You're not the only one in a dysfunctional family - mine is unbelievable. So much jealousy, sister has to out do everyone else, mom plays favorites (my kids are the favorites - totally unfair to nieces), kids are grown now. Sister NEVER likes or uses anything given to her by any of us. Such a nightmare. My favorite time is Christmas morning with my husband. Thank heaven we still love each other and can sit by the fire with coffee and Kolachy and have a peaceful time with our gifts - carefully chosen and never expensive. I also have a core group of friends, "The Board" and enjoy time with them. Sometimes family can be a terrible trial during holidays.

HA! - I completely understand dysfunctional.
My stepdaughter (12 years old at the time) unwrapped her presents last year. Went to go to her mom's afterwards and do you know the next day, I found all of her gifts stashed in the bottom of the closet in the very back. She took all the gift cards and cash with her - didn't give a darn about the rest, clothes, jewelry, makeup, all kinds of stuff. Everything from her aunts/uncles were still in their packages and never given a second thought. Talk about ungrateful!!!
You are either a troll, liar or extremely dysfunctional....
take your pick. Oh, and if true, please get spayed!
