I don't think Locke will die. The island will heal him. That whole "Jacob" thing was weird. I don't know quite what to make of that.
And I don't know what kind of game Jack is playing at, hiding things from his own people and taking Juliet's side. Did he feel so betrayed by seeing Kate and Sawyer together that he turned against all of them? He used to be the glue that held everything together. Now it all seems to be falling apart.
I had been enjoying most of the new episodes, but I don't like it when formerly trustworthy people seem to turn on others. That's a bit too "Survivor"-ish to me (I don't watch "Survivor" and from the little bit I know about it, I really really don't like it).
I guess we'll just have to see....

DH and I enjoy Lost, and record it with DVR so we won't miss it. Did anybody see tonight's show? They sure misled us with the promo. Do you think both the man & woman just mostly dead? Because that man could have been bitten thousands of times, right? And he should have recovered sooner ...

So last week's characters are more than mostly dead by now I suppose. I really thought at least the girl might dig her way out, but I guess she was still too stiff.
This week was freaky. Wonder how Locke is going to like his new life? Do you really think Jack was unconscious that long, or was he afraid he wouldn't be trusted if he wasn't treated to the same gassing that the others got? I guess Juliet regreted leaving the handcuffs on when she got her shoulder knocked out of joint! I wonder why the smoke monster didn't go over the top of the microwave (or whatever) fence? Could Juliet have really not known about the monster? And why did it shine a light on her like it was taking her picture? Do you think Ben controls the smoke monster and was spying on Juliet?
I thought it was good, but as usual, more questions than answers.

What did everyone think about last night? I thought Kris looked really uncomfortable during his performance and especially afterwards. Though I really like Danny, he did not live up to that song at all. I felt sad for him. I thought Adam stole the show once again, but Allison was really good too. Cannot wait to see who is left standing after tonight!

Bringing Lost discussion up to top of board (major spoiler alert)
Okay, all you "Lost" fanatics, what are your theories now, and how have they changed? Who or what is Jacob? How did the "original inhabitants" of the island get there? They are mostly Caucasians with American accents, with a few exceptions. They don't look like the usual types of people who are native inhabitants of Polynesian islands - if, indeed, that is where the island is.
Why were Jack and Juliet keeping secrets from the rest of the group? If they had been honest and up front from the beginning about Juliet, maybe they could have all figured out a way to foil Ben's plans without bloodshed.
And will the island heal Locke? Obviously he is of major importance - I don't think Ben heard Jacob at all, and he was jealous and afraid when he realized Locke heard him. That's why he shot him. Ben is turning out to be an even bigger weasel than before.
And what exactly was the Dharma Initiative studying? Does Ben really know? After all, he was only a "work man" like his father.
For every answer, there are a dozen new questions - at least! 
State Nursing Boards
That's terrible! I'm an LPN as well as an MT. Here in Colorado there is a State Board of Nursing that licenses all nurses - RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, investigates complaints, etc. You might try googling the name of your state along with something like "nursing board" and see if there is a similar agency. Please be careful, and I hope you resolve this situation very soon!
Yes - white boards that you write on
the very thinnest you can buy as they are lightweight so not hard for you to take up and down and not all that ugly really if you don't cover them!! We decided on white wall as when we first started shopping we were going to try and hang white boards that we had purchased at Staples/WalMart but realized so much cheaper to buy pieces of wood and cut ourselves - plus will hand down to kids/grandkids when we no longer need so they can draw on them!! I use a fan also in the summer as I have ADD and any interruption noise interrupts my concentration so totally understand the fan - just way too cold for me in the winter and son who works for power company noted they are not exactly energy efficient :( Good luck - let us know!! Thank you also because I never thought about actually covering with fabric until your original post - it would also protect the corners as concerned I might drop on my leather couch at some point and poke a hole in them - although they really are not that sharp - just being cautious I guess!! :))

inuendoes, vulgarity (even inconspicuous ones), spitefulness, bitterness and the like which seems rampant on these boards.
Just as you don't sign on to go to "church:, I don't sign on to be offended. So, in essenece, just deal with it or leave.
and also forum boards seem to be a place to hit..
to hit and run....and not take responsibility for a post....I learned this 11-12 years ago when I first got online - people love to hit and run....especially on public boards/forums.

I find that those who belittle others on message boards
have larger problems in their lives and they come here for a release of their anger. There's no other reason someone would go on and on about my decisions in my own life. I hope things turn around for philly and she has a wonderful Christmas!!

Daughter just passed her state nursing boards. Whoopeee!!!! (sm)
She worked weekends only while she was in school and had 2 children 8 and 5. Child support was fairly regular to the big tune of $329 a month. She did get state assistance on daycare for the youngest, her friend owned a mobile home and let her use it for free, just paying lot rent. We helped with utilities, clothing, and food. Her sister did the babysitting weekends while she worked and helped out while she studied at night. All in all, it was a combined effort and we are all so proud. She worked hard to get to the point where she can now buy a nice home and support her children on her own. So proud, just had to brag.

