Very sad

I think you and I are from the same town (Oil City, PA).  My 24-year-old cousin was killed Monday in a car accident when another truck crossed the center line and 3 days earlier a little boy was killed when struck by a car, 2 devastating tragedies.  It has been amazing how the community has come together to help the families and grieve with the families.  Just when you think you cannot handle any more grief and pain, there are so many willing to lend you a helping hand.

Your fears about your daughter's learning to drive are quite understandable.  I agree with the one poster who suggested setting ground rules, and the idea of a defensive driving class was excellent.  If you are concerned that your daughter is not mature enough to handle getting behind the wheel of a car, there is nothing wrong with making her wait for awhile.
