You don't need a plumber. You just need a little know-how.

I had the same issue not long ago. Liquid drain cleaners didn't work. I needed to use an old-fashioned plunger, and to do that I had to get the drain stopper out. There's a nut that has to be loosened under the sink. Once everything is cleared and you put it back together, you can set it so that the stopper isn't locked into place again, and you can just lift the stopper out whenever you want. you may need to check with a plumber first
We would love to put one in but our plumber told us since our basement was finished there was no way of installing one (since you have to mess around with the pipes in the walls) without tearing out some walls first.
Is anybody's husband a plumber? I have a problem...sm

Our master bathroom has a sink that just won't drain as it should. It's my husband's side, and he shaves over the sink, so one would think it's just clogged with whiskers/shavings. But no amount of Liquid Plum'r or Drano will help. I can't for the life of me get the stopper out to see if something else is down there, though I can't imagine how that's possible. Really, theres no getting the stopper out.

So I'm wondering if it's possible that something in the stopper mechanism might have broken/flapped closed...something minor but just enough to cause this. It WILL drain eventually, but it's a pain waiting for it. I guess it's pretty hard to diagnose without seeing it, but I'm trying to avoid a plumbar housecall if possible. Anybody have a similar problem?

Make your own income, hire a plumber. Total unnecessary. Men are useless in the family plan.
