Have you ever seen it? All of those shows are just disgusting.
It's very vile. Which is why I only watch t.v. 0.00001% of my time. There isn't anything good on t.v. anymore - or good for you. I have 3 young children and the only safe channel it seems is the food network!

Intelligence
has many different avenues. As far as I know, those tests don't cover a lot of things I feel necessary to gauge total intelligence.
Not so sure I am brave enough to take one anyway. : )
Intelligence and happiness....sm
Intelligence should ENABLE you to lead a happy life ND solve your problems.
Intelligence does not guarantee happiness.
For anyone who doubts the intelligence of dogs....
Here is a recent entry from my blog about my Pomeranian, Fox. If this doesn't show how intelligent a dog can be, then I don't know what does.
WRAPPED AROUND HIS LITTLE PAW.....
Oh, yeah. He's got me trained.
The setup: One of Fox's pain medications is liquid, so I have started feeding him a bit of canned dog food (special urinary formula) in the mornings so I can put his medication on it instead of trying to squirt it into his mouth with the syringe. We have his water and dry food bowls in the kitchen on the tile, and we feed him his supper there as well, but in the mornings when I feed him his dog food I had been putting it here in the study on the carpet runners, partly for the company and partly so I could encourage him to eat it all.
Since his shoulder has gotten so bad, we decided to get a room-sized carpet for the study (it has wood laminate floors and Fox slipped and slid trying to get up off them). The background of the carpet is very light, so I started setting Fox's "brekky," as I call it, on the carpet at the entrance to the study. It is almost the same color as his food, which is a good thing, because he likes to scatter his food as he eats it.
Usually my husband is long gone to work by the time I get up, but he took yesterday off and when he saw what a mess Fox was making, he said we should feed him in the kitchen on the tile instead.
The payoff: So this morning, I decided to give that a try. I set Fox's plate of food over by his water bowl and I thought he went over to eat it. I was just around the corner in the kitchen getting my morning caffeine when I saw Fox had come back over and was looking at me. I realized that he had probably been standing by the back door waiting for me to let him outside (the door is just a few feet from his bowl) (yes, he does have me trained well - you're about to see how well).
So I let him out, waited for him to go, let him back in, and went back into the kitchen to finish what I was doing. Again I thought he was eating his food. Then I heard one sharp, loud bark. I went around the other corner and there he was, standing at the door of the study, looking at me like, "Okay, where's my breakfast?"
But wait, folks, there's more. I laughed, of course, and thought okay, I'll put a paper towel down beneath the plate to catch the scattered food. He looked quite suspiciously at the paper towel as I laid it down. I could tell he didn't like it. It took him an extra long time to eat his food this morning, and he scattered it even more than usual. I laughingly scolded him and picked it up and put it back on his plate.
A few minutes later a friend came over and we were standing in the living room, catching up on all the latest. I glanced over and saw that Fox's plate was no longer on the paper towel! My friend said she had been standing there watching him nose the plate off the paper towel. The little stinker!
So I put the plate back on the paper towel, picked up the one big chunk of food left, looked him straight in the eye and said, "Finish your breakfast." He must have figured he had pushed me far enough, because he came right over and ate the rest.
P.S. I am such a wimp. He just sat next to my chair staring at me until I got up and gave him a "cookie" (dog biscuit).
Again, where is your proof that someone is being...
told to do anything?
What proof do you have? I believe in God, but not
NM
Pretty sure he's done that too - no proof (sm)
He admitted it once but then took it back immediately and denied it from then on. So are you still with your husband?
Please share your proof
of life after death with us. I am very interested and quite sure everyone else will be also.
personal proof? does it have something to do
did ya see a ghost or just have one too many drinks??
still I have no real proof of what he has done (sm)
I can't prove he cheated when he wasn't with that guy and I can't prove he opened the cards without my knowledge.
He can look at my debt and see it as a fact.
I have lack of god as you put it, and
I hate to tell you, but you can be a good person and not believe in god. I'm not a criminal because I choose not to be not because I believe in god.
I'm so sick of hearing this kind of thing! I do not judge other people because they believe in god even though it's my opinion that they are wrong. However, all of the preachy people that throw god in my and everyone else's face, claim to be so righteous, etc., they judge me and everyone else. In fact, some of the most uncaring, insensitive, hateful people I have met have been "religious." Believing in god definitely didn't make them a good person.
Why does everything have to be about god with some people? What ever happened to religion being a personal choice and a personal thing between you and whatever you worship? Why do you have to force it on everyone else?
I don't force the fact that I don't believe in god on anyone else. I don't constantly tell them why there is no god and the reasons why I think that, but for some reason it's ok for other people to do the opposite to me and other's like me. What is it, if you hide behind religion it's ok to do/say whatever you want? If that's what having faith gets you, no thanks!
Nah, don't need proof, was just curious what you learned.
Nah, don't want proof, was just curious.
Ok so I didn't proof my message
You all get the point. We always alternating....hee hee

