I would go ahead and make an appointment
with an ENT stressing the problem you are having. If you end up getting better or going to an urgent care first you can always cancel the appointment. It you know of an urgent care that you trust you could give that a try. Good Luck
Make sure you're getting all your water in and
up your fat a bit. You are in benign ketosis which is what you want to be in if your goal is to lose weight on low carb. Just make sure you're getting enough water and a good multivitamin. Sometimes your electrolytes can get out of balance, but should be easy enough to correct.
Here in Northern Calif, they're going to make us
So if due to the COST of water, (especially when heated by expensive gas!), I already treat it like gold, and use as little of it as possible, I wonder what now? Bathe only once every OTHER week? Let all the plants die, and become kindling for the next wildfire here in the hills? Use the gray water from the washing machine to wash my dishes? (Oh wait - I already do that).
So yea, I feel the same way about the frugality thing. Everyone's so scared of a depression - yet we MT's have been living in one for at least the past 10 years. I've cut back so far that there's not much left to give up, other than eating at ALL, sleeping in an apartment building instead of my car, or finding a way to generate my own power source and get off the grid.
Yea, my little black heart just BLEEDS NOTHING BUT STONES for all those rich CEOs whining about having to give back their million-dollar bonuses.
so what you're saying is that if your child lost her coat you would make her go the winter(sm)
without one simply because someone ELSE may have stolen it? Wow.
If you're asking and the love is long gone, it's time. Make copies of all important papers,

You can get little claw covers (sm)
that fit over kitty claws, kinda like little caps. Not sure where you can get them, maybe Google it. Alternatively, get a scratching post for kitty to scratch on, and some water in a squirt bottle and shoot kitty whenever kitty scratches on furniture.
Check out E-bay for the covers
There's a shop in our mall that sells them for $18 each (at least for my phone type), and I found them on E-bay for a dollar or 2 plus shipping of about 2 or 3 dollars - $5 still better than $18!
phone covers
Have you seen the phone cover plates they make for phones? They have some adorable ones--tons to choose from. That would hide any scratches you have on your current phone. My husband has a Dodge cover on his and my son a Chevy one. They love them.
Had someone like that lifting off the overnight covers at

