March of dimes

Hello everybody! I've been searching and searching for a MT job but i can't seem to find one, so instead i've decided to dedicate one of my weekends to walking for the march of dimes. I'll be doing it 4-14-07 in my hometown. If anybody would like to help with the cause i have been given my own website for donations:

Thanks for your time reading this, i'm just pretty excited and want to get as many people involved as possible!

I had one in 2005
And I do still have a period, but by far not anything compared to what it was.  It's between spotting and a light flow.  Some months are worse than others, just like a regular period, but still far better than what I was putting up with.  I would strongly consider doing it.  My doctor told me that whatever I'm doing at 6 months postop, whether it be bleeding like a regular period or just spotting, that's probably how it would stay forever (or at least til menopause...then I guess we'll see ), but for now I'm enjoying it!  Good luck with whatever you choose!
Why didn't I think to march in our parade
carrying a sign saying keep our medical records in the US.  Oh, I'm working!
Yikes. It seems so soon. And I do not like it when Easter is in March.
Too chilly for the Easter dresses and no spring flowers out yet. Not a springy Easter Bunny feeling Here in Northern New Jersey just had 4 more inches added Friday from our previous 8, which had melted away and now the white stuff back on the ground. Probably will snow on Easter, although going to be in the mid 50s today. One can only hope.
Universal is more for teens really.....

MGM is great for 3 and 7 year olds, as is the Magic Kingdom.  Epcot is more for teens and adults.  Haven't been to Animal Kingdom but it's for 3 and 7 year olds as well as adults and teens.

Someone I know just went back up to Universal and said much is closed inside - it's not doing as well as it did back in the early 90s.  I loved Universal when I went, that was in 1997, and I'm adult (many times over *LOL*).

They'll have fun NO MATTER WHAT - this I can promise you!!!

Buena Vista is a very nice area to stay in and very close to all parks.  The Disney parks have escalated in price and went up TWICE this past year....may be better to buy 3 (if they still offer 3), 4 or 5-day passes - unlimited visits and cheaper in the long run.

HAVE FUN!!!

Universal DOES have Nickelodeon.....sm

Sea World has been completely REVAMPED - haven't been there since 1983 (when it cost $12.95 to get in) and has I think TRIPLED in price if not quadrupled.  It was wonderful in 1983 so I presume it's even better now.

I forgot Universal DOES have Nickelodeon and used to have Hanna-Barbera - so 3 and 7 year olds would like those 2 places in Universal.

Some universal truths about

Some universal truths/facts I came up with are as follows:

1. We want/need to be loved
2. We want/need to be accepted
3. We want/need to be cared for
4. We need to be fed
5. We need to be clothed
6. We need to be safe --physically and emotionally
7. We need to be understood
8. We need to be working/accomplishing goals

Can you add to the list?

We went to the one at Universal Studies in FL - sm
12-2005, excellent food. Emeril was not there though. We had mentioned we were on a Make-a-Wish trip when we made the rvsn and the head chef was going to come out and say hi to Jen but he got busy with a private party and was unable to. So he had them send out a complimentary dessert tray/selection (like 6 desserts); talk about heavenly. We looked like wolves devouring it, it was so good. But it was the best dinner I have ever had, expensive but worth every penny. Enjoy.
NO WAY do I want universal healthcare!!
My boyfriend is Canadian and the taxes to pay for their healthcare are REALLY high!! I just got back from a 2 week trip up there and just eating out the tax rate was 15%!! Their income tax rate is even higher! I have an individual health plan that is as good as the one I had through my former employer and pay $109/month, which costs me a lot less than it would if I had to pay the extra taxes to help fund this retarded universal healthcare!!
universal sign
Oh you've read my mind!! Sooo many times I've wished I had a little sign, like a piece of cut poster board taped to a popsicle stick, that I could hold up that says "OMG I'M SO SORRY!!" or "I'M SORRY, MY BAD!" or "I'M SORRY, PLEASE EXCUSE ME!"!!
Tessier is Best and has new 2005 3rd Edition sm
I was delighted just before Christmas to find out Tessier had come out in a new 3rd Edition in 2005. This was always my favorite in the 90's, and since it arrived it is my new favorite now. It is big, 2000 pages, combines material that would be found in 2 Stedman's books, Surgical Equipment AND Surgery Words. I still use my Stedman's specialty books but 95% of the time I find what I'm looking for in this new Tessier.

