good grief! If living in a place sm

In Reply to: Then stay with the renters you have there - Me
with an HOA means living next to snooty people like you, I would rather live next to the renters! You act like a person can just up and sell their house like you would sell a car.
Think I will stay where normal people are and not the hoity-toity snot faces like yourself!

good grief.
By the way, meant floor above.
I'm not "troubled" or a psychopath. Are you trying to say that if you get stalked by a psycho ex, then there must be something wrong with you? I think not.
Oh good grief.
Good grief...
On Regis and Kelly they showed a picture of her from a newspaper and she had an alcohol ankle bracelet on.
Good Grief!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good grief, they deserve a safe sm
plce to live! They are not going to remember the big house, etc when they are grown. They WILL remember the abuse you subjected them to and did not get out.
Good grief. Do parents not teach their
kids ANYTHING anymore?
Good grief, I thought it was funny...nm

good grief!!! I have to go to the store!!! Thanks for the remind!!!
I am trying to not buy so much because I am taking my first vacation in 4 years next Friday, but I think I will have to break down and get groceries!!! GEEZ!!! I want pizza.... YUMMMM
Good grief, we didn't even go to either of my niece's graduations
and they both live here in our town. We love them both dearly and are very close to them but they both said it didn't bother them. They go to different high schools and there is limited seating at one of them. Each graduate only gets 7 tickets and after parents, grandparents, and siblings we really couldn't go. We did go their grad parties and they were more excited about what was in their card anyway. LOL Your husband needs to let his sister know that he plans to have a vacation with his entire family, so it is either go see them a week later, or go wherever you choose.
Good grief - I hope not!!! Mine was not pretty! nm
..
Good grief, lost of people get married and don't have children nm
Z
You are living together and so you've got a pretty good idea
of what life will be like if you are married. It'll be the same. He won't change and 10 years is far too long to wait on him to grow up, unless you started dating him when he was 12.
Move on, learn to be independent, and maybe keep that friendship alive with the other interested man. I was "just friends" with my husband for 3 years. Then it became more serious and we found that we loved each other and have been married for 25 years.
Move on. There are way better men out there.
Anyone know of a good place
to go on the web when lonely and/or bored (of course I come here, but we all need a variety). I sometimes surf single sites and read profiles (both sexes just for fun), but I am wondering if you know of something fun to do. ?
Me too. I think they were established in the first place for good reason.

