taught manners. I don't see that as being rude. As I stated before, anyone who actually knows me knows whether I would come or not. I would tell them or get word to them. I'm not going to RSVP to someone that I didn't ask for an invite or want one. These are usually people who just invite hundreds of people to their weddings (people who are not close or they have not talked to in years) to get extra gifts or money. I didn't have a wedding and big ceremony as I feel it's a waste of money. So, I certainly didn't send everyone and their brother an invitation to get some extra cash or a gift out of the deal.
If it's someone I know well and love like a close family member, then I will contact them or they'll just know I'm coming. If it isn't, then they probably aren't expecting me to come and will not I'm definitely not coming when they don't get a response.
Who are you to tell anyone if they have manners or not? I would say your post shows a lack of manners on your part.
