Yes, I guess you have a "genuine" version of Windows

and not an illegal copy. Can't say that for many of us using company equipment, lol.

Way cooler new-and-improved version!

Nothing like the old show...very hip, very edgy, very sexy.  I'm sure they'll be showing reruns....maybe already are...haven't sat down to watch TV in what feels like forever!  (although I do have a few Good Eats in my DVR so I can skip commercials and just watch that oh-so-edible Alton Brown!)

Installing Husband Version 1.0
Subject:INSTALLING HUSBAND Version 1.0

Dear Tech Support:

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and almost immediately noticed a distinct slowdown in overall system performance-particularly in theFlower and Jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programssuch as NFL 5.0, MLB 3.0, NBA 4.0, NASCAR 4.2 and Golf Clubs 4.1. Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.

I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do?

Dear Desperate:

First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an Operating System.

Please enter the command: "http//www.I-Thought-You-Loved-Me.com" and try to download Tears 6.2, and don't forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default toGrumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0, or Beer 6.1. Beer 6.1 is a very badprogram that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources). Also, do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. This is an unsupported application and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. Yo u might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Hot Food 3.0 and Lingerie 7.7.

I have the older version of the Canon - sm
the PowerShot A20. Very good camera! Takes great pictures. The only thing I'd like to change is to get one of the really tiny ones that would fit in my pocket.

My older (film) camera is also a Canon, and it still takes gorgeous shots, and is better with action shots because the shutter is quicker than on a digital. But once I got a digital, I knew I'd never go back to film!

Canon makes good products... I also have a Canon i850 photo printer, and it makes beautiful prints!
Key words here are translation and version..
The Bible is interpreted in a way for the reader to decide.  All of your scriptures are from "versions" or "translations."  Do you not know what that means?  Well I'll tell ya'...  It means that someone has taken it upon themselves to write what they think.
You could look into the human version of same med. Probably cheaper.

as my version of "born again christian"
is a person with that pitchfork on their shoulder still and for life - oh I forgot, you will get to heaven because you are a "born again christian"...well not really, just a sinner who wants to get to heavan in the worst way!! Good luck..I'll be there before you..I lived a good life and do not need to spew hate and intolerance. How sorry I am for you. By the way, if you are a christian, is this the way you act?? Oh, I forgot, yes it is. You ARE THE BEST AND THE PUREST!! Excuse me.
LMAO!!!!
Love the version of the "crackberry!" nm

lock windows
I made my fiance nail shut all the windows in the house when I moved in with him until we bought new windows because lo and behold none of his windows locked.  While this was probably not smart in case of a fire I would rather be alive to throw something out the window to get out rather than have someone come through the window at night (or day) and do who knows what.
Another warning about windows being down
I had a friend whose husband had the passenger's side window down and the dog was in the front seat.  He was on a leash, but he tried to get some fresh air (small dog as well), he slipped and fell out of the window and was hung by the leash when the husband (while driving) tried to "yank" him back in.  He has never gotten over it.  Another word to the wise - I wonder if this could be just as much of a distraction as talking on a cell phone while driving.  If I had a dog, I think he/she would be in the back seat, and I would literally treat him/her more like a child and belt the animal in to be safe.  Sorry to hear of the loss in your life.  It must have been devastating.
....here. Maybe the windows will be open if it's
s
yea - I need windows, gutters, among
other things but I decided 79.00 wasn't going to get anywhere close to what I needed for that!  I might as well die if I can't have something I want every now and then.
Mine's a shorter version but very similar.....
Dump his a**.
Thanks for checking. I did try making my homemade version.
Not too bad.  Needs a little recipe tweaking, but not too bad.  I just made sure not to buy Folger's instant coffee for the recipe
Here's mine for bugeyes... our version of buckeyes... sm

I hear that I am a good candy maker and my secret is I don't measure!  I eyeball everything!  Lazy!  So the measurements I give are kind of guesses... but you can look up recipe for buckeye candy too.  We changed the name of ours to bug eyes because they kind of looked like bulging out bug eyes

Peanut Butter - approx 2-3 cups. I use Skippy Honey Nut. In a household taste test with another regular brand this got higher review.  Definitely go for a creamy kind and don't use all natural.

