It initially started out as a dull, throbbing type pain in the lower right side of my back, and progressively intensified over a period of hours so that it felt like someone stuck a knife in that area and was twsiting it......slowly! It truly was one of the most painful experiences I have ever had. I was about 6 months pregnant at the time and was admitted and given IV antibiotics.
