Don't know about dentists, but back when
I worked in a hospital (25 years ago), we had a psychiatrist who lost his license because he was giving pelvic exams.
Call around because different dentists...
have different prices. I got one pulled without insurance and it was around $200, but a different dentist had quoted $400.
