Exercise, take a walk, jumping jacks, crack your window, do something

Wouldn't exercise work just as well? My arms tone up

It is a lot of work - my story (I'll try and make it short)
First let me say I'm happy that you have a marriage that you don't feel you need to work at it. Wish I could say the same. Been married 26 years and it has been work on my part this whole time. We knew each other 2 weeks before marrying (yes one of those crazy and spontaneous moments I didn't think ahead as to how it would affect my life), but "for better or worse" I made it 26 years with him. I have had to work at this the whole time. Learn to say I'm sorry when I don't do anything wrong, learn to accept him never saying I'm sorry because "I'm a man and it's hard for us to say we're sorry", work at keeping my mouth shut when he is going off about something, work at juggling work, paying bills, doing laundry, grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, and doing it all. This has been a lot of work and I wish I could have had someone tell me how much work it was going to be - I would have thought twice. I can't see where any marriage is never work. I've given up a lot and kept my mouth shut, and worked at keeping my feelings to myself on a lot of issues (avoids the two hour arguments because I don't feel the same exact way as he does on certain issues). I've worked at not getting angry at him, and I'm still working at it.

So I am happy for you, but there are us out there that do have to work a lot in our marriages (or at least at keeping our sanity).
Do you get dressed to work or stay in PJ type of stuff? Sometimes that
s
Thanks everyone! I am swamped with work due to inability to stay still for long. sm
To the one who stated you sit on the exercise ball, do you not have any trouble balancing with the footpedal? I think that would probably help me, but am curious with the footpedal.

To the one who said it gets worse when you sit with your leg under you.....OMG, I sit with my leg under me ALL the time as I thought that was helping to take pressure off my low back/buttocks. I will try that. Thanks so much. My mom even teases me because when I drive, I prop my left leg up beside me.

I have been having this on/off severe pain for 6 months now. Been to ER x3 and doc x2 to no avail other than a Medrol Dosepak seemed to help a few weeks and then back again. I have taken Flexeril and Parafon Forte, which I think helps some. But I am to the point I am taking pain meds q. 2-3 hours as it gets so bad I have to and I am not one to take meds either, never have been. That is driving me insane to be "popping" pills all the time.

My pain is to the left of my spine. I used to have tailbone pain, but have not in some time. This pain now and for past 6 months is in like the dimple of my buttocks area and I have said from day one that it "felt like" it was in my bone there. Like I said, I have iced/heated, etc. to not much avail. I did find some SI exercises on the net, which I did a few the day before and the day after that I was in excrutiating pain so I think it made me worse, but I also read if not fixed or healed it can make them worse. So how do I know without going to a doc? I have no insurance and finances are very tight right now. Has anyone ever used a chiropractor with help? Does it sound SI related to those of you that do experience it? I mean some days I am bawling and doubling over in pain and I have an extremely high tolerance for pain, natural childbirth x4.

To the one who said you have problems when the SI is out of place....How do you know it is out of place? I feel mine is definitely out of place since it does not get any better and fluctuates daily in severity. Would a chiropractor be able to get it back in place?

Thanks everyone and so sorry for the long post, I am just desperately needing help with very little funds here and getting way behind on work.
Anyone ever get any of those tiny little red spots on face that look like little blood vessel bursts
but they are flat.  What can you do about that.
short arms, short-term memory loss...
I too suffer from Short Arm Syndrome. Add to that the short-term memory loss that middle-age brings and I have now discovered I need to lasso the &*%$ reading glasses around my neck or my day will be spent wandering in circles asking the dog where my glasses are.

I have two pairs, per advice of doctor. I do not wear glasses all the time, so he thought I was not ready for bifocals. My son gave me a wonderful eyeglass case for Christmas that is big enough to hold both pairs should I ever venture out of the house amongst the living.

I did manage to find some "sporty" looking around-the-neck-eye glass holder thingies - what DO you call those things? I'd use twine before getting those multicolored beaded ones. I have a neon coral one and an emerald green one. Too bad I can't find the former, I can't remember where I put it.
For the jumping --
My friends had a dog tht jumped constantly and we started just turning our backs to him every time he would try to jump on us. Everyone was instructed to do him that way every time. At the same time, the man of the house would harshly scold him. It took a while but finally he learned not to jump on people and he is a delight to be around now.
Jumping rope.
:o}
I will have to say no and like I said I could be jumping to conclusions.
The only way I could loan her money it to put it on a CC. We just spent most of our savings on our property/school tax bill. With DH and his "business" he tried to start and all that it cost us...we are pretty tight in the savings area. He did try really hard though.

