his right to determine what is and what is not a "sin" for HIM? Is he also not free to determine that the relationship is irreversibly doomed because it got off on the wrong foot? Do you think a therapist can or should talk him out of that? Is that a better way to launch into part 2 of the affair?
It is possible, since he clearly stated it was "the hadest thing he ever did," that he is not and will not get past the pain it caused for both of them. Why does wanting a fresh start make him into a Mr. Milquetoast who needs therapy?
Bottom line here. If it's not right for HIM, then it's not right for THEM.

Wouldn't gluten-free be tough to do?
But it would certainly be a huge convenience for people who shouldn't have gluten. I wonder how many people are even able to be compliant with a gluten-free diet.
Does that include
saline spray? My mom swears by it. Have you tried stuff like Rhinocort, the steroid spray stuff? My MD recommends those. You can try getting off milk and other dairy products and drink water instead of soft drinks. You could try cutting sugar out.
I do occasionally read that sinus infections can be caused by a fungal infection. In fact I also read there is a theory that that's why so many people have asthma these days. They think the high-powered antibiotics are causing fungus, and the fungus is causing asthma. I read that on the Pharma-Lexicon website.
I certainly would include them both, why not

like they are a part of a bad movie not really understanding the plot and worried about what is going to happen to them. I have an adjustment disorder and panic situation all my life as a result. When you feel the floor falling out from under you it is a frightening situation. Just make them feel as secure as possible. That is the main thing. Tell them over and over it has nothing to do with them. Kids tend to blame themselves. I don't know the ages of your children, but young ones particularly take it on themselves. I told my dad the night it really fell apart that if I had been a better daughter this would not have happened. Obviously, that was not an accurate statement. I was sitting in a chair unable to walk listening to a terrible fight and my mom telling him she hated him. No one should have memories like that. My parents were good people. They felt overwhelmed and that is what happened. We needed family counseling. Good luck to you, dear.

Businesses refusing to include Christmas in advertising.
What? No Christmas? I just don't get it. For years, businesses have advertised Christmas, but now, ewww, don't even THINK of saying the word, ***CHRISTMAS***, for you might get THAT LOOK from someone who is ewwwww offended. Offended? Give me a break! I am supposed to accept every other religious nuance with open arms, but if I say MERRY CHRISTMAS these days, I get a very negative knee jerk response. I'm sick of it. So, I'm doing something about it, just like I did last year. So, here goes...
TARGET - you're IN. I'll shop at your store because you are including Christmas in your advertising.
WALMART - you're OUT. Not only are you not advertising Christmas, your snarky response to my email simply questioning your intentions really turned me off . I also won't be shopping at your other company SAM'S CLUB either! UPDATE - WALMART HAS ANNOUNCED 11/9 THAT THEY WILL BE INCLUDING CHRISTMAS IN THEIR ADVERTISING AND ADMIT THAT THEY MADE A MISTAKE. SEE LINK HERE AND BELOW! http://tinyurl.com/yd9gx9
KOHL'S - You're IN. The letter you sent was very respectful and I appreciate that you will be including Christmas in your advertising.
SEARS - You're OUT. Kwanzaa? You actually used Kwanzaa as a reason for not advertising Christmas? Diverse cultures? Afraid you're going to offend other religious beliefs? Do you have a CLUE that Christianity is the NUMBER 1 religious belief system in America?
DILLARDS - You're IN. Discover Christmas. Discover Dillards. Good job.
LOWE'S - You're IN. Glad you smartened up and changed your sign from Holiday Trees to Christmas Trees...DUH!
MACY'S - You're IN. Thank you for allowing your employees to now say Merry Christmas and for placing advertisements in your stores, television, online, and print ads.
VICTORIA'S SECRET - You're IN. Christmas trees and music in your stores? What a novel concept. Kudos.
As of this writing, other stores as of last year not advertising Christmas are Kroger, Dell, Office Max, Walgreens, Staples, and J.C. Penney. I'm doing research to find out if they've smartened up and changed their position. I will post as I find out more information.
What it all comes down to, folks, is that these businesses CAN advertise Christmas. Christmas was here FIRST, but fat cat corporations are trying to lump all religious holidays together into one even though they don't fall on December 25! Does any of this make sense? People generally don't buy Thanksgiving gifts, but Thanksgiving is advertised. Hmmm. Interesting concept, isn't it?
Some readers may not like what I have to say and to them, I say...oh well. I believe in what I believe. In my opinion, there should be no reason to be offended by Christmas. If you celebrate a holiday other than Christmas, when it rolls around, celebrate it will a full heart! I sure am!

Heads up! The Gab board is for general discussion not to include MT, Religion, or Politics.
This was put into place when we very first set up the Gab board. We have a Christianity, Conservatives, and Liberals forum that you can post on. But, let me be clear. I do not condone trashing of anyone's religious preference and neither should you. I expect posts on any of these forums to be respectful (that does NOT mean we are censoring, there IS a difference). This is NOT open for debate. These are the rules. If you can't respect them, you don't need to post here.
I have a life, a great life at that. I just happen to include my canine family

An exercise to try

Have you got a dog?
I've got a 120 pound Great Pyrenees (kinda looks like a polar bear). I run/walk with him a coupla times a day...before my 6 a.m.shift, lunch time, after my shift is usually the longest walk, then again before bedtime...We just wander around the woods....If he smells a squirrel fart and I'm not looking directly at him he'll trip me up or pull me in a ditch/sinkhole. Also have a 12 lb cat that walks with us and tries to "sneak" the dog (hides in the bushes and darts out sitcking his tongue out as if to say "Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah! You're on a string and I'm not!). Keeps ya on your toesI

