have about 180 minutes of dictation to do.......interuptions galore over the weekend so hard to work! Hope to watch the game though, we will see, definitely watching half-time as I love Tom Petty and have since I was 12! (so 30 years). Cannot wait for that especially since not sure if I will go to see him on his upcoming tour as he is coming to my area on a Sunday and kids want to go too, but they would have school the next day and the show is about 90 minutes away from me. So not sure what I am going to do yet.

You are working your butt off...
so I don't see how you could possibly fit anymore working hours into your day. Financial gurus usually say cut back on something or sell something. Only you know if that is possible or not.
However, I would just say there is no shame in asking for help, be it counseling, medicaid, food stamps, like someone mentioned church or charities, food banks, etc. You are hardworking and having been paying into the system. Why not ask for help until you can get back on your feet?
Sending (((hugs))) and prayers for you and your family.

Sorry to butt in on your conversation...
But, I have very severe muscle pain and twitching and have been very interested in trying biofeedback to try to relax the muscles when they cramp. Can you tell me how/where you learned this?
Thanks!
Count my butt in too!
I'm in Iowa and it's hard to find atheists who will come out of the closet here.

Have you ever been to a doctor's office and the nurse asks you some pertinent information, and you might say "I have had a TAH&BSO" or a D&C, and the nurse will say "What is that?" I just freak, I know I have been doing this for 20+ years, but sometimes I wonder if the nurse is really a nurse- yes I know some can be aids or physician taught, but I think I would just take the info down, reassure the patient and find out what it was when I left the room.
Yes I have tried to tell a doctor who may be filling in for my reg doc what has helped with migraines and severe back problems, and I swear they will give me something totally different because they think I am drug seeking. If they would just really listen or look at what you do on the occupation sheet which they make you fill out, things might go a little smoother in everyone's life.
All I can say is stay on her butt as long
as you have to. I started smoking when I was 15 and I wish someone would have stopped me cause quitting was the hardest thing to do in my life! Honestly, smoking takes over a person's life and I read once that they compare cigarette addiction to being as strong as heroin addiction. I believe it.
By the way, she was probably just ripping off the filter to make the cigarette stronger. I remember trying that a couple of times.
So sorry to be such a big pain in the butt. I'm the gal lwho sm
lost 2 family members within 10 minutes of each other Monday night. I'm suffering from severe depression right now. Can't function. Called insurance to see what I could do about psychiatric help - they gave me 4 different numbers, and none of them can see me before May or June! Can you believe it? Even when I tell them about my suffering. It doesn't matter. haha Actually, it isn't even close to funny.
The only other option I have is my GYN doc. I don't have a family physician as he retired and I never looked for another one. So, I went through the phone book, called 2 FP docs and they can't see me either for a while. I need help right now, I believe. Would this warrant and ER visit, you think? It's embarrassing, but I can't function - I took my house phone to my son's baseball game on Tuesday thinking I grabbed my cell. I went out to lunch with a friend yesterday afternoon. Upon leaving the restaurant 2 HOURS LATER I could not find my keys. Told me friend, "Oh well, I guess I left them in the car! Hopefully I didn't lock them in there!" What happened next floored me and my friend. My car was still running! Not only did I leave the keys in the car, I DIDN'T EVEN TURN THE FRIGGIN THING OFF!!
I cried and cried. I have 2 small children at home and I am a little concerned. My husband is pretty much useless. He didn't even take a day off from work. It took him 30 minutes to get out of bed the night of that dreadful phone call. I'm pretty much sick of him too right now.
What would you do? Please help me.
The first and last ones are butt-ugly, but the black
ESL docs have got to be the funniest!
I have one who always says "patient lives alone at home by himself." Another one seems beyond being able to use correct medical terminology for bodily functions. All his patients "poop" and "pee." The kids also have "snotty noses."
They say docs won't treat them?
geez, I'm afraid...
You would be surprised what docs can
get away with in a hospital setting. Been there.
It is not a tooma. (its a badonka donk butt)