how to baby proof a house
First off, I am not being sarcastic....
Follow her around, fix everything, she touches and when she leaves the house will be baby proofed! :)
My 2-year-old son and I visited "great grandma" who had her pills by her TV all laid out. When no one was looking he ate them and we did not find out until she wanted to know where they were. He took one and a bite out of another, so we knew it was him. We were in the ER the rest of the afternoon. Luckily, it was just a mega dose of Lasix, so he just peed like a race horse for 24 hours. Those diapers weighed about 4 pounds a piece. She never did put the medicine away, and we had to train ourselves to watch him better at her house.
I am sure you have done an excellent job of getting ready. Have fun with your company!
Lack of help from future son-in-law
Please tell me if I'm overreacting. I'm moving 60 miles away from where I'm now living next weekend for a new job at a big hospital in my hometown. I'm excited but nervous also. My daughter is getting married in November. I only have about 3 rooms of furniture and a lot of it is already boxed and in a storage room. I asked my daughter if "Bruce," her fiance, and his buddies could help move me, as I am single, with no father, brothers or friends who are able-bodied any longer (I'm 50+). She asked him and grudgingly he said something to the effect that he could, but we would have load the truck the night before and he would have to be finished up before noon the next day, and his friend would help for $200(!). The last straw was he told my daughter to tell me not to expect to have boxes, furniture placed or set up, because he HAD to get to the "Mud Bog" by 12:00 sharp.
Is this any way to treat a future in-law? He knows I don't have any family really. I did get a couple of co-workers and their husband/brother to help, thank goodness, but I'm really worried about the future with this boy--respect for me, priorities, selfishness--thanks in advance.
Lack of due care goes either way

What to do about lack of pets --
Got a problem...
I had a Pomeranian for 5 years. Had a cat for 4 months.
Last month I found out I was going to have to move (could not afford the old house any longer) and I found an apartment that would allow me to have my dog. Then, lo and behold, 2 weeks ago (4 days before I moved), someone stole my dog out of my backyard (no, did not get loose - someone took him). I canvassed the neighborhood, had the police visit several homes that were possible snatchers, but ended up having to move without finding him.
Well, the landlord would still not allow me to keep the cat even with paying a nice fat animal deposit so today I had to turn him over to the humane society. My daughter had planned on taking him, but he was just a little too aggressive for the 1 year old granddaughter.
So, now, I am sitting here missing my babies and thinking I am going to have to get another dog. Obviously I do not have a lot of money to spend on another dog, but I need and want the companionship and the fun that comes along with a dog. So, some suggestions on what you think would be the best for me to get.
I really love the dogs with all the hair (Shih Tzu, Pomeranian, Pekingese, etc), but I also think how nice it would be not to have all the hair all over me and the house. I also think that a "mutt" might make a good choice, but upon my visit to the humane society today to turn over my cat, there was nothing but big dogs and I had to move into an apartment, so I think that would be too much.
Darn it, I am just lonely and feel like I have lost 2 of my kids right now!
You show proof of past income if you need to (sm)
and that should be enough - especially if you have excellent credit. I actually had a mortgage person tell me that self-employed people are basically stuck and can never make more money - needless to say I moved on to another company.
Makes me sick. They do have proof of abuse. PLUS

