I've had the book in my hands since Saturday morning and won't even take it out of the bag. I figure once I read it, it's over...and I just don't want that to happen. It's like a world-class piece of gourmet chocolate. I want to savor little nibbles but want to have more for later. I haven't been able to do that with ANY book I get my hands on....have to read the whole thing in one sitting. I'm so queeah.

actually maybe not, the S's might be backwards

My marriage must be backwards.
Somehow DH usually gives up watching sports so I'll sit down and watch something with him. So we usually watch my DVR'd garden shows or those shows where they fix up people's houses. Okay, sometimes I watch shows like Smallville with him, but they have to contain a hunk or something for my pleasure too.
Am I doing this marriage thing wrong?
Personally, I do not see this as a step backwards--sm
as MOST of the women seeking abortion are children themselves and only want to rid themselves of a situation they created, being oblivious and not wanting to face any consequences of..getting pregnant. In other words, they want to be able to have sex without paying any price for that, i.e. having a baby. A lot of these *children* seeking abortion should be made to see that what they are seeking to terminate is human life and if that child were born, it would be considered murder. This human life is not a *tumor* or *cyst* that must be excised to save ones own life, but is a human life all its own. Viewing an ultrasound of that baby prior to having an abortion may deter some *children* from going through with that procedure. Other than the *forcing* aspect of it, I really think it would eliminate a lot of needless abortions. More strenuous parental control on these *children* having sex in the first place would be a better alternative. JMO
I with you, Hayseed. Backwards (or worse) is right. sm
I don't like the sound of this at all. So let's see, this law would *force* a woman to look an ultrasound. Okay, let's say it passes. Then what? Is there a time limit placed on the amount of time she has to look? I mean, is a glance okay? Will that suffice? Or does it have to be a full 30 seconds... 60 seconds... 5 minutes? Does someone have to hold a timer and witness it? What if she refuses to look? Are the police called in to hold her head and keep her eyes pried open?! Come on, now.
Honestly. It sounds ridiculous, uneforceable, and more than a little scary to me.
Not an option in my backwards state.
I would defintely vote for it to be decriminalized. Why should that be illegal when alcohol is legal and much more dangerous?
Backwards night! Breakfast for dinner!
Having bacon, eggs, toast. Usually have pancakes or waffles instead of toast, but not much gumption today...