I do full time Op Reports for a very big teaching hospital, plenty of specialties, and it's all in this book.

I paid $41.95 with free shipping because I used my credit card. They will send you the book and bill you but you would have to pay shipping and handling.

The price is great considering it's the equivalent of two Stedman's books, and I think much better.

You won't be sorry if you give yourself this terrific tool from the start.

Here's the link to the Elsevier site. You may have to call in to get the free shipping, it may have been a special.

P.S. Don't go to Amazon, they are not selling the new edition.

congress passed no law in 2005
Introduction

This article applies to users in the following regions that have experienced daylight saving time (DST) or time zone changes during 2007:

U.S. and Canada (where DST is observed):The U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005, passed by the U.S. Congress July 2005, extended daylight saving time in the U.S. by approximately four weeks. As a result, beginning in 2007, DST for the U.S. will start three weeks earlier on March 11, 2007, and end one week later on November 4, 2007, resulting in a new DST period that is four weeks longer than previously observed. These four weeks are referred to in this article as the "extended DST period." Visit MSN Encarta for more general information about DST. Canada chose to follow the U.S. change, in regions where DST is observed.

U.S. 2007 change in daylight saving time:

I was diagnosed with GAD in 2005. I think everybody's different as far as meds go. SM

I am on Effexor XR 150 mg a day and it works wonderfully for me, although when I forget to take my pill, I do get that strange dizzy, buzzy feeling that someone below described.  I also have Klonopin if I need it.  It's not as strong as Xanax, but it takes the edge off and helps with sleep.

I'm curious what was the catalyst for you being diagnosed?  I have always been a "worrier" ever since I can remember.  I bite my nails, but it was always manageable worrying.  Then in the fall of 2005, I had a full blown panic attack.  It was the worst experience of my life and I hope that I never have to go through it again.  I had a gallbladder attack.  I new it was my gallblader.  I knew I wasn't have a heart attack and yet it was like one half of my brain could not convince the other half.  I started feeling lightheaded, dizzy, and like I was in a tunnel.  I was at work and someone told me I should go to the employee health nurse.  I did and my BP was through the roof, my pulse was 130, and the nurse just ripped that BP cuff off my arm and said you need to be seen in ER and made sit in a wheelchair and wheeled me down there!

The irony is the more urgent she acted, the worse my panic got.  Finally, it was established that I was not having a heart attack, but still my body was freaking out.  I could not calm down.  Then I started crying and cried for two weeks straight.  I couldn't sleep at night.  I didn't want to be home alone.  I didn't want to go out in public.  I just basically sat in my house, on my couch for two weeks straight crying and fretting.  My doctor tried me on several different medicines including Lexapro and Zoloft, both did nothing for me but make feel nauseous.  Then he wanted to prescribe an antipsychotic which made me freak out even more.  Being a medical Transcriptionist and knowing about drugs, side effects, etc. was NOT conducive to my anxiety disorder!

Finally, I found a female nurse practitioner who was wonderful.  She new exactly what I was feeling.  Told me her daughter had the same issues and started me on Effexor.  I have been panic attack free going on three years.  I get what I call mini panic attacks where I can feel myself starting to freak out, but I've taught myself relaxation and breath techniques that calm me down.