Proof positive that time-outs are nothing but
Maybe, but you are living proof that in today's world, -sm
you just never know. 'Once bitten, twice shy', and all that.
The scenario you describe may have been legit, but to me it sounds just TOOOOOO risky! Especially when there are more than one of them.
In these hard times, there are more robberies, muggings, carjackings, etc. than ever. Always be aware of your surroundings. Follow your gut instincts if you think something is not right as you walk to your car, and go back inside the store to ask for an escort. When you get in your car, don't dilly-dally - close the door and LOCK all your doors before you even put the key in the ignition.
They were old enough to know that women shouldn't give rides to strangers - period. They could have approached a man and asked him, or better yet, asked for bus fare money.
Women are best off only giving rides to people they know.
plain and simple, lack of God.

excuse my lack of knowledge, but
I thought medicinal marijuana was legalized in CA some time ago. What a horrible situation, this calls for an uprising, let the power of the people be heard. That is exactly why this stuff is going on - we let it.
sleep, or lack thereof
I read somewhere this past week that Sarah Palin only requires 3 to 4 hours of sleep a night. I remember in the past reading the same about Jay Leno. For a long time now I have thought about how much more I could accomplish if I could just get by on less sleep. I seem to function well with 7 hours and usually that is what I get.
Do you think that the ability to sleep 3 to 4 hours a night and actually function normally and enjoy life is a gift that a person is born with, or do you think it is something that can be learned? Do you think a person could get 1/2 hour less sleep per night every week, gradually getting used to less and less sleep, and still function well? Am I the only one who thinks about these things?
Please share your thoughts on this. Do you know anybody who sleeps so few hours, and what is their quality of life?
Even if I was to try to overcome my lack of desire for him (sm)
He did in one case admit to cheating with a girl he met while fishing from a pier in the Outer Banks. He then denied saying that, but of course he said it. I have children to raise. Should I expose myself to possible diseases? He still has not gone to get tested, so why should I give in to him?
by the way "band" was husband" sorry, so upset over this I did not proof read.

lack of etiquette just means one is a goon....
!!!
I read that a lack of vitamin D and boron can
cause psoriasis. The article said that a lot of vegetarians don't get psoriasis because they have a diet high in boron which helps with the conversion of vitamin D. It is because vegetarians eat food high in boron and vitamin D, i.e., veggies, fruit, etc, and the soild the veggies are grown in is high in these nutrients.
There was a post on here about helping psoriasis so I thought I would throw that in! Hope it helps.
Well, if the shoe fits....her mothering *skills* or lack of
were atrocious. The fact she even had another baby and it was born methadone addicted is atrocious. The way she treated that old man, first off just marrying an 87-year-old crippled man because he was a billionaire(you think if he worked at McDonald's she'd have fallen IN LOVE with him?), and then holding a tape recorder up to him while exposing her breasts to get him to say "I want you to have half my money when I die" was atrocious, and how she then without any embarrassment at all fought HIS BLOOD FAMILY for his money after he was dead was atrocious. Meanwhile she was screwing around with other guys in the old man's bed while he was in the hosital! She was pure white trash and would do anything for money and recognition, so like I said if the shoe fits.... I certainly hope not but would NEVER doubt anything when it comes to that woman. Feel bad that she died but I'm no hypocrite and so I don't change my way of thinking just because someone tragically died, as so many others do......
As you said in post "it just boils down to lack of disipline

