I took the advice of eye doctors in my area as to who should do the surgery. They all agreed that the number of procedures performed was important, but that not all surgeons were getting the same success rates. There would be a big difference to you if you did not achieve 20/20 vision. Even 20/30 is a noticeable deficit if you are used to good vision. I was actually used to being overcorrected with glasses, so it was even tough getting used to 20/20, but I know it is important not to be overcorrected for distance because you'll end up in reading glasses all the sooner. At any rate, all the eye doctors, especially those who had had the procedures themselves, were adamant that I should get a surgeon with the right credentials: http://www.lowryeye.com/bio-lowry.shtml
