They need to give it a rest or at least make a new commercial! Every time I see her and the phone company guy I want to scream!

I just got Vonage...
but have yet to open the box and install it - LOL!! My friend has it and loves it. No hidden costs. If a friend refers you, you also get an extra month free - so no risk. If you need a friend to refer you, I'd be happy to do that. I should be setting up soon and getting my feet wet. From what my friend says, it's just fine. The big difference is being sure you have cordless phones for the other rooms (like one of those phones that comes with two or more headsets) in your home - or do like she did and run extension cords. Hope that helps!
Anyone ever tried Vonage the phone service? sm
I was looking into trying Vonage for a phone service. After reading about it, it seems like it would work fine. But I am still concerned about all of the connections and processes it has to go through just to get a phone call. I currently have cable modem so that would be okay. I was just wondering if it works as well as they say it does, what are the "hidden" startup costs, and please tell me everything you can. I hate anything with contracts and this is just something I don't really know anything about. Thanks!