3-4 cups powdered sugar  (I specifically remember the recipe called for 3, but when I looked in the box there was not that much sugar left in there, so I dumped it in.  So basically one whole box of powdered sugar)

2 sticks butter

1 package of chocolate chips.  I'm a Nestle Toll House girl always.  I think the recipe was actually for those melting choc chips, but I think those don't taste that great.

Beat BP and 1 stick softened butter in very large bowl until PB is really creamy & then slowly add in sugar until it seems to hold together well enough to form balls.  I say slowly on adding in the sugar so you can stop when you can make good balls that are moist and not crumbly.  Probably about 1-inch size balls or so.  Use waxed paper on a baking sheet and stick in the freezer for about an hour.

When hour is up, melt chocolate and about half of the other stick of butter together in pot on stove.  You can microwave but I think slowly stirring over the stove is easier to monitor.  When all of the chips have melted together, you are done.

Don't let chocolate cool, start dipping PB balls in til coated, leaving a portion of the ball uncovered like an eyeball.  I put tiny slivers of unmelted chocolate in the middle of the uncovered part to look like pupils.  Keep in fridge until set.

I hope someone enjoys.  This is probably a very common recipe, and like I said you can probably find it somewhere with real measurements!.  But it is so easy, one of those ones I can make without looking at the instructions over and over and everyone loves.  I cannot wait to make them, after typing about it!

Scarier stuff every day.

Opinions on bedroom windows...

I am bringing this up from a thread below since I would like to get some opinions. I have room darkening shades that I have stapled right onto the trim but it does not work quite as well as I would have hoped. I have not found a way to block it so that no light comes in at all. I have blankets over the curtain rod and blankets laying across the top because of the light that comes in at the top.

Also he runs a fan to block daytime noise and so it causes the blankets to move and flutter.

Here is an idea I had but would have to figure out how to build it. Window cornice(?) that would cover the entire window. Four 2x4s long enough to box in the window completely and piece of plywood over it, cover with fabric of some kind (curtainy)and install it on the window. I would also like to figure out a way to make it removable so during the days he's not in there I would have natural light. I was even thinking I could insulate the inside of the box.

I am looking for any and all opinions. Even the littlest light in there bothers him.

I think you have a conflict between windows and iTunes...
probably, Windows Media Player is set as the default. I use iTunes, and when I installed it, I set it as my default player, and I only use iTunes for all of my music "work" on the computer. Try putting a regular music CD into your computer. You might get a message with a list of programs to play the CD. Select iTunes, and there should also be a little checkbox that says something like "set as default" or "only use this program for this type of file" Something like that.

Once you get it going, you should simply be able to drag the music you want right over to your iPod on the left side of the screen in iTunes and just drop it in.

When I first got my iPod, I also had problems. It's very frustrating! My husband gave it to me for a birthday gift, and I was so frustrated that I threatened to just throw the thing out (iPod, not husband). Now, however, I think that the iPod is the best thing to happen since man walked on the moon! Just wait until you start subscribing to podcasts!
oh, and open windows to air out home...

gotta change that air sometime........LOL

and when windows are opened, central a/c is off....

gotta be careful with mold/mildew.....which thankfully have never had in 30 years in s. fla....

have been for 30 years - tho do open windows

to listen to the birds before the world arises...but now we don't have to - they're chirping at 2 a.m.

LOL

We had new windows put in our house over the summer so
we now need to stain all of them. Ugh. We did not want vinyl inside, because our moulding and doors are all wood. This should be fun. Have to try to match the exisiting woodwork. At least I will be busy this winter.
Replace the windows in your house.
If you have an old house, you probably have a ton of air escaping through your old windows. The initial cost will be a good chunk of cash, but it will be worth it from years of energy savings to come.
I found this one for a creamy version. never tried it, but it sounds good. sm

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

Time: 1 hour 15 minutes

2 tablespoons butter
1 cup cottage cheese (not lowfat)
2 cups milk (not skim)
1 teaspoon dry mustard
Pinch cayenne
Pinch freshly grated nutmeg
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 pound sharp or extra-sharp cheddar cheese, grated
½ pound elbow pasta, uncooked.

