Today our youngest finally got her first car

Today our youngest finally got her first car. DH and I bought it for her a few months ago and have been slowly fixing it up in anticipation of her getting her license. So today we finally gave it to her. Hubby went and got it insured and titled before he left for the week. He stopped in at the bank to tell me he'd gotten it all taken care of, and mentioned he was going to take the extra set of keys with him so they'd be safe. I said "No, you know she's going to lock the keys IN her car and need us to rescue her! Please leave them home where I can find them."
So he did.
A couple hours ago DD called "Mom, is there another set of keys for my car?" "Yes, why?"
"I locked my set in the car and I'm stranded... please help me!"

I finally saw it today ...
I was off today. First I watched it when DH left the house to run errands and I was supposed to be showering. Then I watched it again with DH tonight, never telling him I'd already seen it because he'd be disappointed that I already knew what was going on! But I still misunderstood a line between Juliet and Hurley. I thought Hurley said he REMEMBERED Juliet from the dock, when the hoods were put over their heads and they got shocked, and then she said it was her day off, like her day off from working as a doctor, so she joined in the fun of shocking the prisoners! Which I thought was wicked humor. But DH said Hurley said he DIDN'T remember her from the dock. I would have thought she was there, but maybe not.
Anyway, what proof does Juliet have that her sister's cancer actually came back? I don't remember Ben proving that, except with paperwork, which could have been faked. And why were we looking at a heart rhythm strip to see if her brain cancer had returned? Wha? And the way I was reading Juliet when she was with Ben, his manipulation of her actions didn't mean she was back on his side or necessarily going to do all of his bidding, even if it she might appear to be doing what he wanted. After all, she was alone now either way, and seems like she needed to join up with the group for herself. So when she said to Jack she was in it alone already, I think she could have meant from Ben, too. She's just trying to survive and find a way back, and this group wants to get back as bad as she does.
But I'm not addicted to this show or anything ...
Youngest DD graduates HS 5/21 :))

My youngest daughter...sm
won't have anything to do with me - no letter, just hung up on me the last time I tried to call her. I sent her an e-card for her birthday, which I know she picked up, but no response at all from her.
My youngest will be a freshman in
highschool in NJ, starting September 5th. Second year of college for my oldest, community college in NJ, September 4th. He went away to college last year and he would have been starting back today if he went back there.
He should take some lessons from my BF. His youngest
brother was getting married, only invited his parents and 1 sibling (there are 5). He later decided to invite all the other siblings, my BF said no, if I wasn't wanted in teh beginning I'm not going now. Even with his mother getting on his case, he didn't go, even though it was only an hour drive. Your DH needs to develop a backbone. You shouldn't have to be the one to say no. I do agree, it is better to give notice than to wait to last minute. Tell him to pick up the phone and call her.
I would love for my youngest to see it

Youngest has activities
My youngest is going to summer camp at her school for two weeks (it's pretty expensive and that was all we could afford) and then the rest of the time she'll be outside playing with friends and swimming in our pool. My oldest is going to be swimming, having friends over and watching her sister for me while I work. We also have a vacation planned and her friend is visiting for a week from Florida. The summer usually flies by no matter what the kids are doing. It doesn't always have to be so structured.
My youngest is Kristina Renae nm

My youngest has acute gastroenteritis - very ill. Been up with him sm
giving fluids, tylenol/ibu., a clean bucket. Went to church this morning to teach a class, and now I'm working.
But, it's not all bad...He's finally sleeping soundly. I normally work on my company desktop, but today, hooked up my laptop and sitting outside by the pool, overlooking the gorgeous water, working away doing ASR with my candles nearby....
Now, who can complain about going to work after a long night when you can work like tihs? Not me.
Youngest DD had two starts and stops sm
before she got really started. Don't think I would worry.
Cider? Something other than hot dogs for the youngest

