I do not know everyone's situations, but I see women on here whining and whining about stupid things. Enjoy the person you love. My husband is at war and I miss him terribly. All of these stupid little things that women deem "selfish" and such are usually nothing more than selfish women wanting things their own ways. Like I said, not every time, but come on, you have to give some, too. If you think your man sucks, there is really nothing he is going to do to make you happy, so you should probably cut him loose to find someone who can appreciate him.

Many meds for depression and mental retardation make people very SM
heavy. My friend has gained probably 75 pounds or more since being on some of the meds. Don't know quite why they contribute to weight loss, but one commercial some years ago said that it does something to the part of the brain that senses when you are full. . . . .

My IQ is 126, not quite Mensa quality. I find MT work challenging and interesting, and I enjoy it. I'm one of those high earners that people on this board disbelieve.
A high IQ doesn't mean you're called to a career in rocket science. Quite a few actors are members of Mensa (in the top 1%), including Geena Davis and Steve Martin. I'm sure there are plenty of actors with low IQ's as well. People do what they enjoy, and that's not always Einstein's work.

BUT, my husband is a veeeeerrrrry picky eater. I used to fix dinner the way I liked to eat. I love veggies and fruit, and he hates those things. I used to make a kick-@$$ lasagne with sliced zucchini and ricotta cheese and those are two things out of many that he hates. I haven't had my lasagne for many years, and I'm not going to make lasagne for myself! What's worse is now my 2-year-old daughter is just like him!! Now I'm never gonna get what I like to eat EVER!! (unless my 7-month-old ends up eating like me!) Anyway, yeah - a little resentful when I make dinner and there is 1 ingredient in there he doesn't like so he makes himself a sandwich!

Apartment ... okay ... job, stupid
I can see why apartment managers would care, but an employee is not going to have to pay his boss, so it's unfair to use credit against a potential employee.
People end up with credit issues for a variety of reasons and it's not a fair assumption that they will not perform in their jobs.
So many ways people struggling financially get pushed further down ... savings gets below a certain amount - the bank charges a fee; a person misses a payment or pays a little late - another fee, etc.
I can see if someone is just not paying, but when people are in hard times, it's not fair they can push you further down!
Obama said last night on Jay Leno he is going to do something about the credit card companies ability to charge ridiculous fees, so that's a start at least.
I have also known people trying to make their way off welfare, but everytime they earned a little extra, they were shorted funds from their welfare and could never save to get out of the hole.
Our government and society surely needs an overhaul!

I know you've seen the commercials with Lindsey Wagner, Cheryl Ladd, Sally Field, Marie Osmond, Heather Locklear and others hawking their products, but have any of noticed just how many filters are used on the actor's faces and not on the product??? Lindsey Wagner is barely recognizable on her Sleep Number bed, she's so blurry. Same with Cheryl Ladd, Marie Osmond and Heather Locklear. Sally Field is a bit more natural, but you can still see the difference.

My meter happens to be in the back fenced in yard, which is my pit bull CJ's yard. He is a inside dog but when he goes out that is his yard. Well I put a sign on the gate that says BEWARE OF DOG to let people know it's not a good idea to just pop in back there. Hint, Hint, meter reader. All he has to do is come to the front door and make sure I have CJ inside when he goes back there to read the meter. Well that dummy just opens the gate with the sign saying beware of dog. He sees this big bulldog growling at him, and he just keeps on walking on in the yard. Well my dog cornered him up by the meter and was really growling and barking so I run out there and I had to grab my dog by the collar and tell him ok go ahead and leave. Some people have no sense. If I saw a sign and a big dog in the yard growling at me I would not go in the yard.

if she wanted a master's, she should have done that BEFORE having the litter. It would have been a lot easier. I struggle with having two kids (11 and 13) and going to school at the same time and having a job, etc., etc.

it is wonderful to see how many people have such strong opinions about people in debt.
I thought that the purpose of this board was to be able to post without being judged unfairly or have somebody tell you how wonderful their personal life is, and therefore you are causing their life to be less wonderful with your irresponsibility. Well, the saying "walk a mile in my shoes" is a good one in this case. Since you have no personal information about the person you are lambasting because they are looking for information on their debt, you can feel superior. Had you had personal information about them, you might act in a more human manner. Consider fighting cancer for 4 years, working and being debilitated while you do, suffering the effects of chemo, going into debt to maintain your home for your children and looking for a way out of debt SHOULD YOU EVEN LIVE THROUGH THIS!! Thank you for the kind comments. To the judgmental people I say please take a step back before you judge. You do not know who you are talking to and if you knew the personal information maybe your comments would be kinder.

