I love corgis. They do shed, but a (sm)
great tool is the Furminator. You could put it on your Christmas list since it's around $50. It's not an every day brush. It works best on a clean coat, so right after a bath, after using a rake or other brush and blowdrier, I finish with the Furminator. Other people that try to use it all the time say it can break hairs, but I think that's from using it too often and when the coat isn't clean enough. The tines are so close together than any grit on the hair causes problems getting it through.

After using it on a Siberian, we have no shedding problem for about 3 weeks, especially if it is timed well with the blow-season when the fur is coming out in wads.

Even if a groomer baths and brushes out your dog, when she gets home, use the Furminator. That's what I've done.
