Yes, and mostly because

I have lost many in my family over the last recent years. I went to the cemetery the other day to put poinsettias (? sp) on the graves and suddenly realized that within 20 square feet lie almost everyone who just a few years ago would have been sitting at my dining room table for Christmas dinner. My dad just passed away on 9/20 and this has added to my feeling rather sad this time of the year, but I decorated like I usually do, even a tree he especially liked (outdoors decorating) and rely on the rest of my family (mother, husband and pets) as well as my faith, to keep me upbeat. We also do Christmas shopping for the less fortunate and all in all, I find that doing for others really helps me feel much better. This time of the year can be hard for a lot of people. It just takes focusing on the positive things and counting your blessings to help the blue moods hopefully disappear.
