We used Borax

We took in a stray cat a couple years ago and ended up with fleas. I wanted something natural and read to sprinkle borax into your carpet (that 100 mule team Borax laundry booster stuff) let it set in a little while then vaccum. It did work for us because we didn't have any fleabites after that. We also bug bombed the place and combed her hair until she had no more fleas and started using the flea stuff liquid you use once a month. Have not had fleas since.

Dont know where you get your borax from
but mine has absolutely nothing to say about poison on it. It says keep out of eyes, could irritate. Oh, 1 more thing, it says not to ingest but hey, guess what, check your regular toothpaste and this says the exact same thing, do not ingest. I wonder how many people pay attention to this. Thanks anyway for the information you thought correct.
Borax washing powder is not dangerous.....

Borax sold in the supermarkets for laundry washing and other uses is not poisonous to the public.  However, REAL boric acid is......just be careful with it.......that's all.....regarding pets and people.......

Borax worked for us too. So do eucalyptus leaves...
placed under couch cushion, in pet beds, etc. First we used Advantage, then did the Borax. Worked great on 4 cats. We were dog sitting and the little critter came along, but are gone now.
Dreft detergent and 20 Mule Team Borax for stubborn stains, gentle on baby's skin..sm

and hypoallergenic.  Works very well on those burp-up stains, ya know, the ones with Poly-Vi-Sol vitamins.

I don't suppose many of you are old enough to remember cloth diapers and diaper pins, plastic pants that went over them to contain leakage, Dreft detergent or 20 Mule Team Borax and heaven forbid knowing how to clean them!  Ask your grandmothers how it was done.  And you think you have it rough with disposable diapers!  Cat
