something that has stuck with me all these years. Originally from Tennessee and my hubby says we have our own language there- he has not a clue when I tell him - he rubbed me the wrong way or he got off on the wrong foot- ?? he says. They both mean the same and I told him what. I am so full of these- well my elder aunt still lives there and she knows what I mean. By the way, what is the name for these sayings? I cannot go through a day without the use of 1 or 2- I would be up the creek without a paddle or out on a limb either 1 and just my gut feeling but I would believe that others have these same sayings, right??

Irregardless

Irregardless is a term that has caused controversy since it first appeared in the early twentieth century. It is generally listed in dictionaries as "non-standard".  This is according to Wikipedia - I guess they are correct.  It is controversial.
