I have a friend who goes to Curves. Is there one in your area? I know what you mean . . . wish I could lose 30 to 50 pounds. Sitting at the computer all day long does nothing for our buttocks. lol. I have a HealthWalker machine in my home and I love it, but small child running around the house prevents me from using it like I would like to. The pedals swing out and I'm just so afraid it will smack my child. She likes to be with her mommy. She starts kindergarten next year so hopefully I will be able to use it again soon. Good luck! Hey let us know how much you drop!

I go to Curves
but really haven't seem much weight loss as of yet, (started in Janurary), but my sister-in-law and I try to walk between 2 to 3 miles whenver the weather allows. Hopefully now that spring is "almost here" we can do this more often. 4 years ago we walked at least 5 days a week and I still ate pretty much whatever I wanted, (most of the time healthy but no always, love my glass of wine with dinner) and when we went on vacation, most of my clothes were to big.
I go to Curves each day. Is there one by you? SM
Everyone is friendly and I get to socialize and work out at the same time. I do know what you are talking about.
Anyone a member of Curves?
I am thinking about joining with a co-worker and would love some feedback from current members. Do they have treadmills, etc or is it only the 30 minute circuit training?
If only life never threw us curves?
I say seek some help from a counselor even if just for yourself right now. If you already say "I want full custody", that's NOT fair to your child. No one is perfect, but your child needs a father no matter what shape or size. He may be grieving and he may grieve for a long, long time. Have you lost your parents? Two months is not a long time to grieve and just "get over it". I know this sounds harsh, but I cannot believe if you really loved this guy you would post something like this as if you have zero tolerance unless your husband is perfect? I think you should cut him some slack. It is winter time, which can cause seasonal depression as well. I say encourage, not discourage. But it sounds like you've pretty much made up your mind that you're done with him. That's such a shame for your 4-year-old. I'd think twice before divorce as this is not teaching your son anything other than it is okay too quit if things get rough. Marriage is not always bliss but it is these times that makes it so much stronger... Take care but please think of your son and the fact that splitting up will affect him greatly forever....
I did Curves for about 2 yrs, but quit due to surgery a yr ago sm
I had GREAT success with Curves, which I did along with Weight Watchers - I lost 72 inches in total body measurements and almost 75 lb. CURVES ROCKS and now that I've recovered from my hip / knee surgeries, I'm going to rejoin.
Anyway, I know they've changed someone but their core competency is the circuit training, no treadmills or other equipment. You really don't need the treadmill either, because the stations between equipment are for walking / jogging in place.
