Was just thinking, finding a boy-toy would be the way around it....

In Reply to: I remarried again at age 56 and this is what you do - Age difference?

:)

Not that yours is a boy-toy in his 40s... but you know what I mean. :)

Let me say, after finding someone again
I wished I had stayed alone. I am not getting divorced again at least not until the kids are grown, so I have made my own space. But let me tell you I believe living on one's own is preferable to living with the wrong person, quite preferable. At least you don't have someone controlling every single move you make!
You just finding that out?
I have 3 cats now but my older cat who died last year was a fabulous mouser at my previous home. She moved most of the time (due to age) slow until she caught a glimpse of a mouse and talk about going into third gear! She killed at least 3, that being 3 less than I had to try to jump up on a table from. I now have 3 younger cats and they might run from a mouse as they have never seen. I have cats who live next door who wander thru my yard (althought not supposed to let animals roam in my neighborhood) and my husband could care less- knows they keep the mouse population down.
Finding classmates
I have been successful at finding classmates by putting up a myspace profile at myspace.com.  This is free and there are more of us (from the 70s) on their than you might think.  It is primarily a social internet space for younger people, but I have located and reunited with several former classmates - it's great.  There is also a section for high schools - so we are able to post about the good ole' days.  It's fun being able to see pictures of old friends now, as well as their children and grandchildren.  The best part is that there are no fees involved.
Where are you finding pants with
inseams of 33 inches? The usual is more like 30 to 32 inches where I shop, unless they are talls.
I was on three meds before finding the right one (sm)
Zoloft made me too sleepy, Effexor didn't do much but gave me strange buzzing sensations when stopping it. Prozac, low dose (10 mg a day) has helped a lot. I take it in the a.m. so it doesn't keep me up at night. But by the end of the day it helps me sleep. (I also take melatonin for sleep). At first you may have some palpitations when your body is getting used to the Prozac, not sure about the other meds with that symptom. I definitely think Prozac is the best.
Yes, and I'm finding it very depressing.
I find myself having to make lots of pasta dishes because pasta is so cheap. I am single but 16 yo son lives with me and you can imagine how much he eats. It's really discouraging to be on such a strict food budget. Just seems like money doesn't go far at all these days. :(
I was one who wrote below about finding SM
love after divorce. I believe there are good men out there, but they are hard to find, especially the older one gets. I think the key is letting him find you, but it doesn't mean you can't put yourself out there.

OK. What I think about problem men have in marriages. I'm speaking about my own here. I was the only girl he ever dated. He asked me to marry him and I said yes. He knew it was mistake, but was devout Catholic and just stayed married, but decided he would still like to be single, so he began cheating on me. As for me, I loved him for a long, long time. When I see him at family events, I wonder why! LOL!!!!
Have you tried finding a copy? Think a new
copy would be nice, not a used one.
Tried finding out myself what happened
I did not particularly care for her. She could not stop crying long enough to sing and besides that she messed up everytime she got up on stage, flubbed her lines. Simon had said if that happened automatically out and yet they passed her on through.
She might be better finding a new career
I hate to sound harsh or rude, really, but if you cannot do the Indian accents, it might be wise to take your unemployment benefits and transition to a new career. There are few jobs out there that don't come with a goodly number of ESL dictators, and the transcriptionists that have jobs typing just the "good" dictators aren't crazy enough to give them up.

So keep telling unemployment you're looking for work, but do your stress level a favor and look for it in a different field.
finding a new mortgage company...sm
Is at the top of my agenda for this year, but it was the plan all along to refinance this year anyway, so...thanks for the support y'all!

I am so depressed about them finding James Kim dead. I am having a really sm

hard time grasping this that I can't imagine what his poor wife and family must be going through. I can't even move and want to read everything about them finding him, etc. if he only stayed in the car with them - He left Saturday morning to look for help and the found his wife and girls on Monday. And he was found dead today miles from where the car was found.

I guess I could thank God that his wife and 2 children are still alive. I am happy they are alive, but it just makes me unbelievably sad what he must have gone through. He had such a great will to live and yet he died out there.

I don't know if anyone out there reading this who lives in Oregon, but I certainly have zero desire to EVER venture out into the Oregon wilderness, now more so than ever. I've heard horror stories about one-lane, winding, extremely hazardous roads and I don't understand why the state won't fix that? This isn't the first family to go through something like this because a lot of maps are contradicting.

This should serve as a warning to anyone who wants to travel the Oregon mountains, especially in the wintertime - DON'T DO IT.

How tragic and sad.