Warren Butt, MD is a very good proctologist
Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit - sm
All this time I thought they were the same thing because at the roadside stand it said "cracklin pork", so I just thought it must be pork skins like I see in the store (and yes, they are with the potato chips). Guess this AL transplant has not even known there was a difference. Thanks for clearing that up. All I know is I cannot stand the sight or smell of either of them.
don't believe the docs....Jerry Lewis has this
Sorry for your news and I know this doesn't answer your question (yet), but I have to say just because an MD says someone has used up 2 out of 5....doesn't make it sure that's going to happen.....many people live beyond what the doctors say.....
Jerry Lewis has pulmonary fibrosis and was a mess a few years ago (and IS aging) but is doing much better he said in comparison to that time....
As for what I'd want to do? Just be with the ones I love the most and do some traveling........making sure to say the things to the loved ones prior to my demise...in other words, making sure I got it all out and cleared all the air if there might be air to clear.......and so that all questions from everyone would be answered prior to my demise, to leave nobody with unanswered questions about just about anything and everything....
Reminder: MDs are not god(s)......they have been wrong....they told my friend her father had *6 months to live max*, and he lived on another 3+ years....
My docs seem to be playing catch-up. I see it as

I know, most docs really don't adequately warn you (sm)
I went from having a moderately light, 4 day period, to having a very heavy 7 day period! I also had a lot of the other symptoms associated with post tubal ligation syndrome. I wish I had done more research first! I think it is better for him to have a vasectomy - far, far easier and less recovery time too.
Docs need to warn more about complications sm
Docs sometimes do not explain complications of drug interactions, they are way too rushed. Also, the drugs were prescribed in another country. The label on the Xanax said 2 mg, not strong enough to kill anyone. Lots of side effects from Ambien, although used correctly, it's a wonder drug. First time I was bluntly told I had "cancer" and needed surgery "yesterday" I couldn't sleep and Ambien 5 mg was a lifesaver to me, I went to sleep within minutes and woke up refreshed with no ill effects, it is a wonder drug to me, but many in my community have gotten into trouble with the law from mixing it with alcohol and doing terrible things. It sounds like this person was very distraught and it was an accident, pure and simple. He was a talented person who was going through so much pain. He loved his little girl so much, it must have been heart wrenching for him. I am not going to judge him, I just hope he and his family can be at peace if that is at all possible in this cruel world (for the family) and in the next (for him). God bless them all!
I think if they penalized the docs signing off
fewer people getting it. I worked an oncology office and we had people all the time wanting these forms filled out. Yes, some were legitimate, but the majority were people with anemia, thrombocytopenia or status post their cancers in complete remission. My doc never signed unless the person absolutely was entitled to it. I think if more docs got a backbone and quit signing off on these, you'd see a lot less people getting disability.
It's the normal instinct for Americans to "take what they can get", but what excuse do the docs have for signing off on it?
First off, what kinds of tests have the docs run???....sm
When my son Adam was 14, he came down with severe aches, light sensitivity, sore throat off and on, EXTREME FATIGUE, etc. His doctor suspected mono and did a Monospot to check this out, complete white count with diff, and also EB virus serologies. and Yup, he did have mono, it took a couple of months to get him over the worst. Lots of rest, good eating habits, and multivitamins is all you can do until the virus gets erradicated. And no contact sports or heavy activities, because the spleen gets very enlarged during mono and they worry about rupture with a blow, etc.
If no tests have been done, I would get a good pediatrician ASAP who will do a CBC with diff, white count, sed rate, UA, EBV serologies and Monospot, and get him diagnosed!! The ear thing may or may not be a part of this, could be a concurrent illness on its own, but if he has been this sick this long, "guessing" at the etiology is wasting time, you need to know for sure what exactly is wrong with your son to treat him properly.
Not trying to be an alarmist, but have raised two and my third is 11 right now so have been through the Streps, pneumonias, my third baby was born with vesicoureteral reflux and needed prophylactic antibiotics the first year of life (he outgrew it right after that, thank God, but we spent 8 days of he!! in the hospital as they put the 3-week old through spinal taps and ALL TYPES of tests, two weeks in hospital with my little girl at 5 years with severe double pneumonia, etc!). Hopefully, if it is mono/EBV, he will recover really quickly, but YOU also need to put your mind at rest, too! Take good care of each other, and update us, okay??? God Bless
It is rude to ask someone if they are married. If they offer fine, if not, butt out. SM
Being married does not justify a person's worth, neither does having or not having kids. If you are happy, that is all that matters.
Don't feel bad, I had a 30 year miserable marriage and only stayed married for the sake of my daughter.
I'm in a ten year long relationship with a special man, but I will say, if anything happens to this relationship, there will not be another. Too much weird stuff out there.
Not to butt in but what's great about green bean casserole?
I made it once and it went in the garbage. It was horrible. Every year I tell hubby I'm going to try it again (jokingly of course) and he always says "The h--- you will!!!"
So much for that.
Most docs stink these days. And they think everyone is a hypochondriac
if they can't figure out what you have. Good luck to you and I hope you feel better and you find a decent doctor (good luck with that too!)
but I do believe fibro can be a catchall diagnosis when docs can't (sm)
figure out what's wrong with you!
As an active dieter, you officially have my pity! (But you will have a small butt than me).....sm
The salmon cakes sound so yummy, love seafood, I usually make crab cakes, will try the salmon, do you make it essentially the same way? thanks!
I hate when the docs say foul smelling diarrhea
when does diarrhea ever not smell foul??? I also hate when they say creamy white sputum - makes me throw up in my mouth a little.
Older than stated age, pendulous breasts, and docs who...
use elderly for anyone under 70!
Please understand, being that you are younger than how long I have smoked, docs
used to ENCOURAGE it - I am sure others can remember. Doc sitting with a pack of cigarettes in his shirt pocket and suggesting it for best stress reliever. Do I blame them? No, not at all. I truly feel that cancer is such a huge money machine that medicine would be hurting poorly if a cure was actually found (or disclosed). And, as you have not smoked before, you are entirely correct in that you cannot understand.
Sandra Bernhard, one of Madonna's good friends, and butt ugly, too?!! nm

