In today's society, young people are so influenced by what they see on TV, music videos, hear in music downloads, etc. that they cannot help it. When this type of thing is constantly being played out every where you go, young people feel that is the only way to be complete, is by having someone in their lives. A lot of grown people feel this way too, like they need an extension of themselves to be whole, which is utter nonsense, as far as I am concerned. Maybe if people spent a little more time *finding themselves* instead of latching onto the first person that showed an interest in them, there would be fewer divorces and fewer teenage pregnancies in this world. Personally, I like being alone to be able to do what I want, when I want, and not having to do someone elses laundry. I would like to have someone in my life who cares for me, but not at the expense of *losing myself* in order to have that. Definitely not worth it. This young girl does sound rather needy though, and he should be cautious of her. Perhaps the first boyfriend realized that too. Someone who professes to *love you* can totally suffocate, as well. Good luck to both of you. and this is JMO.