Claw covers and sticky paws
I have Stick Paws on my furniture, and it works great. You can get it at any pet store.
um... worse is the no toilet seat covers!
what in the world???? i never even knew they DIDN'T exist until i moved to the east from the west, and they are not in more than HALF the public restrooms ive gone in... (i try to avoid these places but sometimes its impossible)...
but really that is like NEWs to me that they are no seat covers.... im assuming it is normal to everyone here that is local though?
TOO FUNNY about the hooks though... i feel the same way and haven't ever put my purse on the ground... usually they have somewhere to place it, even if its on top of the TP holder!
I have a vet appointment
tomorrow. I talked to them on the phone and they told me now that it sounds like a tape worm. I hope they can figure it out soon, I hate to see her suffering with a belly ache. She also looks like she's losing a little weight. She's still playing and running around and drinking though.
I did buy a cook book for dogs over this past weekend, but I'm a little hesitant to start this. I'm just afraid that the dogs won't get the proper nutrients. Anyone else cook for their dogs?
Doctor's appointment soon
I have a doctor's appointment in the middle of June. I'm going to try to deal with this until then. I tried looking up anxiety on the internet but they way they describe it didn't seem to fit. I hate asking for another pill to take. I have way too many now. But, if it takes away this feeling, I'll do about anything. Thanks.
CJ had a followup appointment
He is doing decently well. Got up and voided for DH at 5:00 a.m., then got himself up as I was preparing the car to take him for his recheck. This time I remembered to put in the 9-inch thick orthopedic mattress. Can't believe I forgot that for his postop ride home! They got more air out and lapped up some special food they brought him that smelled like cat food. So I brought some of that home and his appetite did kick in - yay! He's also appreciating having the water and food bowls up on the feeding riser, so it's nice we have all this stuff already in place.
We are giving Sasha lots of loving too so she doesn't get too worried and depressed.
Thank you all for caring. I have an appointment on
Thursday to see a Christian psychologist at a local church. I have been thinking of attending this church for some time, and when I have my appointment it might be a foot in the door so to speak. Thank you again for your kind words. My post was just another way of reaching out. When I get terribly depressed I tend to internalize everything and avoid people. I really need to sit down with someone and just unload. I think this is a step in the right direction.
Congrats on that appointment! sm
A lot of people are returning to church. I was too "busy" for years and got away from it and feel it at the holidays. My views of the right/wrong religion have changed a great deal over the years. I no longer believe there should be huge "differences" in churches and ? being loyal to just one. I am "searching" as well because my kids have married people from other faiths and I feel they are "pulled" as to where to go, and that should not be. I'm happy you are thinking of returning and faith is so important these days. You have inspired me to get off my butt as well and get back to church (and I am not going to give up until I get back there.) It can be very depressing because it does haunt one on the holidays (at least me anyway). I can't imagine not having faith. Congratulations to you!
By all means, keep the vet appointment sm
just to make sure of what's going on. She could have just about anything, from arthritis, tendinitis, Lyme, or even a blood clot. I'm glad the med is helping her. Is it Rimadyl? I would avoid using aspirin until you hear from the vet.
not normal...usually a plan covers all the fancy phone options sm
if that was my phone bill I would freak out. Heck I don't even pay that much for electricity during hot summer air-conditioning months. A good cell phone plan, with data included should not even cost that much because you get allowances for texting, etc. whose ever that is really needs to revisit their contract.
That appointment with the thoracic surgeon
came to a halt when I had what I thought was a gallbladder attack and no, the physician's office calls and says no problems there, however what about the hypoechoic cysts in your right kidney. A scan I had a year or so ago picked up polycystic kidney disease but now with that, first things first and trying to seek more information regarding that. I guess with my age things just start falling apart! One thing I have done today though was to go to foot doctor about what he called "syndrome" in both feet and he prescribed Lyrica and said possibly would help the overall pain all over the body but mostly the ribs. This is the first physician who has said maybe the rib pain associated with the fibro that I have. Thanks for asking!
We waited 10 weeks, until 1st doctor appointment 9sm)
We just weren't comfortable telling anyone right away. Wanted to be sure everything was ok and had "stuck." I'm a very private person and would not want to have to deal with people knowing if something had gone wrong - I'm not really one for all the pity and tiptoing around you that people do after the loss of a pregnancy. Plus, once you tell it's all anyone wants to talk about!
I had someone tell me once that she was PG even before she told her husband. She miscarried two days later, then was calling me to tell me not to tell anyone and wondering if she should tell her husband after the fact. I was uncomfortable.
Having said that, if you feel so inclined, go ahead and share your joy! Congrats!
i suggest making an appointment with your doc ASAP sm
the health of you and the baby might be at risk...why take a chance? you already have enough to worry about and have 3 more months to go! i'm glad you came here for an opinion, but we're not practitioners...i think you need to get off your feet and talk to your doc stat!
Have an appointment with GYN oncologist one week from Friday. Thanks for the well wishes. sm
I am hoping for the best myself. I am hopeful that whatever it is, is in the early stages, as we had been following this cyst I had removed for 3 years and it was not suspicious until it just started changing appearance and removal was recommended. Thought after removing it I was home free, but guess not yet. I do know that cancer is no longer a death sentence and hopefully with a hysterectomy it will all be gone. I am just praying that it has not spread anywhere else. I'll be 42 years old tomorrow!!! Heck of a birthday present!
You're not 'low-class', you're FUNNY, & a good writer!
Which is often the case then someone is the first to cast stones!
At that rate, I could make in a week what I make

You're surprised? I'm not. They're not going to stop voting....
as was mentioned in a prior post. Imagine if they succeed? They just may.
At least you wait until they're cooked! LOL...we're raw dough

Sounds like you're doing great! We're also making out...sm
daughter pay for gas and insurance when she starts driving. She hasn't started driving yet because she doesn't want to get a job to pay for that privilege. That's her choice. We're also making her pay 1/2 of the fees for the state required driver's education course.
I would make a good Beth with wig on. Not sure DH would make a good Dog.

Things you're afraid of vs. things you're not
I didn't used to be afraid of spiders, but I seem to have developed a fear of those little beasties. I also can't stand boats, water deeper than my hot tub and bridges. I'm also fairly convinced that UFOs, if not aliens (well, isn't anything driving those things?) are real, so that kinda scares me, yet it is strangely fascinating. I'm also afraid of El Chupacabra, though I'm very certain that's not real. It's one of those "hahahahaha" fears.
Things other people fear that I do not include snakes (awwww, they so cute! they look like they're smiling!), rats, gangbangers (except Mara Salvatrucha, move them up to my "scary" list), poverty, death, traveling at high rates of speed with almost anyone sober, bats (CUTE!!!!!), homeless people, Sasquatch, most of my male friends, bears, mountain lions.
Fear is such an odd thing, don't you think? So much of it is relative to our own experiences in life, yet at the same time some of them are downright irrational.
So, how 'bout you? What will send you running screaming in the other direction, and what things can you take care of when someone else goes running screaming in the other direction?
That just does not make me think more of you. You are still sm
still coming off as a spoiled woman and not deserving of her time, money, or affections. Lady, you are one spoiled woman.
Anyone know what something I can make up
husband wants another (we already have 3). I'm secretly taking the pill and he wants to know why I am not getting pregnant.
I was thinking of making up something like "I cant have kids anymore because of something" ..... anyone know what "something" I can make up?
can't make
My chicken soup tastes like dishwater.
Well I know who all 3 are, so what does that make me?