Good Advice (new to board, so hope this is the right place)
Read this and make a copy for your files in case you need to refer to it someday.
A corporate attorney sent the following out to the employees in his company. Maybe we should all take some of his advice!
1. Do not sign the back of your credit cards. Instead, put "PHOTO ID REQUIRED".
2. When you are writing checks to pay on your credit card accounts, DO NOT put the complete account number on the "For" line. Instead, just put the last four numbers. The credit card company knows the rest of the number, and anyone who might be handling your check as it passes through all the check processing channels won't have access to it.
3. Put your work phone # on your checks instead of your home phone. If you have a PO Box use that instead of your home address. If you do not have a PO Box, use your work address. Never have your SS# printed on your checks (DUH!). You can add it if it is necessary but, if you have it printed, anyone can get it.
4. Place the contents of your wallet on a photocopy machine. Do both sides of each license, credit card, etc. You will know what you had in your wallet and all of the account numbers and phone numbers to call and cancel. Keep the photocopy in a safe place. I also carry a photocopy of my passport when I travel either here or abroad. We've all heard horror stories about fraud that's committed on us in stealing a name, address, Social Security number, credit cards, etc..
Unfortunately, I, an attorney, have firsthand knowledge because my wallet was stolen last month. Within a week, the thieves ordered an expensive monthly cell phone package, applied for a VISA credit card, had a credit line approved to buy a Gateway computer, received a PIN number from DMV to change my driving record information online, and more. But here's some critical information to limit the damage in case this happens to you or someone you know.
5. We have been told we should cancel our credit cards immediately. But the key is having the toll-free numbers and your card numbers handy so you know whom to call. Keep those where you can find them.
6. File a police report immediately in the jurisdiction where your credit cards, etc. were stolen. This proves to credit providers you were diligent, and this is a first step toward an investigation (if there ever is one). But here's what is perhaps most important of all (I never even thought to do this.).
7. Call the 3 national credit reporting organizations immediately to place a fraud alert on your name and also call the Social Security fraud line number. I had never heard of doing that until advised by a bank that called to tell me an application for credit was made over the Internet in my name. The alert means any company that checks your credit knows your information was stolen, and they have to contact you by phone to authorize new credit. By the time I was advised to do this, almost two weeks after the theft, all the damage had been done. There are records of all the credit checks initiated by the thieves' purchases, none of which I knew about before placing the alert. Since then, no additional damage has been done, and the thieves threw my wallet away this weekend (someone turned it in). It seems to have stopped them dead in their tracks.
Now, here are the numbers you always need to contact about your wallet, etc., has been stolen: 1.) Equifax: 1-800-525-6285
2.) Experian (formerly TRW): 1-888-397-3742
3.) Trans Union : 1-800-680-7289
4.) Social Security Administration (fraud line): 1-800-269-0271
We pass along jokes on the Internet; we pass along just about everything.
If you are willing to pass this information along, it could really help someone.
International Drive is a good place to hang your hat
and close by the park. Lots offer free rides to the park but I just drove when staying there. Lots of buffets there for the family and easy on the pocketbook. Unlike the post above where she was saying the kids needed rest-- don't know so much about that. When I took my family we would start out at the earliest, getting some breakfast and being at the part as soon as opening. I was in my 50s and I spent all day long at the park and into the night. My family never ran out of steam. We went for a full solid week like that, got the hopper passes and would hit at least 2 parks in a day plus the water parks. My sleep of a night was enough for me for the entire next day. We ate all meals out, sometimes in the park for lunch, breakfast the other members loved the buffets and dinner was anywhere they wanted. I had no budget but do know you spend more inside the park than out, naturally. My hubby and I still have tickets to return and we might go back this year. I bought a forever pass a few years back- think we had a total of 4-5x?? to return w/o the cost of getting back in. I love Mickey.
Go trafficland.com, click on the US, and then find your state. Good place

Good place to shop is Salvation Army Superstore. sm
Don't dump on me please. The store gets extra clothes from big department stores. It's better if you're a small size, but they have stuff for larger sizes too.
I got INC Incorporated embroidered tunic and Eileen Fisher sweater for $10 each, plus 2 pairs of "work" pants at $4 each.
I am sorry for your grief.
I lose my Belgian when he was only 6 to sand colic, had to have him put to sleep. That was over 15 years ago and I still miss him.
I have 3 old horses that are rescues. I am sure they would go to slaughter. But they are still rideable and very good with children. I love them so much. They are like big puppies and follow me all around their pasture.
Keep saving one at a time!
I feel for your grief!
This really helped me find my bearings in watching my dad reject my mom for someone like the person you are describing. No it doesn't make sense... She had him totally bewitched. Mom had be so loving and faithful... It blows my mind how he could trade what he had for something so cheap.
It matters not if cherished friends
On whom I leaned in vain,
Have wounded me in word or deed,
And left me with great pain.
What matters is, can I forgive,
Again and yet again?
Its not have they been true, but Lord,
Have I been true to them?
Twill matter not when evening comes how rough the road I've trod,
If only I have walked with Him,
And led some soul to God.
For when I wake to be like Him
Who saved me by His grace,
Earth's pain will vanish when I catch
One glimpse of His dear face.