Glad Roxy is better - finding that web site
When I went to that web site to copy the link for you, I went into the breeder section and out popped a picture of a dear friend from my bird breeding days. I've known here for 16 years, but we have been out of touch for the last 5. I called her and she happens to be coming to my city over Labor Day weekend, so we are going to be able to have a reunion and I'll be able to see her and all the cute little cudly birdies I used to raise - I've missed both my friend and the birds very much!

Finding myself watching the wierdest TV shows
Deadiest Catch was my first crazy addiction - who would have thunk?  Now Ace of Cakes.  Anybody else have some weird ones?
I think you'll have a hard time finding someone who will (sm)
come for one hour every day. As wonderful as that would be!! I think they could do that in an hour. But finding someone will be tough. Most housekeepers around here make $75 to clean a house and that takes them 2 or 3 hours. They make more than we do sometimes!!
Incidental finding of a cat colony, what this means now.
I had an early morning appointment today and as I started off saw first 1 cat and living really close by decided to come home, get some food and go back to feed it. When I returned 2 more of its friends close by and so I fed them the 3 cans  that I had. I hated to see this because of my love for animals which means now I have to go buy them food (in addition to my 3 indoor ones) and go to feed them most days. I am sure they are feral but just breaks my heart to see them having to fend for themselves.
F11 didnt work and I am finding nothing under View on my toolbar. sm
Thanks for your suggestions. Does anyone know how to make that darn paragraph symbol go away? I have those and a bunch of arrows all over my document!

Incidental finding, polycystic kidney disease
Not something that I would have liked to hear but being as older, told the doctor maybe can outlive the cysts, i.e. having to be on dialysis and/or dying because of them. I had an MRI of another region and those picked up, told someone in my family had to have and know of no one. The cysts I have can go anywhere in your body so they will watch them every few months, no abnormal lab tests or the like, found those about 2 years ago. The kidney cysts are the only ones I know of.

Thank you for thinking of others!!

That is what I was thinking. At first, she might
have had some point to what she was saying...but not after all the other posts I had started reading.
Well, I'm thinking one (sm)
of the differences (and I don't think that makes it right), is that this insurance company obviously is not putting out a huge amount of money for this claim. I highly doubt that you have the same insurance company that they have, so that could be another reason why it was so easy for them. If you ask my opinion, even though I'm related to them, I think it's a little over the top. I certainly didn't mean to cause any resentment or anger here by posting this to begin with. I really didn't believe that it would turn out this way. I'm still surprised.
What are they THINKING?

Just watched Idol and am shaking my head in disbelief.

You said everything I was thinking
.
Thank you for saying what I was thinking... sm
But didn't want to say. Esp. the post below about putting band-aids on the nipple and the child sucked beside the band-aids and put hickies on mom's breast? Oh, man. I'm sure it was all very innocent, but that made me nauseous.

I thought maybe it was just me, since I don't have kids, but breast-feeding that long seems a little sick to me. (I know, I know, they do it in other countries, it's perfectly natural, we're the ones with the hang-up, etc.)
Thinking??? They are not thinking.
I already have one brother in the pen and my other brother has NEVER been in trouble, he is nearing 50 years old and is facing several years in the pen for being plain brainless!!! Sorry, I am just so frustrated, I don't understand this and now I am left alone to assist our aging parents.
Thinking they can get away with it - ego. nm

They were Brooke's eggs...so Taylor's carrying Brooke and Nick's child...and Bridgette had everything to do with it, probably not Brooke!

Wow...aint we glad real life isn't a soap!!! But sure do love indulging in fantasy for 30 minutes a day!

Do you also watch Y&R? I don't think Nick's really dead...he'll come back, Phyllis will probably be in jail, and he and Sharon will raise Summer...just a thought!

That's what I was thinking too
for my own bedroom, which we are in the process of painting now. I want to add some color, and think that some kind of border would break the contrast between the wall and the ceiling, be it wallpaper, sponge technique, stenciling, or other. I think maybe having the ceiling the same color as the walls would be too much for me, unless a very light color.
This is the one I was thinking of! Thanks - nm
:)
LOL. Thinking the same
thing here. If anyone makes that doing this, they have to be totally working their behinds off!
Thinking about a new pet . . .
Does anyone have a ferret?  Are they difficult to care for?  Do you have to buy a pair or could I start out with just one in a large area where more could be added over time.  What is the best type of cage that is chew proof?  There are so many out there.
i'd like to know too, been thinking about that myself lately. sm
we have recently had to have 3 different appraisals on our home. i had to pay $350, $350 and $375 for each one. the last one the lady was here at max 15 minutes, it was her second appraisal for the day and she was gone before noon and i know she was heading to do another when she left my house. sounds like descent money to me. i am sure gas expenses are quite hefty with the traveling, but still seems like much better profit than MT. she took pictures and measured a few things and that was about all other than preparing the paperwork, researching other properties in area, etc.

