Great post! I was a latchkey kid - turned out very well as did my 3 brothers. Not one arrest, no alcohol or drug abuse, no deviant behavior of any kind. Because we were latchkey kids (back in the 50s when most moms were at home), we were more responsible than most kids our age. All my brothers are great husbands because they do housework and don't expect to be patted on the back for it - it's part of life.