1. Heat oven to 375 degrees and position an oven rack in upper third of oven. Use 1 tablespoon butter to butter a 9-inch round or square baking pan.

2. In a blender, purée cottage cheese, milk, mustard, cayenne, nutmeg and salt and pepper together. Reserve ¼ cup grated cheese for topping. In a large bowl, combine remaining grated cheese, milk mixture and uncooked pasta. Pour into prepared pan, cover tightly with foil and bake 30 minutes.

3. Uncover pan, stir gently, sprinkle with reserved cheese and dot with remaining tablespoon butter. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes more, until browned. Let cool at least 15 minutes bef

I like this song. Dolly Parton first recorded it and I like her version much better.

Did anyone load the new Int. Explorer 7 in your windows update yet.

With those big leaded-glass windows the builders put
in, it's kind of hard to hide when the lights are on inside and you are in the LR. If I'm in my office and DH isn't in the LR either, I just peak out to see who it is. I may have to replace that dumb front door, but the window in the door is the only window in the living room. Stoopid builders.
Still keeping the windows open, even at night
Here in So. Indiana, we are finally past the heat wave and really having some enjoyable weather.. but are still desperate for some rain. Won't even thinking about burning any wood in the stove until December.
45 here; heat on or windows open today? (nm)

There is a free version of Efax that does not require a credit card. sm
Are you needing to fax out, in, or both? You didn't clearly state, but said you needed a number. I receive faxes for free through efax, but haven't sent any that way. Never have I given them credit card info. Check out myfax.com.

It's anybody's guess
I hope it's Sanjaya, but three people forgot the words to their songs. My guess is maybe Brandon (one who forgot the words). With the exception of Lahisha, Melinda and Blake, I am not impressed with this years singers at all. It's one of the worst seasons for me.
Just old, I guess :(

I guess

...that's why I gave up on Christianity.  Jesus' message was beautiful and loving for the most part, but the religion has become inundated with intolerance and condemnation and even damnation.  Religion world-wide is too much of a trigger for war and violence and I'm not sure how it got twisted into its present form(s).  Well, let me take that back -- it seems as long as there has been religion humans have been fighting and killing each other over it, which is a sad advertisement for a particular religion, unfortunately.

To quote from a favorite folksong, I'm willing to "let the mystery be."

no, actually, i guess i don't. (nm)

Well, I have 8, so I guess not . . .

and, if I had it to do over again, I would do exactly the same!  My youngest will be two in June, and my oldest has two of his own.  Yes, we have quite an age spread there.    Our 2-year-old is the joy of our lives.  One little laugh or even a smile from him, and everything else seems to pale in importance.  He's a great little de-stressor.

As I have always told my children, "Friends come and go, but familes are forever."

I guess it's not who you know, but who you ?
not funny
Hey, guess what???
Still havent called… I asked if anyone else had done this. I don’t live in terror that I will fall over, have my own blood pressure cuff. I can ask if others have done this without showing up at the emergency room....
Guess you were never a kid?
As long as she's smart, then she should be able to stay out.  Now if she's going to be all night, she should have the courtesy to let her mother know.  I've been in that situation where I had to pay rent to my parents once I was that age.  They didn't have a curfew for me, but I was considerate enough to let them know when I'd be out all night or staying with a friend.  According to tradition, the female child does not move out until she's courted and then gets married?  I think the OP should cut the girl a break and let her make some decisions on her own.
Are they all like that? I guess that's what I really want to know
x
LOL - I guess they run out often!!

I guess it should go to you, then, b/c you know what
Ahhh, the arrogance. You should be careful! lol
