You are correct: The majority of people would NOT vote for abortion

But they WOULD vote FOR Reproductive Choice. Speaking of "activist judges" - how do you feel about the handful that installed a War Criminal in our Whitehouse?

Yes, I do. He was in the top the majority of the

We're the majority, Get over it,.
If you're not well-liked, maybe there's a reason . . . . hmmmmmmmmmmmm?!

Since the majority wants Christmas, go for it!

Funny, the majority of reports I type
Sure are a bunch of them being born with congenital abnormalities that require a lot of surgery and long stays in intensive care! But of course, let's drive up our own health care costs by pulling out all stops to keep them healthy from birth! Glad to know MY smoking and eating is causing the crisis (although I pay MY taxes and health care premiums), not free health care to thousands of new illegal aliens every day!
Vast majority are benign. Try not to worry. There SM

If she'd had an abortion you would never even know about it.
ll
By not having an abortion.
Like I said, it's not ideal, but so many people are so judgemental toward people who have kids young - at least they didn't take the easy way out and get an abortion. I am not a pro lifer, but I do respect people who are willing to step up and raise their kids no matter what age they are. I have friends who were forced to have abortions by their parents because they got pregnant young because the parents were so afraid of what people would think, and that's not right either.
I don't think their mom is going to win any mother-of-the year awards, but if she didn't accept Jamie Lynn's decision than she greatly reduces her chances of having a good relationship with the grandchild. Babies are a gift - even when they aren't born into the perfect suburban home. I'm not saying teen pregnancy is a good thing, but it happened, and now she has to make the best of a tough situation.
I'm against abortion, as well.
If you're referring to recognizing their civil union as a marriage, I am against it.

If abortion is murder ...
How do you treat a woman who has had an abortion? Do you treat her differently from a woman who strangled her newborn? Or a woman who killed the neighbor lady because she wanted the neighbor man for her own?

I agree with abortion being a choice.
should everyone see an ultrasound beforehand? I am for the choice to do as you choose. I believe in freedom as well, but there are people out there that believe abortion is murder. That is all I was stating above there. What I am saying is that there are circumstances like some named in this thread that shall we say "warrant" an abortion, but those "rules" would need to be up to the lawmaker. Are we only talking about teenage pregnancies or pregnancies after the age of 45? What type of pregnancies are we talking about that the mother should look at the ultrasound beforehand? There would be a lot of ifs, ands, and buts, for this to become a law, wouldn't some agree? That is all I was stating there. I think this may have been misinterpreted. Of course, I believe a woman has the right to choose in regards to her own healthcare whether it be an abortion, a hysterectomy, or to have a fracture fixated. All the same to me. Sorry if I have offended anyone, but that is how I feel.
Anonymous question regarding abortion (sm)
With this being a major factor in the political arena right now I wanted to ask this:
For anyone who has ever had an abortion (and there are many of us), were/are you ok with it still or did you have a period of extreme guilt/anxiety over it? I had one and did not terribly regret it, other than a short grief period, until I actually had children. I went through about two years of horrible guilt and remorse. I am now pro-life. I feel an abortion kills an innocent child and causes emotional scars for the mother that will never go completely away. I feel that I am not deserving of complete happiness in my life, ever, because I denied my child the right to have a life and attempt to find happiness. I know my reasons at that time and I know I felt like it was something I had to do, but the fact is many of us had them to avoid the shame, embarassment and/or financial burden that we feared. We thought we couldn't give our child a decent life even if we had him/her. The thing is, for the small price of some embarassment/shame and inconvenience, we could have given a family without a child a chance to have a child to love and raise, we could have given that child an opportunity to grow and seek happiness, even with obstacles to overcome. Instead, many of us chose a more selfish route, convincing ourselves it was less selfish. Anyway, that's how I feel about it. How about you.
I'm pro-choice. Abortion is not murder. SM
Abortions are performed very early on in pregnancy. I'm afraid to say this, but basically, it is a lump of tissue. Women have to right to form their own opinion, but the idea a person is aborting a roly-poly fully formed baby is a crock. This is propaganda devised by right-winged fundamentalists, many of whom happen to be men.
I do believe in practicing safe sex, so abortion will not be needed. That is the ideal, but we are all only human.
No, I never had an abortion. I had my daughter at age 25, after being married 5 years. My daughter was married at 30 and had her first child at 31. We are both Pro Choice.
What about Gay Rights and FOCA (abortion) then?
hmmmm?
We can legalize Gays and Abortion but prostitution, pot, marijuana etc. (much lesser evils) should be "prosecuted heavily", oh come on .... It's all about "feeling good". If gays 'feel good' with each other and teenage moms 'feel good' to abort then what's your issue with pot or marijuana users? Don't they have a right to feel good with all the economic benefits for government?
Whoever said abortion feels good? nm

