and he has a red "moustache"!! I told him to use a straw but he forgot and so did I until it was too late. grrrr. I thought about alcohol but i'm not sure it's safe to use it around the mouth harea. any ideas?!

Resolve will probably get rid of the stain -sm
it took out permanent black marker when my daughter went crazy with it on the carpet....still have no clue why it worked but it got it all out, though I did do it within 5 minutes of her drawing all over the carpet. As for the hard fibers, as mentioned below they are melted and no hope for them. You will need to cut/shave them possibly though will have an indent/ring from that. If you have any spare carpet (may from a closet) you could have a professional cut it out and paste in a new piece. Good luck!
I agree, these do not come off, and sort of stain your lips, lol
But if you reapply the gloss often it looks nice.
You mean "Upchucked" coffee...i have a friend who used their espresso to stain a table
and it came out pretty good. Now Peet's - THAT'S REAL COFFEE!!