Now that I think of it my DH did make up some - sm
tapes; used to DJ parties long ago; so he did the music (his contribution other than showing up!)-- and we "snapped" up the china, not stamped it up! Boy, too much sun on Saturday I guess! We did have a photographer too (that is in that $5K figure); did a very small "package" with a local studio; 2 hours of photographer time, got lucky though, got one of their better photographers who had hurt his foot so could not do big long weddings. He did a wonderful job and we had great pictures to remember the day by. (Plus my brother video taped it as well).
I don't think I would make them (sm)
They are voicing their objections loud and clear and for some reason. They must be very uncomfortable. I am a new grandma (3 years) and I don't get real involved but try to keep my GD busy and I think I would know if she was downright miserable which sounds like what your kids are. I would question the kids at an approprite time - separately and then together and then see what their responses are - tell them you will not get mad and you can keep their secret but you are concerned and would like to know. Then if a time ever comes up with your MIL and it is appropriate - drop a hint or two.
How do you make these?
I have read all the posts about these cute blankets. How do you make them ? They sound pretty easy.
Do you make your own? - sm
I make breakfast taquitos to stick in the freezer for quick breakfasts if the kids are running late, which is almost every day.
One kid hates cheese and likes the corn tortillas so I make bacon and scrambled eggs with a little onion powder, roll them up and make them stick with a teensy bit of cheese (she has never noticed it there) then freeze them.
The other kid like the flour tortillas so I do the same thing but add shredded cheese. Stick them in the freezer in gallon size freezer bags.
I can make 30 of each kind in about 20 minutes and that's 30 days worth of last minute breakfasts or after school snacks.
I know - it's almost enough to make
you join a gym, if only I could afford it. It's not my company - I think they are above board and good people and all. But I've been doing this 19 years, and my brain keeps telling me that variety is what is needed for a brain, not cave dwelling, isolated work.
Not how much I make, how much I have.

Make-up
The makeup counters at Macy's, Boscov's, all the big stores offer a free makeup application and teaching, but be careful they'll try to sell you the store. At 13, I would say base if she has acne if not, none, and a little mascara and maybe a light lip gloss.
Tell her from many of us from them 70s and 80s, lots of makeup causes creases and wrinkles as much as the sun does.
13 stinks for everybody, but probably mom more than anyone. Good luck.
Yes, I am saying to make up even if you
think it is not your fault. That is what I am saying. That is what others are saying also. You can be stubborn and refuse, but it is the right thing to do. You can say it won't work, he won't listen, but you still need to try.
There is someone here saying they make
Maybe that's the company they were talking about in the magazine. You can make $28.00 an hour or more working for doctors. That is not a lie. A lot of these companies offer their own school to work as you go.
Just because every one does it, well that does not make it right
Daresay I go against the norm and not be politically correct and say there are consequences to every action?
So let me make sure I have this right...
because I am fortunate enough to have a husband who has a good job, a great work ethic and both of us have decided to live debt free and are happy that way, I am the bad person here? Wow, how catty and bitchy some women are. Just think, I could work for a lousy company making peanuts, work around the clock to make those peanuts, eat top ramen, never have anything new, never take a vacation and then come here and complain about my life, my job situation, etc. No thanks. Some of you need to take a step back and figure out why you are so unhappy for anyone who can manage to make ends meet in this day and age. None of you would turn it down. DH and I are a team, we work together to have a good life and there is nothing wrong with that. Sorry if that offends you; it works out well for us.
Maybe they should make
those with that addiction be totally immersed in it 24/7 for 30 days. If that doesn't cure them, I don't know what will! (Especally the close-ups!) Eeeww!
It can, but make sure it is thoroughly
thawed out before drinking. Parially thawed is nasty!!!!
Oh, come on, make our day ! sm
Just change the names to protect the innocent! Spice up our boring lives!
Love to hear some of those 18 wheeler stories. My cousin went along with her husband on a trip and said the "girls" would literally jump into the sleeping area of the truck. How interesting!
I would do the same. Why not make
Christmas nice for some other child? It would certainly show your child what the season is really about, kindness and generosity.
I make that, only I use
cream of chicken soup instead of cream of celery . . . we all love it.
Another good tuna meal is to mix the tuna up the way that you normally would (mayo, salt/pepper, etc.) and then add grated carrots and potato sticks. Not too good leftover, as the potato sticks become soggy, but it's great when they're added in right before serving (for leftover, you can just add some fresh potato sticks to liven it up again).
my mom used to make those...
I find them at Super Walmart on occasion and they taste almost the same
