That is very strange! I agree that is our time. Why bother getting married if you don't share the same bedroom. That sounds like a house for people that want a divorce but stay together for the kids!

I'm in the bedroom...
Unfortunately, the unfolded laundry gets shuffled from my chair to the bed and back and forth. Folded laundry ends up on the corner of my desk and the other corner of my desk has little toys and a gameboy on it from my 7 yo because he likes to watch TV in my room and it's right beside my desk. Top of my desk has hubby's wallet, loose change, etc. (sigh)
In the bedroom too but I sit next
to 2 ceiling to floor windows. It's not bad except when the sun hits the screen and in the winter it's a little cold by the windows so I use a heating pad to snuggle up with. It would be nice to get more exercise than bending over to turn the computer on from the bed.
just redid my bedroom
I had a beige color rug put down (old hardware floors were there that we were going to resurface but decided to do rugs. I have red walls. I bought a new bedroom set since mine was 27 years old and it was a large colonial with the big head board and foot board. I bought a maple set with the iron head board and foot board. They have a touch of maple wood through them I have a black bedspread and black curtiains tied back with gray cloth blinds that are very room darkenening at night which is great. I have red sheets and on top of the bed I have various black and red throw pillows. I also have a black iron wall plaque that holds about 10 candles in back of the bed. It actually is nicer than it sounds. People think black is depressing but with the red accents it is very nice. I got so many compliments.
Mine use to be in the bedroom in my
old house before I moved and actually had an office. The only problem was when I had to work early on a weekend morning and my BF was still asleep. Ever tried typing "quietly?" Can't be done.
Opinions on bedroom windows...
I am bringing this up from a thread below since I would like to get some opinions. I have room darkening shades that I have stapled right onto the trim but it does not work quite as well as I would have hoped. I have not found a way to block it so that no light comes in at all. I have blankets over the curtain rod and blankets laying across the top because of the light that comes in at the top.
Also he runs a fan to block daytime noise and so it causes the blankets to move and flutter.
Here is an idea I had but would have to figure out how to build it. Window cornice(?) that would cover the entire window. Four 2x4s long enough to box in the window completely and piece of plywood over it, cover with fabric of some kind (curtainy)and install it on the window. I would also like to figure out a way to make it removable so during the days he's not in there I would have natural light. I was even thinking I could insulate the inside of the box.
I am looking for any and all opinions. Even the littlest light in there bothers him.
Thinking of redecorating my bedroom (M)
I was trying to get ideas on what color to paint the walls and I can't decide when I buy a new set if I want dark or light furniture. Does anyone really love their bedrooms and if so maybe I could get some ideas. I'm really not that great with this stuff. Thanks in advance.
my cat is 16. she went from living in my empty bedroom to my closet. sm
She goes between my closet and my husband's closet. She is eating well but just does not want to be bothered with us. She has always been a bit shy.
Holmes HEPA filter in bedroom - sm
I have had mine for 9 years now. Still works just fine. Best of luck!
"trees" are up. I have 2. Ordered one this year for our master bedroom and sm
it is huge!! We have vaulted ceilings. Then we have our 7.5 in our living room. The one in our bedroom is near the fireplace and has very nice collectable ornaments and the other tree has just memorable ones, ornaments kids made, etc.
But my favorite decoration this year is a topiary that I made. I wish I could take a picture. I love it! I just made it up with leftover things I already had. It is gorgeous. Sits on my dining room table as a centerpiece. Having a huge Christmas party tomorrow night.
What is sadder is the grandparents live in a small home, 3 bedroom, and filed bankruptcy 2 years ago