She might just want to tell me that I have to postpone my trip I was going to take to see her next month. I already thought that with my job thing and then she told me yesterday that their car died (thus the reason I think she needs a loan or something).

Ugh - my stomach hurts just thinking about it.
Wow! Talk about jumping to conclusions...

No marriage, having sex, old men, teenage girls...  That is a whole lot of opinion you are putting out there.  Have you been in another person's home, or bedroom, for that matter, lately in order to obtain this information?  I certainly hope not.

I was going to suggest taking a walk, but jumping around

Got new site but wondering, anyone jumping ship?
I saw the new site but I just do not care for it as well as I have this one. What is everyone's thoughts?
My 8 y.o. says it is Tempur-pedic. He's always fascinated with the jumping on the bed thing.

Agree with losing tail. An old cat just tends to walk around, not much jumping or

Thank you, I will try that first with the wash in
And I know what you mean about a toner and that's why I'm hesitant to go back to the salon for this. I like the sound of a golden blonde with slightly lighter highlights. Can I do that myself do you think or should I ask them to do it?
$12 for wash, cut, dry; usu tip $3

Wash your car yourself.
because their sprayers chipped a piece of paint on our car. There was already a tiny chip there, so I couldn’t really argue with them about it. You car deserves personal attention. Don’t spend $10 for a machine that can’t get dirt in areas you can.
I wash every day but
rotate between 2 or 3 different shampoos. I find that my hair does better if I change the shampoo every few days. No conditioner when I have short hair. If its longer then I need it to get a brush through it easier after. I also don't style it much at all. I think the hair dryers, curling irons, etc. really do a number on hair. If I am going somewhere or if it is cold outside I will blow dry and style it but I try to do as little as possible in the way of heat. I use hairspray every day though to help give it a little body and not end up static-y in winter.
All I know is of course they have to wash their feet
because they sure "stepped in ****" when they came to this country! :)
I simply wash most of them in the
I turn them upsidedown and swish them in a couple of inches of water. Let the water out of the tub and just let them lay there and drain OR set them outside in the sun to dry. Be careful if it is windy!
Plant wash
I run mine through a short cycle in the top rack of the dishwasher.
I would wash several times - may even
try putting baby oil in first or something - it eventually will loosen and come out if exposed to enough water.  Then maybe try to comb out.
I wash mine every other day
I have pretty short hair so I can get away with it. If I have to I can just wet it a little bit and put some gel in it and it's good to go.
I think whether or not you wash your hair

everyday has a lot to do with the type of hair you have and the type of products you use on it.  I have what I consider "normal" hair.  No perms, just colored, almost shoulder length.  When I went through the "big hair" phase, I had to wash my hair everyday just to get the products out.  Now that my hair looks more "natural", I can usually skip a day.

I only skip a day, though, when I'm not going anywhere other than the grocery store.  Whether my hair looks good or not, I don't feel good about myself unless my hair is washed and styled and makeup on.  But that's just me.

How often can she wash her face? sm

Can you imagine having to take all of those, or even 1/2, off first?  What a job.

Wash in hottest water, dry on hot that's it. nm
.
I do both ways, wash by hand and also
clean out food particles and wash in the dishwasher. I have no reservations about doing that. The only thing I don't like are family plates set on floor and animals eating out of those and reusing. Yuck.
Gently hand wash it in the sink and let air dry outside. nm

Sick of having to wash my hair EVERY day - suggestions? (sm)
I know people who do not have to do this but I have no choice.  If I skip one day of washing my hair, it looks like it has been a week and my face breaks out!!  It would save me so much time if I could skip every other day or something.  Anyone else have this problem or ideas on what to do?
Try Cetaphil. They make body wash too. nm

Wash your mouth out! Tiffany's is not garbage!
!!
Probably, but they should throw the
book at her. LOL. She will probably do a Naomi Campbell act when she had to do community service in New York City, getting all dressed up to enter the facility and coming out in her evening gown. That was pretty funny.