Get some exercise
It will help tremendously. I start to get tired if I go more than a day or two without running on my treadmill or hitting the weights at the gym. It will help tremendously. As someone else said, it might not be a bad idea to get your thyroid checked out.
Looking for music to exercise by - sm
I received an iTunes gift card for Christmas and am looking for music I can download to my iPod to exercise by. I'd really like exercise-specific music that includes a slower song or two for the warmup, then a steady faster rhythm for 30 minutes or so and then another slower song for the cooldown.
I suppose I could create my own list, but it would take me way too long to figure out 30 minutes' worth of songs with the same basic rhythm!
Any help sure would be appreciated. I'm so tired of feeling guilty every time I walk past the treadmill that I just "had" to have.
The exercise thing is probably right on...
I have had oodles of tests to rule out thyroid, anemia, and even Lupus and Lyme. I did get something positive on the connective-tissue studies but never followed up on it because of financial issues and not feeling all that crappy to worry about it. However, now that you mention it, I did feel better when I was walking down my road in the warmer weather, so that may be it! I do get exercise doing chores, but it's a different kind of exercise...not the "me" kind I guess you could say. I've got some DVD by Leslie Sansone that does a mile or 2 miles and I think I'll give it a go. Can't hurt, right?
Thank you so much for the advice! Always helps to have a second set of eyes to look at something in a new way! It's much appreciated!
exercise question
I am 48 years old, been sitting on my rear for years doing MT. I have exercised for years, but always sporadically. I don't need to lose weight, just need to tone. I'm so flabby, it's disgusting. I have recently taken up walking/jogging, but admit I can only jog for about a minute, then have to go back down to walking, then after I've caught my breath, can start jogging again, and so it goes until I've done 2 miles. I'm hoping to build up my endurance to run farther soon. My question is, is this really a good overall exercise to help me tone? I'm also using free weights for my arms, and I can actually see a little bit of a change, but it's happening very slowly, which of course is to be expected as it took them a long time to become unconditioned. Anybody have any advice? Thanks!
exercise question
Thank you very much! I appreciate the tip.
How much exercise have you had in the last 3 weeks?
The kind of exercise where your rib cage actually has to expand as far as it can go?
That kind of exercise causes relaxation, and relaxation is an antidote for anxiety attacks.
I was also helped by learning relaxation with biofeedback and I also take Effexor. Not everybody can take that though.
I sit on exercise ball .... sm
and I balance just fine with foot pedal. I dont' sit here for eight hours on my ball. Sometimes I switch out my chair and my ball. Just depends on how my bottom is feeling. I too sometimes sit with my leg folded under my other leg while working, but that's not good for your veins. I have really bad vericose veins (that's another story!)
good luck!

Exercise tapes or CDs
Does anyone use any exercise tapes at home that they like? Thinking of getting one but there are so many. I need to tone.
I know diet and exercise are important as
well as cutting out sugars, bread, etc. I'm doing that and have been for a while. Please keep your comments to yourself. I'm asking a simple question about a "certain named product"- is it that difficult to answer without stating your "opinions" or telling me what supplement you use? I don't remember asking for your recommendations?
Do strict low carb of 20 a day and exercise -
That weight will come off and you will be well on your way by August if you do cardio exercise and also do weightlifting. I lost 20 pounds on low carb 4 years ago and have kept it off, though I normally eat around 50 carbs a day now and NO refined carbs whatsoever. You have plenty of time. You can do it!!!
Poll time ....do you exercise? sm
I make sure that I walk at least 1 mile 3 times a week. It's not as much as I should exercise but it beats nothing. What about you?
you will not lose weight without exercise.

Same one every year - exercise & eat healthier!

I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this. Exercise. sm
Okay. I am overweight by about 30 pounds. A week ago I got back on the treadmill and started walking/jogging for about 20-30 minutes - 5 days a week. This is week 2. I'm very motivated. Will get on the treadmill in a few minutes. I'm not seeing any results. haha Don't laugh. I know it's early, but here's my question and dilemma. I have NO desire to change my eating habits. None. Zilch. In fact, don't tell me I have to do it because I won't. I don't eat a whole lot, I just eat whatever I want. I don't eat late - not after 6, usually. I do like an occasional Coke. I like chocolate. I otherwise eat healthy, but until Jan of this year I have done NOTHING in the way of exercise for years. Just kept having kids and sitting on my bum.
When can I start seeing results and do you think that I can see results by working out this much and NOT changing my eating habits. It's a psychological thing. I can't do it right now. I just can't. And what makes it worse (the eating part) is when I fail (which is EVERY time) I beat myself up afterwards and feel worse than before. With this jog/walking thing, I feel GREAT. I feel more energy already and I actually am enjoying the time alone doing it.
Anyone have experience with this?
They say "If your dog is fat, you're not getting enough exercise!" :) sm
I have a somewhat-tubby Border Collie and a normal Australian Shepherd. Aussies are "self-feeders", meaning they only eat when they're truly hungry, but the Border Collie would eat a cow if she could get her mitts on one. I need to get a handle on her diet, I know.
I walk them, but it's prolly not aerobic enough. We stagger down the street from bush to bush and I can see my neighbors shaking their heads, saying "He must drink, my dear. Oh, yass. Probably mops the stuff up. Why, just look at him stumbling around, right out in public! Poor Mrs. TechSupport - she must have the patience of a saint!"
Exercise really helps. At least an hour a day. Gets those