It shook my faith to watch my preacher dad do something so awful. But but the storms make the trees roots grow deeper. I can't say I like storms, but I'm thankful to find God faithful when nothing else seems secure. Look to HIM! He CARES!!! And above all, FORGIVE your dad. Unforgivness is like poison, as deadly to the soul as cancer to the body. It simply is not worth it to hold a grudge. God will deal with the rewards of the wicked, and I think we can feel compassion when we reallize what that means. How sad!
Maybe during this time of grief, s/m
John is not remembering things correctly. That would be quite understandable. If you explained everything to your aunt and she is on your side about what was said in the past, then so be it. I would let that drop right now.
Even with Joan dying, your mom does not need to be moved right away. I feel that John should pay the cost for moving her as well. You GAVE them the deeds to the plots, they should be grateful.
I would go to the viewing. But if he does start anything, do not argue, do not defend, walk away. No matter what you say will be wrong. He needs to get through his grief first. Being that you suffer from panic attacks, you should just limit your time there. My DH suffers from them as well, but sometimes there are things that we just have to do.
Best of luck to you.
Has anyone ever used online resoureces to help with grief? sm
I am having a lot of issues regarding the passing of my mom. It will be a year this fall and it still seems like it was just yesterday. She was not only my mom, but my best friend. I feel like it was a double whammy. She passed suddenly, so there was no preparing...not that you really can prepare. Anyway, I have had people tell me it is time to move on and I should snap out of it. I keep it together for my kids and try to make their days fun and enjoyable, but all I do is think about my mom and when alone I cry for her and the pain I feel. I would like to look for some type of help regarding greif and dealing with it. Has anyone ever used online help to deal with greif? Thanks.
Grief counseling before the fact SM
I am under a lot of stress with an elderly mother who has a grim prognosis. She is 90 years of age and has CHF with another recent hospitalization last week. She is home now, but her doctor called me the day of her discharge and gave me a complete detailed summary of her condition and prognosis. I have been more anxious since the discussion with him, although he is to be commended for his frankness and the sensitive way he handled the situation.
I know counseling is beneficial after we lose someone close to us, but I feel I need some help now just dealing with this now. The only way I can explain how I feel is to say I feel like I am carrying a bomb and not able to put it down. I know what will happen and still not able to prevent the inevitable. The nurse told me last week at the hospital that the normal BNP level is not to be above 50. My mother's BNP this last time was over 4600. The doctor told me the same value on the telephone and told me it almost blew his socks off, in his words exactly. They removed 5 1/2 liters of fluid this admission. She also has chronic renal failure. I am blessed to have her this long, but it makes it no easier to let go. I have such a heaviness in my heart. Thank you for listening.
Is there a grief support group in your town?
xx
Is he still living?
I heard leopards don’t change their spots.
We have been living in ...
the me me me society where everything is now now now. DH and me cut up credit cards and paid off debt for the last 3-4 years instead of remodeling the house, buying new clothes/cars/toys.
I live in a $60,000 house that many people turned their nose up at because it wasn't an McMansion. Well we are about two years from paying it off without any help from anyone and those that turned their nose up at us are in foreclosure right now.
I had a feeling the stock market was going to crater - just didn't know how bad. I'm doing everything I can to keep my job and make the most of it. Now is not the time to go job-hopping.
Time for folks to live within their means and businesses/corporations need to realize that slow and steady growth isn't bad - its better then the alternative of not even being in business.
Finally I think we need to STOP rescuing this fat cats that make these stupid decisions that bankrupt these companies and put 1000's out of work. Make them return their golden parachutes and live like the common man. Same goes for salaries for actors/actresses and sports figures.
Yes, shows are something we could do, living
where we do. It's not far to go, maybe 12 miles across town.
And thank you very much. One thing we don't want to do is get Sasha's nose out of joint, LOL.
Your living your dream like never before?
?? That doesn't make sense.
funerals are for the living
nothing done to the body is going to affect whether she 'rests in peace'. Let the mother bury HER dead where SHE wants. She is the legal next of kin.
