanted to hang out and get to know me after the show, but he had boydguards and family around and was so busy...at least that is what I wanted to believe...Hey, let a young gal pretend that she almost dated a superstar!!
Me too - more of a road block really, flat and wide. :) Also known as ,
Apple A$$ :)

An unfortunate trait inherited from my mother's side of the family.
Block his phone number and don't answer- sm
the door. Also get a restraining order if you have too. Call a doctor or hospital and find out what is necessary in terms of committment, stop threatening him and do it if you are legally able to. If you cannot then give him some phone numbers of services that can help him tell him he has to help himself. No wonder your mom divorced him, sounds like a 2-year-old who wants everything his way and takes utterly no responsibility for himself.

:
My mom had a couple of

brothers who wet the bed until they were about 13!  There was no abuse and it was a model household.  Bedwetting is very common in boys.  My brother also wet the bed until he was about 7 or 8.  He quit when he got a brand new bed.  My step-dad (ignoramus!) thought that proved he was being lazy, but this is a phenomenon that happens a lot, that a new bed stops the bedwetting.  Michael Landon even made a movie about it.

My daughter wet the bed until she was about 4.  (My two boys never did.) The solution for her was simply waking her up at about 12:30 every night and walking her to the bathroom.  After about 3 or 4 days (I am not exaggerating) she never wet the bed again.  That is all it took to train her body to wake up when her bladder was full.  I'm not saying that it would necessarily work for this child, but I am saying that his mother, winner that she is, probably never thought about how she could help him solve this problem.  It might be easier than you think.

Other couple....
If other couple are that into sex that they like hanging pics around and acting out in front of people, maybe they are using him for a third person (if you get my drift...) Lots of people in that lifestyle that you would never know about.
I have a couple (sm)
Inis, which is a perfume from Ireland that smells like the sea, and Amazing Grace by Philosophy. I am looking for a new scent, though, as I have been wearing these for a while. Am interested in Dune by Dior and the lily of the valley perfume....hmmmm
A couple from me...
My nephew (now 27 years old) used to day "pink-honk" for ping pong and "cowadoctor" for helicopter.

I also hate to hear "ax" for ask.
here's a couple
feminine products and birth control. they are the dumbest commercials and do they really need to advertise them anyway?

...English (the 6-hour) and Psychology. Basically, what you save is the tuition, not the study. You'll see people on various forums saying they studied for 23 seconds and passed, but don't believe it.

Study guides vary in quality, so I can't really advise you on that except to check reviews on Amazon and places like that, and also make sure that it's one that covers the current exam because CLEP does change them.

The exams themselves aren't "tricky", but they do require you to know the subject.
Right away all 3 times...

luckily everything went well all 3 times.  My best friend wasn't so lucky and miscarried soon after telling people.

We have been there many times..
and we loved Fort Wilderness camping resort the best. It is a bit pricey but you can barbecue outside or cook (full kitchen) inside the cabin so you do save money there. There is a lot to do right there in the camping resort, fishing, boat and bike rentals, pools, restaurants, an arcade for the kids, snack bar, etc., so just a wonderful family experience. There are also lower *value* priced resorts right in Disney also. But I would definitely suggest staying in a Disney resort; everything is right there; transportation to the parks, etc.

And you can't go to Disney and not go to the Magic Kingdom! Universal and MGM are nice but don't compare, IMO. And Epcot probably is more for older kids/adults.

The kids will love the water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.

Anyway, here is a good website if you don't already have it.

Most of all, HAVE FUN!!!
behind the times
Well, if you're behind the times so am I. My daughter has been taught since she was a baby that if someone takes the time and effort to give you a gift, the least you can do is take the time and effort to send a written thank you. Especially if something is mailed and you aren't able to thank them in person. I have a cousin who is the perfect example. When my husband died 2 years ago, I never got so much as a sympathy card. OK, fine, some people just don't know what to say in that situation--uncomfortable with death or whatever. This year we both have daughters graduate from high school. I was sent an announcement and party invitation which was out of town so couldn't go. But I sent a card and money the same day I sent MY daughter's announcement and invite. Did I ever get a thank you, written or verbal? Nope. Did they send my daughter a card? Nope. My mom went to their grad party and asked if they'd received my card (hoping to shame them) and they just said, "oh yeah, it was just so nice of her." Absolutely no qualms about taking without any gratitude and never reciprocating. I'd sent money because I didn't want to punish the daughter for her parents lack of social skills, but it appears that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I can't wait to get a wedding or birth announcement from this girl. Whether she knows it or not, she's received her last gift from me.
end times sm
I agree 200% with you and I am ready to go.  All have the choice to believe or not.  Yes is been talked about since the beginning of time, but our Bible tells us exactly what the signs are.  Besides, even IF it were not true, don't you agree the Christian life is a better way to live than anything else?  I believe its true and I don't believe we have much longer here.  I am waiting and watching!
How many times are you going