I'm just jazzed to meet people who have the same "disorder" as me, ya know.  When I've described my anxiety and panic attack to my family and friends, they just look at me like I should be committed and when I was going through it, my family didn't have a clue what to do with me or to say to me.  They were afraid of me, really.  My mom kept saying "you need to snap out of it."  Yeah, ma.  If only it were that easy!

well as long as there is no universal healthcare
hopefully obama will win in November!!
We were considering a rabbit in March but decided to go with guinea pigs instead (sm)

My daughter is 5 and really wanted a cat, but we just aren't "cat people."  We have a big dog, and she loves him but wanted something cuddlier.  We wanted something that she could help care for and play with.  We get the "pigs" out of their cage every day (we have a an indoor fence/play yard that we put on a towel to catch the pee and poop) and let them run around.  They have turned out to be a lot more fun than I thought they would.  They really don't smell as long as you change the bedding in the cage every three to four days (might go longer if you only had one).  From the things I've read and our experience, they are really gentle and tolerant (no one has gotten even an accidental bite since we got them in March, and we handle them ALL the time).

The negatives are that they are quite messy ( lots more vaccuming in the room where the cage is - again might not be as bad with only one - most of the bedding goes flying when they get to chasing each other around), and they can be noisy (especially at night when you're wanting to sleep).

They are terribly cute, and we love them but, like any animal, they are a lot of work.  I don't regret it at all, but I can see where it wouldn't be for everyone.

My pumpkins are gone! I planted 4 pumpkin seeds in March sm

which grew up really nice and started to grow out like vines - got pretty white flowers in them which means the pumpkins would be coming out in a few weeks.

I haven't checked up on them all week because we've had plenty of rain so I haven't had to water them.  I go today with my big bucket of water and there was only dirt left with holes. They dug them up and ate EVERYTHING - the stalks, flowers, everything!  I am really upset.

I have 3 boys - 2 little ones, and we live in the country. Every year I spend about 80.00 on pumpkins decorating our porch, land, etc with pumpkins. I though I'd be a little more economical and plant seeds in the spring which cost a dollar so that I could have nice, ripe pumpkins, as many as I wanted - for the fall.

I'm thinking rabbits got them. We have indoor cat/dog so it wasn't my animals. I'm not sure what to do next spring. I'm not giving up. How can I keep animals from getting to them like that???

I want to cry.......I've been going out into the field and watching them grow..they were my babies..

Dear God! And no one wants universal health care in the US because that would be, like

My husband usually gets a 12,000 bonus every year in March and then takes home around 7 or 8. It IS
sickening - that the Govt. gets that much out of taxes. I hate it. WE are standing behind the Fair Tax for this very reason. Somethings gottah happen. Remember the Boston Tea Party? This govt is just out of control in its spendind. 39% How is one supposed to live when we only bring home 70% of our actual pay? Doesn't that anger some of you?????????????????????????????????????????
tubal in 98 reversal in 2002 and baby in 2005
I was in a really bad marriage and knew I wanted no more children in this relationship and so I spoke with my OB/gyn and her performed a tubal not removing any of the tube just cutting and cauterizing. In 2000 my hubbie and I married and he had no biological children so we had my tubal reversed at a cost of about $3000 and little or no discomfort. A couple of years later and some Clomid (because of my age) I gave birth to an almost ten pound baby boy and am planning on working on a little sister currently *~*~*weg*~*~*~
Gays march for their rights to be involved with their long-time partners
health care should a drastic decision be made. It is usually a family member...even though we are the ones who take care of our partners when they are sick or dying. We fight for the right not to be thrown out of a shared house by the partner's parents. We want to honor our partner's wishes when they die as we are the ones who have spent years with them - not the family. These are just a few examples.

As far as your comment that we influence young people - that is absurd. All we want is to live our life and as pxmt said, be able to walk down the street without abusive comments, being assaulted, ridiculed, etc.

The school system is not segregating gay children - they are making it "gay friendly and teaching tolerance". Suicide is very high in gay children because of the parents who teach their children that it is evil and it is okay to bash a gay child. These schools are just trying to save the lives of young children.

As far as your comment that Christian's homes and churches are burned, sorry but I cannot recall one incident that I have read or saw on the news. Temples yes. As far as being assaulted for your beliefs, could it be because you stand in front of abortion clinics and gun down the doctors and nurses that come out or go into the clinic? Could it be that you bully the 15 and 16-year-olds who have been raped and want an abortion?

Sorry to say this, at least we (gays) are not violent and just want to be left alone.