Man, you would have appreciated the time one of my relative's popped a HUGE cyst on her face. I was standing right next to her at the time and leaned back because I knew it was going to blow. It did! Big time! All over the wall, mirror and light fixture. I'm still disgusted by the thought of it 10 years later. LOL In a revering kind of way...

They actually have less sympathy than they do for people who have substance abuse, IME.
At any rate, I do feel sorry for Britney but the safety of her children should be everyone's first priority, then her safety. It would seem to me that all these hangers-on she has are jeopardizing that safety. It's all just very sad.

Now that I think of it my DH did make up some - sm
tapes; used to DJ parties long ago; so he did the music (his contribution other than showing up!)-- and we "snapped" up the china, not stamped it up! Boy, too much sun on Saturday I guess! We did have a photographer too (that is in that $5K figure); did a very small "package" with a local studio; 2 hours of photographer time, got lucky though, got one of their better photographers who had hurt his foot so could not do big long weddings. He did a wonderful job and we had great pictures to remember the day by. (Plus my brother video taped it as well).

They are voicing their objections loud and clear and for some reason. They must be very uncomfortable. I am a new grandma (3 years) and I don't get real involved but try to keep my GD busy and I think I would know if she was downright miserable which sounds like what your kids are. I would question the kids at an approprite time - separately and then together and then see what their responses are - tell them you will not get mad and you can keep their secret but you are concerned and would like to know. Then if a time ever comes up with your MIL and it is appropriate - drop a hint or two.

I have read all the posts about these cute blankets. How do you make them ? They sound pretty easy.

I make breakfast taquitos to stick in the freezer for quick breakfasts if the kids are running late, which is almost every day.
One kid hates cheese and likes the corn tortillas so I make bacon and scrambled eggs with a little onion powder, roll them up and make them stick with a teensy bit of cheese (she has never noticed it there) then freeze them.
The other kid like the flour tortillas so I do the same thing but add shredded cheese. Stick them in the freezer in gallon size freezer bags.
I can make 30 of each kind in about 20 minutes and that's 30 days worth of last minute breakfasts or after school snacks.
I know - it's almost enough to make
you join a gym, if only I could afford it. It's not my company - I think they are above board and good people and all. But I've been doing this 19 years, and my brain keeps telling me that variety is what is needed for a brain, not cave dwelling, isolated work.

The makeup counters at Macy's, Boscov's, all the big stores offer a free makeup application and teaching, but be careful they'll try to sell you the store. At 13, I would say base if she has acne if not, none, and a little mascara and maybe a light lip gloss.
Tell her from many of us from them 70s and 80s, lots of makeup causes creases and wrinkles as much as the sun does.

Maybe that's the company they were talking about in the magazine. You can make $28.00 an hour or more working for doctors. That is not a lie. A lot of these companies offer their own school to work as you go.

because I am fortunate enough to have a husband who has a good job, a great work ethic and both of us have decided to live debt free and are happy that way, I am the bad person here? Wow, how catty and bitchy some women are. Just think, I could work for a lousy company making peanuts, work around the clock to make those peanuts, eat top ramen, never have anything new, never take a vacation and then come here and complain about my life, my job situation, etc. No thanks. Some of you need to take a step back and figure out why you are so unhappy for anyone who can manage to make ends meet in this day and age. None of you would turn it down. DH and I are a team, we work together to have a good life and there is nothing wrong with that. Sorry if that offends you; it works out well for us.
