You son is picking on her...

What seems like fun and joking around to a person can be threatening and terrifying for a dog. Dogs aren't that complex. Happy before son came home...terrified after he came home...see? Whether he is deliberately being mean or just giving--what he thinks is--a playful stomp towards her or a little mean look, the dog is obviously terrified.

Where are you picking that up?
Not seeing on CNN or the other big channels. Not surprised because I noticed a paramedic hovering over him going into the hospital giving CPR
picking my battles
You dont even realize how right you are about picking battles. Social security? That is a small, small worry in comparison to where you spend eternity. I am concerned about worldly issues, however, I find that my "battles" are with what happens after this. I want to be sure that my children have a firm belief and faith in God so that they can spend eternity with him and not in he11. That is the ultimate God-given responsibilty of parents.
someone picking their nose
If I have to shake hands with someone who was coughing, rubbing their nose, if I see kids picking their nose or eating their boogers! I completely freak out!

I agree..it sounds like kids are picking on him...
Some kids most definitely are cruel...That is why I wish all public schools had uniforms too...would make life so much easier I tell ya...I would definitely have a talk with him about it...good luck...I have a 9-1/2-year-old son and he is like the below posters son: forgetfull, lacks common sense, et cetera.

Picking blackberries & putting them in an empty coffee can.
There was a field nearby with TONS of wild blackberry bushes. Some of them we would keep for ourselves and make blackberry cobbler, or we would sell them in empty coffee cans to the neighbors for $5/can. What a bargain!
Marsha, Marsha, Marsha.... stop picking on me.