Or Paris if she gets community service she will probably dress and act like she did in the Simple Life, (I think that it what it was called) with Nicole Ritchie. See what happens when you have TOO much money. Probably never worked a day in her life.
No - don't throw your son under the bus!
Why would you purposely cause one family member to hate another? You need to acknowledge to your son that you understand his feelings, and you need to gently guide your husband to see the reality of his behavior, but don't tell him what your son innocently told you. Be a confident he can trust in this stressful world, and do what you need to to get your husband the help he needs.

I had a violent father, and my mother stood by and did nothing. It was just as clear to me as it is to your son that my father was mean and yelled too much (and was violent). Things family members said were always causing me to receive yet more unnecessary violence, and it was wrong of them.
what did you have to throw out after the
I had to throw out the Austin peanut butter crackers.  I heard there were around 1,800 items now on the list.
Mowing lawns, mail route, get friends together for a car wash

Deliver pizzas, work at restaurant, retail sales (Christmas coming up)....

Good luck!

Throw them in the swamp.

KIDDING!  Our municipality runs a spring/fall cleanup and has designated dates/times where we can bring "hazardous" waste such as computers, monitors, cans of paint, etc.  I'd give your town office a buzz and I'm sure they can help you out with that.  Big business in recycling these things nowadays.  If they are still working, just maybe too old and slow for what you want them to do, consider donating to a senior center, church, or American Legion.

Why do men throw out our stuff and keep theirs?

Hubby did it again! I had to work a couple hours this morning and in the meantime, he decided to clean out the linen closet.

Things he kept: All his stuff, plus old towels that are good for rags.

Things he threw out: My shampoos, my curling irons, make-up, my electric shaver, etc. When I asked where they were, he burned them! My curling irons were brand new!

Is he trying to tell me something?

This is not the first time he's done something like that. I hate not being here when he gets a "whim" like this, but I never thought he'd throw out my good stuff.

then i just throw on a sweatshirt!! :)
actually who am i kidding, i dont EVER answer the door anyways... you know I never answer the door to strangers for real. Even if it's a kid selling magazines. You just never know... not unless my BF was home. plus i have two crazy non-behaved dogs that if i opened the door, not only would they take off, but they would jump on the person in the process.... I read all the responses and it's funny how some people mentioned being "clean"... now if im sweating at the gym every day or having sex every night it's one thing... but I dont normally get dirty after sitting at a comp all day!!! :) And even when I do get up and get ready, as soon as im done running errands or whatever it was i was out doing, i go right back into my comfy clothes. And the part about the DH not wanting to see a wife all frumpy... my BF loves me either way, and he sees me enough dressed way up (on the weekend nights we go out)... so no big deal around my parts! :)
Don't throw out those cards!
Christmas is over, please don't throw away your cards. If you don't already have plans, please consider sending them to the Pine Ridge Reservation. Children there recycle the cards to make cards for next year. They sell these to earn money. They only need the front of the cards - the picture part - and welcome any style (obviously not naughty cards). The address to send cards is:

Just throw in some spice-like Hot Sauce....BAM it!

it's' chicken, when in doubt, throw it out!!!

Toss it........chicken needs to be refrigerated after cooking and leaving it all night in the oven is not a good thing, I have done it myself and thrown the chicken out.

When in doubt, throw it out!

I made one of the throw blankets like this
for pretty much all of my relatives last Christmas. It has been the single most rewarding gift I have ever given. My mom used hers a lot but, during her brief fight with lung cancer, she had a hard time staying warm and she wanted my cover with her ALL (I mean literally ALL) the time. She had it right up until the minute she died. Of whatever I might inherit from her, I already know that I'm getting that blanket back, and there is no material thing on this earth at this time that I will treasure more.

On a more cheerful note, ALL of the relatives loved them and use them frequently to curl up and watch TV or whatever.
In line with afgan or throw, maybe one

I would trust my husband and throw it away...
but that is because I trust my husband and also because I know he doesn't have time for an affair ;). If you know it isn't true, don't pay it any attention.
She's sooo young to throw her dignity away.
How can she not realize she has her whole life ahead of her with no way to take her weirdness back.
Could still be a ruse, to throw her off guard. Had an ex-SIL who wheedled

I agree, throw out. Probably teeming with bacteria.
Either that or heat it up and feed it to the dumb-dumb who turned it off and didn't put the leftovers away properly. LOL.
this is a throw back to my college days
Morning Thunder is loaded with caffeine!  Good for all nighters!
Don't throw me down, Clark. I won't, Aunt Bethany

Geezus, you couldn't hear a dump truck driving through a nitroglycerin plant.

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?
