fed-ex vs UPS

In shipping a package what is the difference.  I have only used UPS before but there is a new Fed-ex down the street.   What kind of box can you use for Fed-ex.  I know using UPS it can be any box but not wrapped.   Which is cheaper?  

Also is there anything that cannot go in the box for Fed-ex.  I am sending my college student home made cookies.  Now let me go make them.

  • Pack the cookies in more than 1 reusable container with lots of wax - paper & lots of padding. Should be fine! NM