I hear wrong dosages all day long from nurses who dictate for docs -
Maybe they are just misspeaking, maybe they really do not know? Really alarming!!!
Are you NUTS?
"Weddings are very expensive. Mine was over 10000 a while back and if all 60 or so couples brought me a "gift" I would have been VERY upset. Sorry but it's true. "
Whoa. I got heart palpitations with that one. You spend what you, or whoever is paying, can afford, you do not expect your guests to help defray the cost of your wedding choices. You can HOPE that may be the case, but to expect it and be upset if the guests didn't fork over enough $$ is pretty shallow and has nothing to do with the whole reason everyone is there. Champagne taste on a beer budget is not your guests problem. A gift is a GIFT. It is not an expectation, nor is it an obligation. It is something given out of desire.
Weddings for so many are all about the 4-hour event, the dress, the music, the decorations, the venue, blah, blah, blah. Anyone remember WHY you are having that event? You invite your guests to share in your joy, not to write a check out to pay off the caterer.
Think about what the guest went through to be there for you on your special day. A new outfit, maybe a babysitter/petsitter, forgoing all other plans, maybe losing a day's pay, the drive there, all for you. Then you expect them to fork over a minimum of $25. Their presence should be more appreciated than their presents, for that is worth more than any dollar amount.
"I think most people who bring gifts are the ones who don't want to spend much or don't want people to know what they spent but that's just my opinion."
I can't even respond to that 'cause I'm trying to ward off the impending stroke.
This looks a lot like it - except it did not have nuts. TY!!!

I would tell MIL that she is nuts for doing that - sm
I have done quite a few ER reports on people who have been in accidents on ATV's, plus my mom had a friend whose son (16)was killed on one (on his birthday, he'd just gotten it). My DH keeps trying to get us one, I keep saying no way. I don't have a problem with a go-kart as it is low to the ground and would have a rollcage. But taking a 9-month old baby on that shows a serious lack of common sense. Does she take the baby in the car w/o a car seat? ( Mine would have if I had ever even let them have my kids, but they have no commom sense either hence I only ever have allowed supervised "visits" with them). Your job is to protect your children, if she was ever hurt because you allowed this to keep going on you would never forgive yourself. Put your foot down now before something bad happens. As for having someone watch her while you cut the grass, hello, why cannot your husband cut the grass??? Or if you MIL is so deperate to ride something, have her come over and cut the grass and put her on the tractor. So between the stupidity of her taking a baby on an ATV and the obvious damage to the baby's hearing which will be permanent-- I'd tell her to cut it out now and if you find out she is still doing it anyway, no more leaving her with grandma, plain and simple.
She is nuts...sm
If I had just had 8 babies and had an offer for professional nursing care 24 hours a day I would be like "What time can you be here?" How in the he!! does she think she is going to take care of them? I think the state needs to step in here and do something.
10k is nuts
Someone is taking you for a ride. You could get 1 from either of these and easily get a decent sale price for it private party.

any golf nuts out there?
Caught the golf bug about a year ago and watch almost every tournament on TV. Am going to the Open next month. Sooo excited, have never been to a tournament before and am so looking forward to seeing all my favorite players. Anybody have experience at a tournament, any tips? Thanks.
wonder if it gets the complimentary bag of nuts, too. lol

