Ad in Sunday's paper for cooks, galley hands, etc. No experience. Anyone have any first-hand knowledge of whether this might work for an old hag like me?

Offshore jobs
You know, sounds like a job like that would be right up my alley - my kids are grown and I love to cook. I'm looking for something with variety and want to relocate. Any tips on how to get jobs like that (I live in California). I'd pack up and leave here in a heartbeat...too danged expensive to live here...
Coding going offshore
I agree. Actually, this is happening already. Try calling the provider lines for United Healthcare or Anthem. And you gotta love it when Abdulla answers the phone "Thank you for calling Anthem, my name is Bob, can I help you?" I did 10 years of medical billing before I went back to transcription. Toward the end, if I was having a really rotten day and I got a person such as the one above, when they said their name was "Bob", I'd reply "We both know it's not, Habib, now I need help with a claim, please". Rude? Yeah. But it was rough not being able to understand what in the heck they were saying and especially frustrating knowing where our jobs were going. One girl in the office had to prior auth something. She asked where the person was located. They replied "Argentina'.
Sigh.
I thought no offshore could post on here.
