Well, I don't like it -

I think that the police are wasteful in their use of gasoline anyway and if the rest of have t find ways to conserve they should too.

In my town, there are a couple of blocks that 2 or 3 cars patrol all the time - not necessarily because there is always problems there, but because they want to be a presence there - they sit in the road and talk for 30 minutes with their cars running, they go inside stores with their cars running, they leave their cars running when they go in the restaurants, they drive 1 person to a car all the time - never partner up. And it is not because they need to be more than 1 place because they always bunch up and stay in the same area anyway.

Our cops are all overweight, out of shape - why not park those darn cars and patrol those blocks on foot for awhile - be a real presence. Why don't they put 2 people to a car instead of just 1 if they feel like they need more than 1 person in an area for awhile?

I'm not mad because I think I will have to pay it in a ticket - I am mad because the govenment, whether it be local, state, or federal - thinks that they can just spend, spend, spend, and never have to be accountable because "OUR" pockets are bottomless as far as they care concerned!
