Just a full-spectrum bulb (the bonafide SAD light boxes were a tad out of my budget). I did see a therapist who had one in her office and said she used it all the time and said it really helped her. Can't hurt to give it a shot, right? We've got another gray day today here too but the last 2 were enough to give me a bit of a boost. Talking about it certainly helps too!

healthier than tanning booths.
Thank goodness I am too claustrophobic to use tanning booths or I probably would have when I was younger. As it is I laid out in the sun a lot when I was in my 20s, and have the age spots to show for it.
Why do they still make those boxes
where it says, "To open, press thumb here" and they only have fake perforated lines so that you break your thumb or smash the box trying?
And why do I still try? It hasn't worked once in the 40 some odd years I've been trying. Do I really think it's going to work now?

that you sit in front of or just a type of light bulb? I'm looking at the snow coming down here on top of the foot we already have and while it is very pretty, I've had enough! 
I always put them in the lunch boxes with a cold pack. NM

leave it open for about 6-8 hours, seriously. baking soda 3-4 boxes, too. nm

Leave some open boxes of baking soda inside and maybe search for carbon filters to leave in there,