Posts speak volumes in lack of trust
people have with their daughters. I have grown daughter so I guess now would be a different ballgame in the fact so many girls feel having sex and making babies at any young age, really young, is par for the course. Just talked with my 30 something daughter a few minutes ago and ran past her and she also thought creepy to keep list of periods. I guess you really have to do that these days though.
For me it is lack of sleep. I also can get them if my lips are chapped and peeling
and I bit at them, I will wake up the next day with a cold sore...I also get them on the rim of my nose and inside my nose(gross I know)and these come from me rubbing my nose too much from allergies!!!! Lysine helps some but I still tend to get them....STRESS, stress, stress!!!
Why wait for dad? When you do that, you imply you are the weaker parent, for lack of
You told him to sit for 4 hours (which I agree was harsh for an 8-yo) and gave in after 30 mins. Say what you mean and mean what you say, or the kids will think you're a pushover. Don't leave dad to be the enforcer, you enforce the rules, otherwise they'll fear dad but not you. Know what I mean?
This is disgusting.
Keep in mind that HPV is not the only way to get this cancer. From the National Cancer Institute:
Incidence of cervical (uterine cervix) cancer in the United States in 2007: New cases: 11,150.
This is the epidemic that we have to vaccinate our young girls for?? :(
This is so disgusting...sm
The Westboro Baptist Church that protests at soldiers' funerals is planning to protest at a funeral tomorrow for one of the VT students. I don't know if my link will work, but there is a whole page on The Smoking Gun.

Oh that's disgusting...
There's not enough Clorox Cleanup in the WORLD to get rid of those germs...sick! I despise cats, they're a waste of space. And this cat has peed on your kitchen counters...where you prepare food for your family...more than once? It's making my stomach turn just thinking about a cat being ON the kitchen counters, much less urinating on them...gross, gross, gross!
That's as disgusting as You Are What You Eat
I've got to say I think this is worse. All of it looks disgusting and yes, appropriately titled. I started watching You Are What You Eat about a year ago (seen every episode) and I bought her book. Really makes you want to be a vegetarian. Even though I don't eat that, it's still time for me to lose weight
What is disgusting about the
Duggar family? They are amazing. Completely debt-free and do not rely on the government, kids have morals, are respectful and are kind to one another, mom and dad spend oodles of time with their kids and treasure each and every one of them. Maybe strange in this day and age, but disgusting, no.
I think it is disgusting
the owners allow these (and probably are the ones promoting) tip jars. It's pathetic.
WIRELESS NETWORK!!!- sounds like you are getting hacked (for lack of a better term)
You need to secure your network. Check outside your home at these times for a strange car. A neighbor with a teenage boy or girl using a wifi connection to access your network getting on a porn or gaming site that bills via a VOIP dial-up It can be done.
you want to make sure they cant access you need to secure your network with passwords and such and turn your router off at night when you go to bed no wireless = no connection.
Hope this helps feel free to email if you need some more info.
Nothing disgusting or wrong
While I do agree that the above poster has every right to make up what rules she wants followed in her house and feel this should be respected by her children, I don't think there is anything wrong with 2 consenting adults having sex married or not. It's not the 1920s anymore, and woman can have and enjoy sex just as much as man can and shouldn't be called immoral for it. If a man or woman wants to have consensual sex, that doesn't make them bad or lesser or a human being, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it as long as they are safe. It is up to them and not for anyone else to judge. Sex is quite natural. It's not some big evil thing to be ashamed of. You do what is right for you, and other people will do what is right for them! I just don't understand why the majority of people are so worried and so quick to jump to conclusions about what other people do
As far as girls having a lot of partners because they start early, that's not necessarily the case either. I started having sex when I was 16, and I'm still with the same man 15 years later. If that makes me immoral in anyone's eyes, I'm quite sure I won't lose any sleep tonight.
absolutely disgusting.......sm
and that's putting it mildly....sounds like someone with no heart whatsoever and whose life is *immaculate*.....sorry, ain't happenin.....we all have stories.....sad ones at that....
