You know, this is why

I have had 3 family members in my family die of cancer.
All of them were given these % chance of this or that. Those numbers are never completely right.
They gave my grandfather 6 months. He lived 4 years.
They gave my mother 9 months, she lived another 3 years.
My aunt, she went through some ungodly treatments with radiation and chemo. Every single time she went into remission, it came back within 3 months. She went through 6 years of this before she gave up fighting.
This is not just a medical decision. This is a QUALITY OF LIFE decision.
None of us has the right to impose a treatment on a person that will affect their quality of life. It is not murder. It is called free will. We were all born with free will and in this country we are allowed to exercise it.
Forcing a treatment on another person is wrong. How would you feel if they told you that you had to undergo a treatment you did not want and you would be sick because of it? It isn't your decision or anyone else's decision to make.
People actually make these decisions all the time. I used to type for a pediatric oncology clinic. Very rarely do these cases come to national attention, except when there is something different about the people, such as their religious beliefs.
If the kid doesn't want the treatment, let him be.