to mention that his father never contributed any money, not a penny?  Since you keep repeating it, it must be very significant in your mind.  His father never contributed a penny to raising him.  Now there is a rift between you and your son because of money.  Anybody else out there think these two points are more connected than they may appear to be on the surface?

How many times does this have
First, you have to find out if you qualify. Then, look online on the IRS website to find the schedule according to your SS#.

Of course, if you didn't use direct deposit for your taxes to begin with, they will send you out a check and those won't be sent out until later.

It is not a crock - we got ours on time, according to the schedule!

DD has had this 3 times sm
and each time a different diagnosis. First thought to be a swollen lymph node (from cat scratch) and put on antibiotics. Second times many months later was thought to be a cyst and put on antibiotics. A year later again, was told it was MRSA and put on antibiotics. Each time it went away and since the last time in Feb. hasn't not returned. Still don't know for sure exactly what it was but antibiotics did the trick every time.
LOL!!! One of the few times I actually
LOL'd when I typed those letters . . . heavily!
Times gone by......... sm
I remember when I was a child the "dime store" in our town. It had everything from pencils to yard goods to toys to old medicinal remedies. They had a wonderful candy counter where you bought your candy by weight. You made your selection from the glass-fronted counter that was juuuuust above eye level for a small child. The clerk would scoop out the desired amount of candy with an old brass candy scoop and weigh it on an old balance scale. Then she would put the candy in a little white paper sack. There were all kinds, jelly beans, butterscotch that melted in your mouth, peppermint that really cleared the sinuses, and wonderful little maple goodies to name but a few. It tasted so much better than candy tastes these days. And yes, they had Evening in Paris and Old Spice and hankies for both mom and dad. I even held my very first job there in high school where I helped take inventory every year right after Christmas. We had to count each and every item (well, probably not the jelly beans) by hand. I remember counting boxes and boxes of pens and pencils and rulers. I miss that store as it closed down many years ago when the big discount houses started opening up in the nearby "big" town.
At times she can be
hot and other times a mess. I remember her being on Ellen recently and the Pussycat Dolls (I think it was them) were also on there. This was also when Ellen had the dunk tank and if I am not mistaken the person that got in the dunk tank that day was in a great bikini. At the end of the segment wtih Pam she had to take off her coat and show she was in a bikini as well. She admits that she loves the attention. This woman is famous for being...well famous.

I have read that she is really a good mother. Everyone take that one with a grain of salt, go ahead, wrap it around a margaritia if you like!
I don't know how many times I have said to DH
when I see the way someone is dressed or how ridiculous their hair looks "That poor girl just doesn't have any friends." I remember in high school there was a very pretty girl that had several friends, but her make-up line was unreal. I could not believe her friends never said a word to her about it.

All my friends and I had little sayings like "LOT" for lipstick on teeth or "The sky is blue" if you needed to wipe your nose. What is so wrong with graciously and politely telling someone you care about the truth?
Yes! Several times and it needs it sm
really bad now. Hubby out of town on business and will be home tomorrow. First thing he said when I talked tohim tonight was he dreaded mowing the lawn when he gets home! It has been raining cats and dogs making it grow even more!
I had 2 different times.
What I mean, is I had my 2 oldest when I was 24 & 26 (they are 23 months apart); I had my younger 2 when I was 33 & 35 (they are 20 months apart). There are 10 years between my oldest and my youngest. I guess I had the empty nest syndrome after sending the younger of my oldest 2 off to school! :) haha
Have seen that one several times and
if anything, thought he was whiter than usual but believed it was Jackson.
A couple of thoughts.....sm
The pain could be from either the swelling, peripheral neuropathy or a blood clot.  You should see a doctor right away as if you have a clot it could break off and cause a stroke or heart attack.