One year I planted tomato plants, 12 of them.  They all grew fine, grew flowers, then all of a sudden I could look out the window and actually SEE them such them down, whole plants.  schlooop.  gotta feed the babies.  We put some screening underground and next season was better.  Sorry about you punkins.  It could be rabbits, but the whole plant thing going underground was definitely gophers for me.
I'm so sorry! I was thinking
about your post the other day. My dog had the same type of weird behavior. He was wandering around aimlessly and fell asleep in a closet - not like him at all. We didn't really think too much of it at the time. Then a few weeks later he was walking along and fell over into the pool. He hates the pool and is terrified of water. My mother (who can't swim) jumped in after him, but he was already swimming. He never even went completely under the water, he recovered that fast. We brought him to the vet immediately. He had no hearing loss or vision loss. The vet said that he probably had a TIA. It has happend a couple more times since then. Other then the little episodes, which only last a few minutes, he is a perfectly normal dog and plays and eats. The vet didn't really do anything for him. He just told us that if we noticed any big changes, to bring the dog in immediately. I would definitely take her to the vet and see what the vet has to say. Give your baby lots of love!!!
Well, please at least tell me what you are thinking (sm)
I know you are not a doctor and won't consider it to be medical advice but have you heard of something like this before??
Thinking of you! - sm
My PS was calling us all today asking for us to work extra because of all the MTs in S. CA who are down. At least someone at the company cares!

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone down there.
Was actually thinking about you
when I saw it on the news - actually had film on Cape Cod.  Glad you are okay.  I also know several other regulars are from Maine.
Thanks. That's what I was thinking.

EXACTLY what I was thinking!
I have come to realize that my so-called "friend" is a very jealous person, and it makes me insane because I don't understand it! This is a small thing, but for example, at the beginning of this past summer, my husband and I were talking with her about GPS systems and how it would be nice to have one for our car for when we travel. She told us that she would love to get one, too, but they were just so expensive. My husband and I ended up getting a great deal on a really nice GPS system online in July, so we bought it, and when I told her about it, her exact response was, "I really have no interest in those things." I couldn't believe it! She had seemed like she wanted one ever more than we did!

Also, shortly before Thanksgiving, we were talking about laptop computers and how we both wanted new ones (we both had older ones), and she kept telling me that she was going to get one after the holidays, but I had no immediate plans to buy one. Well, for Christmas, my husband bought me a beautiful brand new HP laptop, which was completely unexpected! I was so excited, so I told her the good news and her response was, "Laptops are nothing but pains. I hate the things." Why does she do this???? I hate jealous people! It's not even like I was trying to make her jealous, but was just so excited that I wanted to share the exciting news with someone! Shouldn't a friend be happy for you and not turn completely jealous when something good happens for you?

I guess she is not really a true friend. After all of these times of blowing us off by not coming over when she has said she was going to, I am just sick of it, and I'm not going to even talk to her anymore.
Thanks - that's what I was thinking too (sm)
That at least I could try to show him a respectful way to behave, give him an example. Interesting that I am also a Scout leader :-)
I was thinking that too!!
I need to find a way to keep my arms out from under my pillow while I sleep too!!

Thanks - that's exactly what I was thinking (sm)
Thanks for understanding where I was coming from.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Don't cook, don't clean, don't wash...I guess if I didn't ever have to do anything, I may remember moving a pair of underwear to a specific different drawer 2 days before I was going to wear them. As I sit right now, when I open a drawer I'm lucky if I remember why I came in the room let alone what I opened the drawer for. Pay the lady and maybe she can buy her own soap and undies.
That's the one I was thinking of!
Rules of Engagement. That show is SO funny. Just crackes me up every time. I like the other shows on the Monday night lineup too but they have had a LOT iof repeats so I stopped recording them. Except my hubs knows if he sees Christine or Rules of Engagement he will record them for me.
Still thinking -
BBQ pork and chicken are good too. Something you can grill a few days ahead and then leave in the crock pot to finish the day you want it. I find pork roasts are relatively inexpensive and really go far without much shrinking.

I also make a mexican-type dish - my take on something Rachel Ray did. Boil (or use leftover) chicken breasts, shred, add 1 package of salsa mix (I have also used taco seasoning but like the salsa better), add some cilantro to this. I use small corn tortillas that I quickly fry in a little oil just to make them pliable. Add the chicken to the tortillas, roll up like a cigar, line them all in a 13x9 and top with Chihuhua cheese (not sure on the spelling but any mexican melting cheese will do). STick them under the broiler to melt the cheese. I serve with salsa, a salad and/or rice. Kids love them too!
