I'm worried about my kidneys.
Not from my period. I'm only 42. After 14 years of infertility, two years ago, my uterus prolapsed, grade 2 (probably from too much heavy lifting during our military moves). It's definitely not menstrual but it did look like it could have been. Had I still had my uterus, I would have thought I had gotten my period.
The pain is terrible. Using the 1/10 scale, it's about a 12 without meds. Using 800-1000 mg of ibuprofen around the block helps some and the Pyridium lessens the bladder symptoms and takes the pain down to a 7. I read that males ararely get UTIs until they're above age 60 due to the length of the ureter. The nurse practitioner I saw (male) is under 60 so he has no clue as to how bad they hurt. It was even worse with the contrast CT. The dye really irritated my ureter.
I am so badly lacking in sleep that right now I feel apathetic and dead. The pain is wearing me out.
Like I said, I think the violent shaking chills alternating with being iunable to tolerate any clothing because I'm so hot,, plus the fever despite the ibuprofen has me worred most. If I'm not better tomorrow, I might go to the ER. I guess my way of thinking is that I'm so frickin' tired and in so much pain right now that I cannot form a clear thought.
Thanks for your post.