Did anyone else think that Dolly didn't sound all that great last night? To me, it sounded like she was nervous and couldn't hold the notes out. Don't get me wrong, I love Dolly, but it seemed she just didn't have her whole heart into singing. As Simon says, "just my opinion."

I think the talent is great this year too. I have not been excited in the last couple of years also. I think the best year was When Aken and Ruben were on.

Melinda is the one to beat this year, hands down, no one is really on the same level, especially after tonight. Lakisha will have to show us next week the power that she definitely has. I like the girl from Georgia, maybe Stephanie, not sure but the other ladies can throw in the towel and go home, oh Jordin is good, forgot about her but other than that, do not hold a candle to your power singers. They THINK they are that good, oh I would love to be on the show with Simon, so agree with him. They are so full of themselves, surprised if someone tells them they really have no talent! I am so disappointed with the guys this year. Have no choice there, miss Clay and Reuben!

I love Lakisha's voice - I also like Sabrina. The guys I'm not sure about, but I think Chris has a good chance. He seems pretty versatile too.

Here are my impressions:
Brandon: Poor baby forgot the lyrics. Hello; this is a contest and you aren't the best singer, so ...
Melinda: Excellent as usual, just not a very memorable song.
Chris Sligh: Decided to go with original arrangement, and the judges hated it. I didn't feel strongly either way, which could be a dangerious place to be if America concurs.
Gina: Good song choice, loved her as usual. She has really tough competition though.
Sanjaya: Still here?
Haley: One of her better performances, but ...
Phil Stacey: I thought it was good for him, so hopefully he won't go home just yet since he is not the worst.
Lakisha: Sensational was the word. Fantastic song for her, done superbly. I like this girl. :o}
Blake: Cute, and not bad at all. Let's not send him home yet America.
Stephanie: Surprisingly pitchy for me.
Chris Richardson: Probably not his best genre, but I like him. He shouldn't go yet.
Jordan Sparks: Wowza. Now my sister knew that song she did (from a children's animated movie, apparently), and she wasn't as impressed as I was, but I thought it was great.

I, too, am really disappointed in AI this year. I don't feel like I'm 'addicted' to it this year, and if I missed an episode, it wouldn't be any big deal. I don't care for Melinda. I can't really put my finger on what it is, but something about her just irritates me. Maybe it's her 'aw shucks, really I'm good?' type of personality. Maybe she really is a sweet, modest person, but she annoys me. I leave the room most of the time when she comes on stage.
I like Blake a lot too, but I don't think he has much of a chance of winning. I think the judges' favorites are obvious: Melinda, Lakeisha, and Jordan. My faves are Lakeisha, Blake, and Gina.

This is the first year I have watched. I miss Chris Sligh--I really liked his audition. I cannot for the life of me understand why Sanjaya is still on. I think Simon just gave up on him wondering why people keep voting him to stay. I felt he should have been the first to go. I like Gina and Jordin and the other young girl Haley (spelling?) I sort of hope Sparks wins. She has a very pleasant voice, seems sweet and she is only 17. She just amazes me.

I was so disappointed to see Gina go last night - I wanted Sanjaya to go, of course, but with VOTEFORTHEWORST.COM and Howard Stern - that probably isn't going to happen. I would rather have seen Phil Stacey go than Gina. JMO

I'm tired of Haley with her ultra short skirts and Phil Stacey with his googly eyes. I really like Blake now. I just don't know any more with this season's singers. I guess anything can happen at this point.

I have not seen Girlmore Girls in weeks because of AI (goes on the same time) but I have watched it since it started. I will have to buy it on DVD when available to catch up because I cannot get it to record on my VCR. Is this the last season?

Idol Tour
This year will be my third Idol tour. I had a fantastic time at both. Last year we got to meet everyone but Elliott and the year before we met quite a few of them. If you decide to go, I'm sure you'll have a great time.

My night right before Idol
Last night in the south was frightening. I was in my hall bath with my 3 cats around 7 something last night because of sighted tornado right close by. I was watching the news seeing how close by and when announcement came on blinking red with tornado alert I grabbed the cats and headed towards the inner room. Talk about scary but all over in time for Idol.

I thought Megan was acting like a 6 year old child last night. Oh, excuse me 6 year olds, did not mean to offend! I was suprised to see the bird-like movements and bird-like noises as she was told she was bottom 3 and told where to sit for such. As she and Anoop were being told of the outcome, her face was turning in all kinds of contortions and then she said she really did not care. Well apparently that just broke the camel's back with that statement and Simon said if you don't care, we don't care as well. I was told from years back actions such as hers were "cutting off your nose to spite your face", in other words she might have acted like she did not care when basically hard work to even get that far and her actions (childish) might wreck anyone looking at her as a potential singer. Silly girl!
