How about a chili and potato stew? I'm from New Mexico where green chili is readily available. Brown the beef, then add a couple of cans of chicken broth, cubed potatoes, coarsely chopped onions, a little bit of garlic and a bunch of mild green chili. Simmer until the potatoes are tender and salt to taste. You can leave it brothy like that or I sometimes add corn starch and simmer a little bit more to thicken it.
Or how about stuffed peppers? Or spaghetti pie aka baked spaghetti. Cook the spaghetti like normal, then add sour cream and a some butter to coat the noodles. Put it in a baking dish, cover with the meat sauce and put some mozzarella on the top. Bake until the cheese is golden and bubbly. Yummy!

hamburger
One of my kids said hangawanga and another one of them said hambergerger.
Not that easy for little ones to say!
Just tried your hamburger BBQ recipe...sm
and it was GREAT!
I usually use Manwich or a package seasoning mix because I've never found a homemade recipe that we liked very well, but tried yours tonight and it was wonderful!!... even without the green peppers, since I didn't have any.
Thanks!
Hamburger Stroganoff?
Hamburger Stroganoff is good for a change. I used to have a recipe, but can just use a regular stroganoff recipe or look on web site. I used to have one, used Worchestershire sauce, and it was gooood. Plus you can serve it with rice instead of noodles.
Anyone have a SIMPLE recipe for hamburger BBQ. nm
:
Hamburger soup and sausage soup
Pretend you're making vegetable soup. Throw in whatever you want for veggies (corn, green beans, carrots, onions, potatoes), a can of tomatoes or tomato juice. Add 1 pound of browned, drained hamburger and beef broth in place of water.
For the sausage soup, brown a pound of sliced SMOKED sausage, add some water and scrap the bottom of the pan. Add your veggies and chicken or vegetable broth (the harder it's smoked, the better).
I usually use frozen mixed veggies and just add a few potatoes if I feel like it or if I'm in a hurry and simmer for 30 minutes.
I make large batches and freeze all but enough for a meal. You can season with your favorite seasons. I usually use garlic and pepper and a bit of cumin to make them smokier.