My youngest is much easier than the older 2 were...
With my oldest 2, it was easy before they turned 18 - they HAD to be in by 11:00 because of junior licenses. After they turned 18, I think it was 10 on school nights and midnight on weekends unless they were spending the night somewhere. DD was the one to argue at every turn. Drove us crazy. Now my youngest DS on the other hand, is such a homebody. He got his license in October and he doesn't go further than a mile or so to hang out with his friends or his cousin. That might all change some day, so we'll see.
My daughter (the youngest) figured it out
at about age 12 or 13 when she was awake when I put a quarter under her pillow for a tooth. She didn't let on to me, but says now (she's 17) that she extrapolated on her own that if the Tooth Fairy didn't exist, probably Santa didn't either. She says she never felt lied to, and cherishes the magic she felt back then.
My youngest step son was killed ........ sm
in a motorcycle accident and was almost decapitated. The mortician did a very good job with him, but there was still some evidence of the trauma he suffered. His mother chose to have an open casket because I doubt she could have dealt with it any other way. It was a very hard funeral, and hard for me as I had not seen him in quite some time and it was hard seeing him lying in a casket, but I think, hard as it was, it did help bring closure for me and for his family. I think it is a very personal decision that only the family can make at a time like this.
I had an issue like that with my youngest a while back.
Turns out he was super constipated and the liquid from above was seeping around it. Probably a good idea to get that checked.
Back in the 70s my youngest sister looked like
Kate Jackson from Charlie's Angels. Not intentionally, she just did. Same hair, facial features, etc. Even more weird was she drove the exact same car as Kate J. did on the show too. So she'd go to the gas station and such, and people would think that's who she was.
I, on the other hand, have never looked like anybody. Except once a 3-year-old that visited our home thought I looked like Juice Newton. (Wasn't that a singer?) Anyway, she kept calling me 'Juice'. It was kind of cute that a baby would think something like that.

What do you think of the quality of clothing today. What I looked at shopping today in nice stores
the stuff wasnt even sewn properly. Do you have to look at everything you buy or just hope it lasts a year.
The only thing that works for my youngest daughter is Prell shampoo. nm

Two youngest grandchildren here tonight. They love breakfast for supper. (sm)
Will do bacon, hashbrowns, a frittata, biscuits and juice. If their mom gets here in time for supper will do gravy for her biscuits. The kids and my husband don't care for biscuits and gravy. (Go Figure).
my youngest daughter puts her in the lunchbox just to keep her drink cold, but my oldest never does
sick yet. If their school is like my daughters' schools they eat about 3 hours after school starts so I would not think there would be a problem.
Added fresh chives today. to the egg today.
and a SMIDGE of soy sauce.
But finally came around
I've decided I didn't like having my son be in "special" classes because I couldn't believe that I would have a child who would not do well in school. Selfish, stuck-up, I know. I "let" him be put in speech therapy, and they put him in a special class for learning how to cut with scissors. Eyes rolling here. Dealt with the same school for 5 years and frankly he wasn't learning squat. This year didn't start off any better so we moved and I put him in a new school. He is doing wonderful! They are actually forcing him to challenge himself and do work. I don't care what they call the classes. They are helping him get to the level he needs to be for him, not for any district statistic. He's a much happier kid now that he isn't stressed about being able to participate in school.
Finally!!!!
which dog finally got from Ute and joe.

I'm finally over that flu and then
the cold after that. Zinc tablets did help the cold; it was only bad about 2 days. Zinc didn't seem to help the flu at all, and by the time I figured out it was probably one of the flu strains it was too late for Tamiflu, but it had progressed to bronchitis so I was put on Keflex as well as an inhaler. The inhaler works, but can cause insomnia and crankiness.
yea, yahoo, finally....lol...nm

lol, finally something for us that is the equivalent to
California bleached blondes with big boobs?
Keep looking!
lol
Finally somebody with my problem. (sm)
I alternate between Suave clarifying and Wella Regulate shampoo that is probably only sold at certain salons or on line. It cleans and treats your scalp without damaging your hair. However, I still have problems if I skip a day. My hair guy says perspiration is damaging to hair, and I'd never heard that before, but what every condition I have MUST be shampooed every day, which really sucks at 45 years of age.

Cute cat! I finally got a pic of my other cat who was MIA in the last pic!
Here is our middle boy, Bailey. He was MIA in the last pic, and he is the one who gets into the most trouble, but is also one of the most affectionate ones! I think he may be bipolar LOL!
Finally got rid of one after several months
Had to buy a cage trap online and bait it. Eventually got lucky and put something in there it was in the mood to eat, and it didn't manage to spring the trap that time. BF took it for a ride and released it somewhere far away.
Now there's a possum looking to get in....maybe I need to get a dog, my house seems to attract critters.
Yup! I have finally realized it! SM
It's funny because she will always call or instant message my husband or I whenever she needs something! Just a few weeks ago, out of the blue she called and asked if my husband could take her to Home Depot to get some materials because they wouldn't fit in her car and we have a big mini van with a roof rack. I told him not to do it because she is just using us! It's so annoying!
The same thing happened to us when we got our new plasma TV last year! She came over and saw it and said, "Oh I heard those things don't last too long." She always has some sort of rude comment whenever she is jealous! I'm so done with her!
Also, she wanted me to try to get her son's girlfriend a job in transcription. She thought she could do it just because she could "type really fast." I told her that there was no way she would be able to do it if she doesn't have the proper training to learn all of the medical terminology, drug names, etc. Her response was, "Oh, she doesn't need that. She can type as fast as you!" I guess she really is just a jealous, disrespectful person! The sad thing is, she is much older than me! I'm 26 and she is in her 40s! Amazing!
I finally figured out how to add a pic...
I love everyones pics of their pets, so here's my girl Sara sleeping with my son. She is 7 years old and we rescued her from the pound when she was 5 months.
Maybe not out of the blue. Maybe just finally had