I agree..I would even, in this case, opt for abortion.....nm
nm
Get over it. Abortion is legal, and American women
nm
No matter what laws are made, if women want to get an abortion
then they will. I have a couple of abortions prior to a marriage and prior to my 2 children. I have never so called suffered because of my decision, in fact I was young and could not have taken care of any children. I do not regret this decision. Either legal or illegal, makes no difference in a woman making the decision to seak an abortion.
Don't you remember Ronald Reagan's stance on abortion? sm
It was "I'm PRO-CHOICE. If the unborn baby has a choice, I am PRO-CHOICE."
Yes, but abortion would be only taking the budding tomatoe, not the whole plant.

no, abortion is taking a HUMAN life with a soul.

I don't see any MEN I would vote for - sm
look at the mess they've made of this country. I think it's time for a change, before English becomes a 2nd language in the US, before ALL our jobs end up in the Third World, and before we go to war with yet ANOTHER country for no particular reason, while still another devastating terrorist attack will be launched in the US (I say WILL, not MIGHT, especially if we end up with another loser like Dubya in office...) The men don't seem to be able to keep their pants on, either. And trying to do so seems to cloud their thinking process.
Nope, it's definite time for a woman's touch when it comes to representing this country.
I vote for #2.
I have a 5 yo and a 23 mo, both girls. I just spent 100 on clothes for the 5 yo alone for back to school. I did not buy anything for my 23 MO because she has tons of her big sisters hand-me-downs. I wonder though how this is going to affect her when she gets more aware of things.
UGG. The joys of raising kids who think money grows on trees. LOL.
I vote to let him go....sm
I would say let him go....What a special opportunity that most kids never get. If YOUR vote ends up to be no, would it be possible in any way for you and/or your husband to tag along so that he could go and you just be there for your peace of mind and the 'in case' situations? Another thought....so much changes in a year....I am not sure I would stress about it yet - until you need to. Good luck!
Thanks! I did vote for Kim. (sm)
She's my favorite. I haven't seen the final show yet, but I'm sure it taped for me.
I vote for gma!!!! :-) nm

My vote is...
for a Bassett Hound, but they do need exercise (all dogs do, I guess, according to the Dog Whisperer).
I second this vote! s/m
I have had two Boston's over the past 12 years and they are wonderful! You do have to be careful of their eyes because they are easily scratched, but other than that, are very protective, very cuddly and just plain adorable!
vote is a joke
There is a web site set up, which I am sure most of you know about, that encourages voters to vote for certain singers, (the worst) Sanjaya happening to be the one the last couple weeks. I know the same thing pretty much happened with a couple of singers last year, they were mentioned on the web site and for several weeks, although they were terrible, they were not even in the bottom 3.
I did not vote for ANYONE in this "regime," so my...
conscious is clear as far as that goes. Majority rules though, so the majority obviously likes being sheep is all I can figure.
I vote for Giacomo!

i will only vote for a mother
think twice before sending our children to war. Don't forget, women are dying in war now and fighting. If a woman can get shot or blown up in Iraq, she sure can be President. I have decided to only vote for a woman that has had children, and preferably a person of color. I think men think too much with their testosterone and have brain poisoning from it. I will never vote for a man again.
I'd vote for Hayseed. Maybe she'd run? nm

You've got my vote!!!
I vote #2. See message.
I think an earlier post had the best answer:
"A 15yo and an 8yo should not be treated equally anyway. If the 15yo wants what the 8yo wants, tell him/her they can have the same bedtime, curfew, privileges etc. if they want everything to be fair."
You've got the vote and a whole
lot more - took this to my favorite forum where I can assure you there are a whole lot of passionate people when it comes to helping. - a heaping lot of them also happen to be from Georgia. Best of Luck to Sumter!
well with 50% vote fan-based,
lots can happen. But its still a great show with all the interest angles. I never did think she was the best talent myself. but what stunned me was the 'warmth' between her and her partner. It was really surprising to see such an open demonstration of affection in that setting...
I just submitted my vote!
I watched each of the three videos and I did vote for Kathryn. The others were more personal wishes and there is nothing wrong with that, but hers would benefit so many more people and it hits home with me as I have a son with Aspergar's, and he is very aware that he is treated differently and just wants to be like everyone else. The little guy thinks if he could retake the test where he was diagnosed with autism that he would be able to "pass" it now and would not be diagnosed with autism.
Good luck to Kathryn! I hope she wins
Another vote sent out for Kathryn nm

I've been trying and trying to vote, but
this year it is nearly impossible to get through for me. This result was very, very wrong.
You win my vote!! What a visual LOL.(nm)