p.s. her character isn't like too bad if she was a cop so long. don't believe everything the way the media slants it.
You might consider doing the living room
(or whatever the fanciest room is) in same color but with a special border tile worked in to set that room off.
Just a thought.
Living in the country is so...
enjoyable. We have two neighbors and that is about it. One neighbor is across the pond from us and the other neighbor lives back behind a wooded area and we can't hardly see their place unless it is in the winter. I don't think I'd like living right next door to someone else.
Living arrangements
I don't have personal experience, just an opinion. I think you should remain in the community with the best school for her. If you are in an apt. now in that school district, stay. Don't go the mobile home root. Then if you can in a few years, get a condo or townhome in the same area. That way the friends she makes at school now will stay with her as she grows up and she will have continuity and stability. I would cross mobile homes off my list. JMO.
Living in la-la land
I cannot believe in this time that anyone would leave their door open for anyone to enter. It does not seem like you either hear/read the news or know about things that go on around your little world. Why invite danger by opening your door to the world? In my town some children molested by strangers coming into their rooms in the middle of the night- oh by the way, not only their doors left open but some windows not locked of a night. I read a post on here where a man showed up in one persons home through their garage door. My home is just as secure as I can get it. I love and cherish my life, my hubby's and my pets as well. What is someone other than someone you know comes in 1 day- then what? Good luck with a dangerous situation.
Sexy men who are still living !
Patrick Dempsey, Dennis Haysbert, Keifer Sutherland, Thorsten Kaye, Ryan Reynolds, Sam Elliott, Tom Selleck, Aidan Turner. Thorsten Kaye is the sexiest! Sam Elliott is second. Dennis Haysbert is third except Patrick Dempsey is tied for third with him! So many men! So little time.
After 6 months of looking and living
like a pauper I am now pretty happy in the new job I have. I am also behind on every bill in the house! Has anyone used a credit counseling service to help them with debt and paying off everything to get their credit back on track? I want to use a legitimate company and not worsen my situation more than it is. Thanks everyone.
what's wrong with living
with a 29-year-old? I was married with two kids, owned a house, etc. when I was 29. It is not like he is going to live with a 19 or 21-year-old who might not be that mature or responsible.
Not if they are legally living here or if
they have become citizens. That is why Carly could not compete 2 years ago when she made the top 24. Her paperwork had not yet gone through.
Anyone out there living in Maine? SM
An old boyfriend, who is now a minister lives in Bath, Maine. Can you tell me where it is located and something about it? I would appreciate it. I was thinking of maybe visiting his church.
what i think is there are too many people living
what is good to one person, may not be to another but a free ride may be a lot of fun to some.
i don't sit and worry about it.... i just think it is incredibly sad the way i've seen it work so well for someone who doesn't even deserve it and works so slow for someone who does.
We are living in a sad world.
//
how ridiculous! I said living
thing with a SOUL. Humans have souls. Oh i love my animals dearly, but they are not people, and i understand the difference. No, it cannot be twisted 1000 different ways, not accurately anyway. Human babies are innocents in God's eyes. But i doubt if you are a believer, thus the difference in understanding.

My MIL is in an assisted living...
I think it depends on location and what is available really.
She lives in Salt Lake area and is in an assisted living, paid for through her Medicare/Medicaid and Social Security benefits. She has an apartment there and is wheelchair bound and they even let her have a cat. You should do some checking for her because there are places that will take them.
I worked in an assisted living for a while here where I live and it was mostly for private pay. I think nowadays they do allow otherwise due to the need for it and it is cheaper than putting them in a nursing home.
Once again, I would check on it. She will have to be evaluated of course to see if she meets the criteria for assisted living or if she needs to be in a long-term care. Prepare yourself for that one as well.
Hmmmm. What does he do for a living?
I'd be a little suspicious about selling drugs.
Been with my man for 16 years, living together 8..
Yay! We've been living vicariously through you. sm
I'm really glad you had such a nice time! What a bummer about that Pakistani doctor....pretty scary!
Have a great day! It's the last day of my pay period and I am soooo behind!! Gotta work! See ya!

Every living breathing male does if they can.