I don't think your nuts. In fact...
I just noticed my back STOPPED itching. I had an itchy back for the longest time...always rubbing against doorways like a crazed grizzly bear rubbing on a tree trunk, using a coat hanger to scratch myself, bathroom towel, you name it.
I think what was causing my problem was my chair! Whatever the fabric was on it was causing my back to get really heated and probably caused it to sweat and caused the itchies. I have a new chair and it just dawned onto me that I don't itch anymore! Well, I mean aside from the usual wintertime dryness, but nothing like before.
Anyway, it's just a thought. By the way, I'm jealous that you have Valium. Always wanted to try the stuff but no one likes to prescribe it anymore it seems. I just down some cheap wine instead. Works just as well I guess.
Hope you get some relief soon!
I know it is nuts but true
Plus, that includes labor, not just the price of the engine.
No you are not nuts, just what iffing yourself - sm
and you know most people your age are out at the bars on the weekend, hanging out with friends, meeting new guys, etc. Part of the reason I have told my kids to wait until they are at least 25 to get married. Sounds like you have a good life though, don't blow it thinking something better is out there. Maybe you can have a girl's night out once a week or twice a month or whatever to break up your routine. Sounds like you are afraid of getting into a rut. I have been married for 13 years now and see how our marriage has evolved from being on our own to two years, then having two kids, and the changes the years have brought to our lives. I don't do nearly as much as I did when the kids were little because I work more now, which I need to change. I go out with friends when I visit my family, it is my only time I get out without my DH, though my neighbor and I have been discussing going out, we still haven't, need to do it and say to the guys, we are going out, see you later! You are just a little restless and bored, and there is much you can do without compromising your marriage over it, get some new interests, do something new with your DH, do the girl's night out every now and then, try bowling, whatever. ---I have an ex-boyfriend whose wife (who had been my best friend until she started dating my ex--her choice not mine) decided after being married 4 months that she was not ready for marriage (after two years of dating and living together). He cried on my shoulder about what happened, she wanted to party every weekend (and did with her friends leaving him home alone), he was more of a homebody. They were both 23 at the time. So they were divorced after a 4-month marriage. After that he always wanted me to meet his serious girlfriends. Happy to say he is happily married to a girl who kind of looks like me though 10 years younger (she did not like that when she met me, has not been friendly to me since then-- doesn't understand I never wanted him "back") and has twins with her. He is in CA now so I have not seen him in a while but glad he found happiness. Believe me you don't want to toss your marriage due to restlessness and apparently a 2 year itch.
Poor kid; two nuts for parents :(

Mine is exactly the same way, drives me nuts- sm
He does not understand why I can't keep a picture perfect house. He was raised by a neat freak so he thinks I should keep the house like his mom, immaculate. Not. We are not living in squalor by any means, but it can get messy quick with 2 kids and 2 dogs. Apparently no one but me knows to take dirty dishes to the sink, etc. Granted the house does need an overall/good cleaning/organizing, but help in not making it any worse would be appreciated. The kids help some and are slowly getting better, but there is still a lot I have to do myself and just don't have the time to do. Seriously thinking of hiring a housekeeper/cleaning service for either twice monthly or weekly cleaning. I still need to declutter but that would make my life a lot easier. Maybe you could do the same and hire someone to clean twice a month. I just wish I could take off for 2 weeks and get done around here what needs doing. I will probably take a week off of one job after school starts up again which will leave my days basically clear so maybe, just maybe I can get a few things done around here that need doing!
Nuts..wouldn''t open for me. nm

Yeah, only the nuts go that early; I get up about 8 and go then - sm
my neighbor is going at 4, I told her she was nuts. I don't go to get anything specific though, I just go for fun. I am pretty much done shopping already for the kids, just need stocking stuffers and a few gift cards and I will be totally done. Most of the early bird sales last until noon or 1 p.m. so why kill yourself.
What?? Sounds completely nuts!
These poor children should be taken out of this crazy situation. Sounds like something out of an x-rated movie with little kids in the middle of something that should be rated M for mature audiences only. I can just imagine what they will have to listen to when they're tucked into their little beds trying to sleep. Where are the grownups in all this? Sorry, but feel sorry for no one but the kids. Who would put up with this nonsense?? Kids deserve better. Get them out of there.
3-way stops drive me nuts --
we have 1 at the end of our block. When returning home, I am always on the street that doesn't have to stop. Unfortunately, I do have to turn left from that street and for some reason the people across from me, waiting at the stop sign to come straight through, seem to think that they have the right-of-way.
They have a stop sign. I do not. If I don't put on my turn signal, they may think that I'm going to straight and will start through anyway and end up hitting me. If I do put on my turn signal, they think I should have to stop.
It drives me nuts. They may as well make it a 4-way stop.