I thought they were finally
going out of style?
My boy is FINALLY coming around . . .
The last year or so he has been quite obnoxious and I was thinking what happened to my compassionate young man? Now he is 12-1/2 years old and the smart-alec is disappearing, or at least he doesn't rear his ugly head much these days. It's just so different with boys that I am not sure how to handle it. I could help my daughter, because I knew what she went through, but my boy . . . that's a different story!!! He has been kinder, his voice has dropped, he is breaking out, oh yea, hormones are kicking in. I think boys don't get emotional like girls though, they get mouthy and aggressive. There's your difference. IMO
Well he finally left....sm
He asked when my husband would be home and I said tonight and he left. He is staying somewhere else. He is getting an apartment next week 30 miles away from here he said so I am glad. I hate to say it but I am tired of babysitting. I got to where when he comes and won't leave I just stay in my office.
Finally.............thank you!! Gut instinct!!

Yah-hoo! Banner Day for me, finally!.
I thought I was going to receive my first social security check this Friday but thinking I probably got the numbers wrong for direct deposit, I called social security yesterday and the guy said I would be getting my check on the 22nd. I am pessimistic and thought it would not be there but blow up the balloons, shoot off the fireworks, it is here this morning!!! I am off today so planning to put a chunk of that first check towards me and my vacations for this summer. I have now worked a total of 48 years now and counting. I am just a happy lady this morning.
Yes, I finally went to the ophthalmologist
It is drusen... not good news... will lose central vision sooner or later... Ask your doctor to check this out.. They have to keep watch on it through regular check ups..There are no signs or symptoms, except found on eye exam, and there is no cure. Please look into it. Good luck to you!
Sold the property, finally
Well, I guess the man was wrong for wanting me to accept the $110,000. I have sold the property today for $140,000. That is a chunk more than I can now think of ways to spend- just kidding, planning on putting new flooring in, paying off most of the home where I live and paying my bills off. Hooray!!
Finally, it seems to go as "we" the general
I think Lakesha or Jordin, in any order will be next 2, and Blake and Melinda final 2. I like them all, so I dont care who wins.
Glad you're finally going to get ...sm
resolution. Remember if they try to hand you a check don't take it.... take CASH only!
I'm soo glad you finally got what you had been seeking!
congratulations! Perserverance pays off sometimes! Good for you. They were probably hoping you would give up and write it off, but you won this one! yaaeee~sleep well tonight!
Yeah, finally had a colonoscopy.
That was after working for a boss who was so nuts she told employees that when she and the other supervisor walked into the room where they were busy scheduling patients on the phone, they were expected to whirl around in their chairs and face the supervisors in case they wanted to say something to the room. We were all pretty sick trying to work with that wacko. But the colonoscopy showed my colon was anatomically so twisted he couldn't get past the sigmoid anyway, so it's always going to be something to stay on top of. Don't need a stressful job on top of that.
Time to finally put the Sox to rest...
and move on the World Series. GO TRIBE!
You finally cured my overeating! LOL! NM
xx
I can honestly say that my brother has finally
gotten his act together, well for the most part. He is still a lousy father but in just the past 2 weeks he has been making an effort. I hadn't thought about not having to buy a casket. The last funeral I went to the lady was quite elderly and lived with just her dog. The dog had been quite ill for some time and it was almost like they were just hanging on for each other. After she died they had the dog put to sleep and his ashes were buried with her.
He is probably happy to finally have a *home*. NM

Finally pictures of Bear available.
Introducing Bear - our new black spitz mystery dog (possibly chow mix, Belgian mix, or my favorite, Swedish Lapphund!).
First of all, I agree that anybody who finally admits they
are an alcoholic has a HUGE problem by that time. I don't, however, agree that alcoholism is a disease. The problems that alcohol causes in the body are diseases. The consumption of the alcohol is by no means a disease. It is that person's choice when they pick up that first drink. None of us knows whether or not we will become addicted or not. It is a chance you take when you pick up the first drink. I'll probably get flamed for this, but alcoholism, in my opinion is a problem of choice, not a disease.
I am glad that you have given up the alcohol because I know first-hand what it does to a family and it's not a pretty sight. Please, just take all precautions to stay away from the stuff, no matter what it takes. Thank you for getting the help that you needed to overcome your addiction.
